Don't go here for service. Just don't. The only reason I went back to this dealership is because the work they did last summer had already failed. A complete head gasket replacement and a year later the engine is spraying oil all over the place. They won't honor the warranty on a $5000 repair. No offer to make it right, they need another $1500 to fix it correctly. They won't even answer the phone to speak to me. Everything is AI responses to texts. That's a great customer service model Lou Fusz, just great. Subaru must be so proud of you. And let's talk about that work last summer. When I picked up the car after repairs, it sounded like a jet engine ready to take off - squealing extremely loud. I had to go back into the shop and get a mechanic to walk out with me and listen to it (although seriously, you could hear it inside!) He sprayed a little WD-40 on it and sent me on my way. After a $5000 repair - you top it off with a little lube? Needless to say, we were back a few weeks later to replace a belt that was fine before they did the work. While they won't honor their warranty, they wanted me to do some more repairs, lol. FYI: they priced an axle replacement at $959.78. Already had one replaced by a local mechanic for $468.74. So, prices seem to be more than double compared to other shops. Don't let my mistakes by your mistakes. Avoid this place. read more

This isn't the Subaru dealership I frequent but I had been looking for a Thule cargo box for travels and when I searched, the website had this location as one of the places where said cargo box was available for shipping or pick-up. I opted for pickup since it's not super far (~30 minutes from home). I also needed crossbars for my husband's Crosstrek. I should mention, both of these things are Christmas presents for my husband so I really needed them to be available for pickup before Christmas. Everywhere else are either out of stock or have a long wait time for shipping. I ordered my items on Sunday and got a notification that they were ready by Thursday which was great! I came to pick them up on Saturday and it was quite easy. Walked in to the parts counter and was told to drive around to the rolling doors since the cargo box is huge and heavy. The gentleman helping me was very nice. He loaded everything into my vehicle. While I can't speak to their service department or their vehicle sales, I can say that the people I dealt with were friendly and accommodating and getting my items to me on time was fantastic! He has to wait to open them until Christmas but I'm pretty sure the parts will fit as I've ordered the actual crossbars and the cargo box measurements look to be fitting for his vehicle. Made an appointment to go in and buy a car. Get there and the salesperson I made the appointment with wasn't there. I was told to wait - he would be 'right back' . Waited for 45 minutes. Finally went and asked another salesperson to show me the car I was interested in and he said there wasn't one available to show me. Apparently they don't want to sell cars. read more

This was a first experience for me with service at Lou Fusz family of dealerships. I didn't know where to go or what to do, but Matt in service greeted me and answered all my questions, as well as getting me signed in for my appointment. I was kept updated during my wait in the lobby and my car was complete within the ETA Matt gave me upon arrival. Matt also walked me through the service and inspections - fluids, computer, tires. I had purchased my Subaru here late last year and that experience was a solid 5 Star experience. The salesman, Steve Neely, was superb and quite educated on the car and knowledgeable for any questions I threw his way. He was patient during my shopping and not pushy at all. What could have been better was the quality of the 'car wash'. It was more like a car rinse. There was still plenty of dirt and road grime on the car; it was like they just got my car wet. I would knock them a half star for this if I could since I assume it was an automated car wash that they ran the car through. read more

Update to include first experience with the service department. They randomly scheduled an appointment without communication and then called to cancel it. Weeks after I was told all my "we-owe" parts were in, I received another phone call saying all my parts were in. After scheduling an appointment for 9:00 am, and dropping my car off at 8:30, twelve hours later, I do not have my car back nor a single update. I am unimpressed and without my vehicle while the city is expecting the first winter snowfall. Literally, choose elsewhere if it's an option. read more

I am new in town and called ahead to see if I could get my outback looked at for an estimate for a repair. They said yes, come out and we can look at it at 1:15. I arrived and the service tech said they could not look at it anytime that day, and wouldn't even look at it at all for an estimate. I drove 45 min one way through traffic to try to figure out what is wrong with my car based on their appointment. Guess it's better to know now where not to go for service or to buy a new Subaru. We have purchased three Subaru's from this organization and have had very mixed success. The vehicles are great but service has been very spotty. On purchase in 2019 we had driving lights installed through their VIP subsidiary and the install was incorrect though subsequently corrected the electrical system short circuited thereafter destroying one set of lights. The dealer service is expensive but until now was honest then today we were quoted $15 for an "oil cleaning additive" only to receive an $80 invoice when the car was returned. There is a Subaru dealer a bit further away, the will receive all out business now. read more

I received an email from Lou Fusz saying my car was due for service. I fill need the link was told the 18,000 mile service was 141.27 scheduled the service, took a day off work to take the car in, and arrived for my appointment. I was then told even though I was quoted a price that it would be more than 350 to have the service done. I showed the guy the email and the price and all he said was that's wrong. I was then told he would look for a discount for me. I came back to pick my car up and was charged over 330 dollars. I told him I wasn't happy about it but didn't have much of a choice so I paid it and left. It wasn't till I filled out a bad review that the manager decided I should be talked to. Turns out he was aware this was going on but thought that his discount that still more than doubled my quote would make me happy. This is the second problem I've had with Lou Fusz and the second time my problem was ignored till I filed a bad review online. They did in the end decide to refund my money but this should have been handled when I was at the dealership. Seems to be a trend with them that it takes a bad review to get their attention or at least a response. I will never choose Fusz again. read more

Purchased the extended service agreement at the time I purchased my 2019 Crosstrek. I tried several times to schedule this service around 5800,5900 and finally 6000 miles. The first time I tried to have this service done, they had sent home their last oil change tech at 5pm when I didn't show up for my 5pm oil change appointment at 5pm, I was stuck in traffic, I cant control when a semi breaks down in the middle lane of interstate 70. Thing is, service is open till 9pm the day I did this. Why did they send their tech home for oil changes when they still had 4 hours of their Service Department being open? Then I tried to schedule it for sometime this week. The only appointments they had were more than a week out! Well today I left my car at home and my wife took it in for the first oil change at a little over 6000 miles. Free oil change and car wash(more like rinse) but they charged my wife $35 to rotate the tires. How petty can you get, on top of me having to leave my car at home and have my wife take time to get my car serviced after they send their guy home early, they charge for tire rotations on a $700 extended service plan that doesn't actually cover all needed service? I will not be buying a car from Lou Fusz again. I will gladly take my business elsewhere to somewhere that is staffed competently and has the "extended service agreement" that covers all needed service. read more

No selection hardly except for 4 foresters 12 outbacks and a couple BRZs. Sales personnel didn't say anything nor offer to help until we were leaving. In my opinion highly stupid. We bought car from Lou Fusz in 2016, a demo, 3000 miles; the Lou Fusz salesman told us this car comes equipped with a spare tire. Last week we had a flat, and only then discovered the car did not come equipped with a spare tire. I requested of Lou Fusz that they honor their representatives word and supply us now with a spare. They refused, stating - quote this was a sale from long ago and the sales guy that helped you hasn't worked here in over a year. I cannot give you a spare tire kit. unquote. Quality of service has went downhill. My elderly mother has been coming here for years to service her Subaru. She always asks for the conventional oil changes @ $40. Long story short, they screw up and put synthetic oil in it and charged her double that. I think that is absolutely horrible they charged her for a premium oil she did not ask for. Good customer service would have been to charge her for the $40 service she asked for. The next day, she called and left messages for the service manager to call her back to discuss how this can be made right. No call was ever returned. She called again at 2pm and the receptionist said he was at lunch. Draw your own conclusions on that... In conclusion, I feel very strongly my elderly mother was taken advantage of and is being ignored by the service manager. It is evident that the service manager needs to develop his skills in customer service. Moving forward I will be changing my mom's oil myself and she can count on me to put the proper oil in her vehicle. read more

I test drove vehicles with a gentleman and when it came time to buy he refused to communicate via email. He texted me, and when I replied with questions I never heard from him again. Then I went through True Car who connected me with another sales rep, same dealership. While she was off to a good start in terms of communication, she too did not call me when she said she would. When I called her, she proceeded to inform me that there were no cars in a reasonable distance that fit my preferences (yet the vehicles coming from Japan WERE a reasonable distance). When I inquired about an exact match I found online at a dealership in Chicago, she told that I could not afford the vehicle. We had never discussed price. I have never been more insulted in my life. By the way, that dealership in Chicago got my business. read more

Service for a recall - not impressed. Had a valve stem recall, took in my Subaru. Took longer than expected; but was okay with that. Shame on them - the motor had to be removed to replace the valve stems, we brought in our synthetic oil that we use, no problem; but they left in the old oil filter! REALLY?!?! a $6 part - so cheap! Thank goodness it's a top filter on my car, so we can easily replace it instead of draining oil and having to go through that hassle. Be wary and double check the work you have done. This is why we never take our vehicles to a dealer - just had to with the recall. read more

Worst Car Buying Experience. Bought a 2013 Certified Preowned Imprezza. They sent me out the door with a headlight out and a promise that I'd be sent my second key. One month later, another headlight and electronic door locks going out and still no key. In fact, not only did he cover my new windshield wiper blades cost with my warranty, but he also found a coupon online that took another $20 off my total! Our salesperson, Dave Brunk, was very nice and knowledgeable. He showed us specifically the cars I asked about and did not pressure to look at others or to go over our budget. We agreed on a car and a price and I put down $500. They knew I was waiting on an insurance settlement, yet Dave called and told me that if I couldn't come buy the car immediately, they were going to sell it to someone else. I told him when I would have the settlement and be able to come, but he said that his manager would not allow it. Sounds like, in spite of the "sold" sign, another sales person sold it on Brunk's day off and he and I got the short end of that deal. Great place to get service and also buy a car. Had a Chevy Silverado that I got from Lou fusz Chevrolet and I got all my service done at Subaru because their service was excellent. Also get my van serviced there as well that we bought from Lou fusz Kia. I recently traded my truck in for a Subaru WRX and the sales team was amazing. Do not trust this service dept with anything of yours. They will waste your time, give you little to no information about your vehicle, and tell you other things are broken on it. They also don't like negativity on their social media and ha e been deleting comments. Took almost 2 months to get me my car back. Manager will not pickup or return phone calls. Regional manager Mick is apparently fake and doesn't answer emails. This is not how this business should operate. None of this is COVID related and dates back to before anything was stunting their ability to work. I'm writing a huge letter to Subaru to look into this service dept. read more

Brought my vehicle in for an oil change. They cracked the oil pan and then charge me for the oil pan that was their mistake.

I must say I am generally not a huge fan of big name car dealerships, but this place may be the exception. My poor Subie was violently struck whilst parked on the street one morning by some crazy driver who was probably on her phone. At least nobody was injured, well, except for my car... thankfully she had good insurance and I had the car (which was still under warranty) towed to this dealership. Not only did they repair the busted hatch, but they also fixed a rip in my back seat leather which I am not sure to this day how it got there but I suspect it was my spinning wheel that poked a hole in it... there was also something wrong with the car's computer system ("ECU" I think?), and they had to source a new one quickly from another dealership. But it was no big deal. The only thing that kinda bugged me was that they claimed it was a defective part, but after talking to many of my car mechanic buddies, they said someone probably fried it when they were making the other repair. Oh well. I just had to wait an extra couple of weeks for that part to come in, but I did not mind because the loaner car they gave me was AWESOME. Really nice ride. The service dept here is pretty nice and easy to work with. They had copies of all the paperwork ready to go for me at the end and also did an extra detailing of the inside of the car before I picked it up. I probably would not bring my car here for maintenance because they charge a lot of money, and there's a local mom 'n pop shop just down the street from my home (within walking distance) that I like to go to mostly for convenience and pricing purposes... but if my car needs work and it's still under warranty, of course I will return here for any of those needs. Or if I desperately want an OEM repair done by 'the book' I would consider it, but I do all of my own oil changes and any minor repairs (e.g. headlines, wipe blade replacement) on my own if possible to save money. Plus I feel some weird obligation to do this type of stuff as an engineer, LOL. read more

So, you need a car...and you don't want to deal with any bull. Where do you go? That's a good question. There are a hundred dealers with thousands of sketchy salesman just waiting for you to stroll on it. Well, if you are interested in a solid vehicle sold by a great crew you go to Lou Fusz Subaru in St. Peters. My old Subaru was due for a break. It had made it to 248,000 miles and was still doing it's best, but after that many miles any vehicle is tired. I went looking for a used Outback and eventually came across Lou Fusz. I am habitually kinda jerky to car salesman because they give me that dishonest vibe I have learned to pick up on being in law enforcement for as long as I have. Well, after four dealerships I found what I was looking for. I spoke with Richard, a Subaru salesman, who was more than happy to find a used Subaru that fit my bill just right. He had it sent from another location and told me he would call me when it arrived. He did just that. I stopped in and drove this wonderful used car. It was great, but just not what I wanted. I asked what a new Impreza would cost and he told me just what I wanted to know. After a few hours of test drives, talking and information gathering I was sold on a brand new 2014 Subaru Impreza Sport. The sales experience was phenomenal. Richard was savvy and personable, but never pushy. He answered the questions I had as they came up and was able to make conversation during my decision making process. He was patient and at no point did I feel I was inconveniencing him with my general indecisiveness. He spent hours with us and was pleasant the whole time. This was one of the main reasons I felt comfortable paying for a brand new car, something I swore I would never do. Now I am the owner of a great car, I have a great dealership right down the road to support me and I have a continuing sense of satisfaction from my experience. My wife is due for a new car in a couple months, and he is the person I will be going to. If you are in the market for a great car sold by a great salesman, this is the place to go. read more

Stopped by last night to test drive the new Outback model. I was undecided on whether or not I would get the 4-cylinder or 6-cylinder model. The person who I worked with was Randy Page. I told him I was interested in the new Outback and even said exactly what trim I wanted and which color I preferred. He brings me out to the lot and first tries to show me the outgoing model in a 6-cylinder. I told that is not what I wanted. He then brings me to the new model with a 4-cylinder but is the base trim. I again say this is not what I wanted. That is when the salesman starts to give off the feeling that he couldn't be bothered. I got the distinct impression that he was of the belief that he was only willing to show me what he had available and wanted to sell me. That is the type of old-school salesman mentality that I avoid at all costs. This is not the experience a typical Subaru buyer will respond favorably to. I promptly left. While I am aware that there is limited inventory on a new model a better approach would have been to let me know when both cars of interest were in stock so I could drive them back-to-back. The icing on the cake was as I was leaving the lot I saw someone returning from a test drive with one of the models I was interested in. I would have gladly waited to test drive that model but I wasn't even given that option. I called the General Manager and he was apologetic. I have bought four cars from Lou Fusz over the years including one from this location. Needless to say I am unlikely to try them again which is a shame because up until this point my experiences at Fusz have been good. read more

I was in the St Louis area while on a road trip from Chicago. My Outback was due for an oil change, so I stopped in to Lou Fusz St Peters. From the moment I stepped out of my wagon, everyone was extraordinarily polite and helpful. From the guy who welcomed me, the guy who processed my oil change request, to the woman at the cashier area - everyone was super polite and kind. It took me aback! The folks at the Subaru dealer I normally visit in Chicago are quite competent and polite, but the folks at Lou Fusz St Peters were downright friendly and took the time to explain everything to me. I asked for a synthetic oil change and a tire rotation. I was waiting in the waiting area when one of the service folks came in with one of my tires and showed me how my tire had been punctured, had been leaking air, and was now damaged from being low for several hundred miles. I was so thankful that they discovered that before I had a blowout on the way back to Chicago! My oil change was taken care of and although they didn't have the tire I needed in stock, they mounted my spare for me and I purchased a new tire in Chicago. I stopped by about 2 weeks ago to test drive a Crosstrek. I met Randy Page and he was happy to help me out. He was extremely knowledgeable, very helpful, and not at all "pushy". After shopping other dealerships with my wife and driving an Outback, I settled on an Outback and came right back to Randy. Randy's style is laid back, he didn't play any games, or apply pressure. He told me that the car and trim I wanted wasn't in stock, but he let me drive cars with different trim level and showed me other models with the trim level I wanted. I waited until a the car I wanted was on their website, called Randy and finished the deal. It couldn't have been easier. Tony, the finance manager, made completing the transaction simple and quick. I have nothing but praise for Lou Fusz Subaru of St. Peters. Everyone I met was courteous and professional. I will definitely be going back and recommending them to my friends read more
