Horrible communication, and customer experience negotiating and getting information about the car. Was promised the total price quote via chat, didn't get it until I called them several days later. When spoke with sales associate on the phone was told that the price didn't include BMW certification. The car is listed as certified on BMW site, on dealer site and even on carfax, which is false advertising. When called their sales manager, Dimitrios, I was accused of lowballing, interrupted when tried to explain my frustration in a very rude way. Very surprising to see this type of experience with BMW. Drive to Chicago or other suburbs than getting service, let alone buying car here. Nothing about this dealership is BMW. It's a disgrace, and I am surprised they have been able to exist as long as they have without BMW intervening. They charge a percentage if you want to use a credit card. They will overquote you on services you need that are not part of the manufacturer's recommended guidelines. Unaccountable service. If you leave your car, good luck - other than dealing with subpar customer service, you won't have any idea when you will get it back. There is no craftsmanship here: most luxury auto dealers will take care of your car and give it back clean - I found dirty fingerprints on my roof liner after the service. When told, they promptly cleaned it, but they never used gloves or something because I kept finding more. Just go to the city - you will save time, money, have your car intact, and get the real BMW experience. BMW, please save yourself from these guys. read more

Avoid this BMW dealership at all costs! -$82 charge to pay bill with VISA -$850 charge for standard battery replacement. Three other dealerships said the average cost for a battery and installation was $450. We questioned the need for the replacement. They refused to return the old battery to us at pickup which leads me to believe they felt they were "caught" with an unnecessary replacement and were preventing us from proving it by keeping the battery. -At drop-off the tailgate worked perfectly. At pickup, tailgate did not work. Tailgate had to work for them to replace the battery. We were told the tailgate repair would be expensive and lengthy and since we were out of town, we should take it to our home dealership. We found out later in Michigan that the tailgate didn't work because they had left the plug unplugged during the unnecessary battery replacement (fixed in 10 minutes at our Michigan dealership with confirmation that we likely did not need the new battery). -a broken Vibration Damper was the original reason for service while traveling in Illinois. We later found out there was a service bulletin on this part on the BMW X3 and the repair would likely be covered at no cost. $2800 later...important lesson learned We are done with this dishonest and inept Dealership. -Our experience was communicated to the Bachrodt dealership manager and the dealership service manager. We never heard from any of them to address our concerns. read more

One of the worst experiences I've had going to this dealership for service to my Chevy Malibu. I made my appointment online a week before my service date. Got up early to drop off my car at 7am, the second car to be there for service. My service advisor was Cortland, a completely useless and disorganized individual. After explaining that I only need an oil change & tire rotation and a diagnostic check because my check engine light was on, he assured me that my car would be taken care of. You would think with me being the second care there in the morning for such a routine maintenance that I would have my car back at least by noon. Well, noon came and went with no update, no text message, no phone call. Later, 1pm comes and goes with no update, not text message, no phone call. And, so you can just expect.....2pm comes and go with no status update, no text message, no phone call from the service center to let me know when I can come pick up my car. Well, 3pm is now here and I have to be at work at 4pm, so I call, and to my dismay no one is picking up the phone in the service center. Three times I called with no one picking up the phone. Finally, I get through to the service center and speak to Cortland who sounds drunk, and he tells me that my car has not even been looked at....WHAT!!! I was the second car there in the morning. My car has been there for EIGHT hours. I brought my car in for a simple routine maintenance. NO ONE has even looked at my car. UNBELIEVEABLE. I don't think I would have been so upset if someone had simply called, texted, email, sent smoke signals....something....to simply let me know the status. So, I'm livid. The service was intolerable, so I told them I would be in to pick up my car, but what made me so incredibly ANGRY is when I went to pick up my car, all of the bays were filled with cars being worked on and I WAS THE FIRST ONE AT THE SERVICE CENTER THAT MORNING WAY AHEAD OF THE OTHER CARS. Why would they treat me like this? This is the second time I've gone to Lou Bachrodt Service Center and received absolutely horrible service. Why was I prioritized last when I was first to arrive there? Why would they not provide me with the courtesy of simply notifying me that things will be longer than expected earlier in the day so I could plan accordingly? Why would they marginalize service to me and others I'm sure. And I get that companies are struggling with staff shortages due to COVID, but good customer service would have dictated that other simple interventions could be employed to prevent such a distasteful experience like communicating with a phone call to give a status update. I spoke to Cortland, the service advisor, and then Bob, the manager, but really all I got were insincere, empty apologies, a whole day waisted, and a vehicle that still needed to be serviced. Such a horrible experience, so beware if you take you vehicle to Lou Backrodt Auto Service Center. read more

I called here as my husband is an active duty service member and we were wanting to buy me a brand new BMW. I spoke with Patricia and explained the situation as my car was just totaled and I wanted her to explain the steps to me for active duty service members. She told me she would text me her email and some information on cars and I received nothing. Days went on and nothing. It's almost been a week so I figured I would call and let her know the status of everything as my Husband and I will be ready to buy in about two weeks. I was then transferred to sales and another female picked up and told me Patricia was on her lunch break. Ok that's fine people have lunches, I get it. Then..... I ask for Patricias email so I can email her my contact information in case she lost it. She said she didn't know it. I asked her if she could find out and she said she could not. Not only is my husband a service member, but he is a wounded service member that still serves. My husband could of chose to medically retire at 100%, but he's still serving to give people like you you're freedom every day. He suffered TBI (traumatic brain injury) from his accident and I told Patricia this as well when I first spoke to her! This is a disgusting place and you all should be ashamed of yourselves. Even if he wasn't a service member, you should at least do what you say. Do your workers really not know how to find out someone's email? I will be putting this review on all platforms so people know how you treat your potential customers. Disgusting! read more

Terrible!!!Towed one of my cars and tore the back tires and axles up. HORRIBLE auto sales shop. The owner tries to scam everyone he can by puting old parts in that he claims are (new). "Just take apart the alternator and fix it, then charge them for it new" That's bullshit to the customers that actually work for they're money. Reprehensible at best. I booked a service for an oil change 5-7 days in advance indicating the year make and model number to them of a car I was to have serviced, a car they had previously seen and was in their system. Arrived for my appointment 15 minutes early and 45 minutes later I was informed that they did not have the oil filter in stock for my car and could not change the oil, a service that had been booked days in advance with all details of the vehicle - but no part?? I was offered only to come back on Monday - mind you that I live 1.5 hours away and like most of the public had busted my butt to make arrangements for this as they don't have weekend service - no other solution, no offer to send a runner out to get a filter, no offer to make it right in any way, simply handed the keys to my vehicle and that was it. I received a follow-up call from Bob Augustine after I called the Service Manager who explained it was their fault, but yet had no explanation for why they would allow me to drive in for service for a car which they didn't even have the parts for or why they offered no other solution to get the car serviced that day. Bob did offer me a "couple of gallons" of gas for my trouble and a car wash, a car wash that comes with an oil change anyway - $6 for 3 hours worth of travel *wow*, dropping kids off early, paying a sitter to come early and an oil change that still isn't done - all because the dealership doesn't look at its list of services coming due and coordinate it with its inventory of goods. Honestly the phone call was appreciated, but the laissez fair attitude about my poor service having a basic oil filter in stock and the lack of any solution or any regret for their screw-up is beyond comprehension. If this was a $19.95 oil change and there was a run on cars because it was noon I can understand, but for a $100+ oil change booked days in advance with make and model known, unacceptable. With all sincerity I hope this does not happen to others, but I have a feeling it will and you will be dismissed as callously as I was and no solution offered. You're the consumer, its your problem - pretty poor business model at Bachrodt. Don't bring your vehicle to Bachrodt BMW if you actually want service. read more
