I was given prices of as high as almost $1000 to as low at $350. A-1 Paint and Body was not the lowest estimate I received, but they wanted, what seemed to me, a fair price for the job they had to do. I took my car in on a Monday morning, and by Wedesday afternoon it was done, as they had promised. When I picked up the car, I couldn't have been more pleased. I found out the shop prioritizes these jobs and pays a lot of attention to detail. But boy oh boy, good luck to you if you come here paying out-of-pocket for your own vehicle. I had three broken car door handles. I stopped by the shop, they took a look, and said they would order and have the handles in within 1 to 2 days. They got those handles, but it took them three weeks before they could even see me to work on my car. It took two weeks before I could get a hold of the girl I originally spoke to, I kept calling over and over throughout the week and they told me she would call me back and she never did. When I finally did come in, damn. They only fixed two of the three door handles because they said they had the wrong piece for the third. They knew I had been waiting a long time so they said they would prioritize it and get me in right away. Not to mention there were marks all over the car doors that they fixed. And these marks did not come off easy. I took my car through a machine wash and also took a squeegee with some soap and it did not come off. When I called about it they told me they have to use a special tool for that. I guess they rushed because I was not an insurance accident vehicle. Additionally, I could no longer unlock my car from the passenger door, which was not a previous issue. I called back all the next week to try and make an appointment to come in and got the same delays as before. It took an additional 2 to 3 weeks before I could be seen. Absolutely ridiculous

Happened upon Shel's new shop on Alt A1A near Northlake Blvd. I was in McDonald's Parking Lot down…read morethe street and I backed out of my parking spot, and put my car in drive to pull forward, and BAM!!! A guy backed out of his parking spot just as I put it in drive. Hit my rear bumper. HARD. Whole bumper had to be replaced because the whole passenger side was smashed in. I asked the gentleman for his insurance information and driver's license. I took the information down. And told him that my deductible was super high. He told me to follow him down the street to his mechanic so he could look at my car. So I followed him to Shel's Auto Repair on Alt A1A by Northlake and the owner, Shel was very nice. He even had rentals. Explains that he could fix my car and that it would take couple days. That interaction took maybe 15 minutes and I left my car there, and left with a rental. Spoke with him the next day, he was expecting a new bumper for me. Spoke to him later in the day, he told me that yes, he did receive the bumper and it was already painted. He was putting it on the car the following morning and I could pick up my car the same day. So he had my car for two full days. Picked up my car and was in and out of there in 5 minutes.
