Highly recommend. I love every doctor here and have been going here since I was 16 years old (I'm Now 34). I had a D&C performed here by Dr Robert's who was so amazing and also had my baby (C-section footling breech) and the procedure was very well done and everyone was so kind. Most of my appointments at time of pregnancy were with the midwife Rachael as I was planning on a natural, unmedicated delivery in the Birthing Inn and she was terrific. They have always been amazing and I have recommended a good 10 people over the years. read more

Really BAD POOR service from the provider and even from the front desk and their manager. Showing no care about the patient, even for the schedule time. Every time wait time here is at least one hour and half. I will never ever referred anyone to come in here. Everyone seems very unfriendly. I've been with this practice 6 years and multiple pregnancies, and the doctors and midwives do a great job taking care of me and my babies. The nurses and phlebotomist, too, have always treated me professionally but warmly. I see some complaints about the front desk staff being rude, but for the past few years at least they've been polite and helpful. I've also called the on-call doctors after hours--sometimes WAAYY after hours, and once for something that turned out to be trivial. (Sorry, Dr. Choudhry.) The doctors have always gotten back to me promptly, listened attentively to my issue, and given me good advice, and they have never belittled me for getting worried about something. This is an excellent quality in a practice, because especially when you're pregnant for the first time it's hard to know what is normal and what's not, and you don't want to worry about being dismissed by your providers. The only reasons this review isn't 5 stars are that you are habitually kept waiting unless you have the very first morning appointment, and that you cannot get a nurse--you always get voicemail. This has led to some extremely annoying games of phone tag, which aren't helpful when you're worried about a test result or symptom. I trust this practice with my life, my health, and the life and health of my babies. read more

This review is hard for me to write because I'm very torn. I have had both stellar and upsetting experiences at the Landsdowne office. I am updating my review because the issue is getting more frustrating and a new issue has come up. 1) Dr. Thompson, Dr. Choudry, Dr. Roberts and Lynn have all been incredible to me. They took ample time to talk about my concerns and make sure I felt heard and satisfied with their recommendations. They never dismissed me just because they weren't very familiar with EDS. Dr. Thompson even referred me to a high-risk practice to make sure I was being care for properly. I haven't seen Dr. Roberts yet, but I'm hoping she'll be as amazing as the ones I've mentioned here. 2) I am high risk and I'm currently almost 32 weeks along and no one has talked to me about my birth plan yet, even though it has been discussed that I will need to be a scheduled C section. Today I called to try and make an appointment with the doctor that I wanted to do my surgery, and I was told I had to wait until I was 34 weeks, which seems very last minute to me. And receptionist was rude and refused to make an appointment saying that I didn't have a reason for one. My reason is I'm the patient and I'm having concerns and what to talk to my doctor. All in all, there are amazing people at this practice that have made me feel safe, but there are some people that might need a refresher in making sure that ALL of their patients feel heard. read more

I have been going to this practice since 2017 when my son was born. When COVID hit in 2019-2020 I decided not to have my annual until I could visit in person, without being subject to potentially getting COVID. They continued to fill my prescription for birth control during this time. Fast forward to Sept 2021, I call to make an appointment for an issue I have been having, and was told that I am no longer a patient and that they could not make me an appointment. Strange, I asked it I owed money, and if so Id pay it right it away, but she said no. She was going to speak with her manager and call me back. I called and left 3 voice mails, with nothing returned. I obviously have to find another OBGYN, and am not happy. How can a practice just drop you, after you have gone to them for 4 years!!!! read more

I got my VBAC! I cannot say enough good things about all of the doctors and staff at this office! I really would have been happy with whatever doctor I had when I delivered at the hospital, but I was over the moon happy that it ended up being Dr. Choudhry. He was caring, gentle, and patient with me during my labor. I feel like if it were another practice I may have ended up with a repeat C-section. I am so happy I chose them. read more

I had such a positive experience with Loudoun OB/GYN during my pregnancy. All of the providers are great, and I especially love Shannon and Rachel! They're the kind of providers who listen to concerns and take precautions but do not push for anything unnecessary. This review is specifically for Dr. Chaudry, whom I strongly recommend no woman be under the care of. When asked if a medication hurt pregnancy he said "google it" for his answer. Permission was not asked for during every physical examination. Further medication later prescribed was not checked for interaction with other medication that were found to be counteracting each other. No test results were ever shared. When concerns about a serious medical issue were brought up by a specialist, his response was "not to worry" without further discussion. No diet or nutrition recommendations were provided. When asking if there were any questions, he held a hand on the door handle in a sign of rush to end the visit while brushing off any questions as not important and interrupting my wife mid-sentence. He never asked my wife how she was doing. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! I've gone here for two years for my annual physical. Each time, I waited AT LEAST 20 minutes before I see the doctor. Last week, however, was the last straw for me. They had the nerve to ask me to come 15 minutes early before my appointment. I got there 20 minutes early. I filled out the forms in 9 minutes cause I have new insurance. I called to set up this appointment over a month ago and asked for a complete physical exam, pap and blood work. I called the day before my appointment to confirm if I had to do fasting, the receptionist said no. So, that obviously meant no blood work. Fine. I let that pass as long as I can get my pap done. I took the day off from work mainly for this. I was able to set up a dental appointment in the afternoon, might as well make the most of my day off! When I got there, I was the only patient in the receiving area and they started coming in after me. There were probably 10-12 patients who came after me. I've been waiting for a total of 56 minutes (36 minutes past my appointment at 11am) before the receptionist informed me that Dr. Thompson was called to the hospital on an emergency. That's fine, it was an emergency, right? They told me a Dr. Roberts will see me instead so I continued waiting, like always. It has been an hour and 20 minutes later when I got up and asked the receptionist how much longer I had to wait because I have another appointment to get to. The Asian lady said that my 'chart' was already pulled out so I SHOULD BE NEXT. There were 3 of us left in the receiving area. After a few minutes, they called the other woman, it was just me and another pregnant woman left. She looked annoyed as well cause she has been waiting a while, too. Guess who they called next after waiting for 1 hour and 55 minutes? That's right, IT WAS NOT ME. And THAT WAS IT. I got up and asked if it was too late to cancel my appointment. The Asian lady said she was going to check what was going on but I said no. I just want to cancel now. I said I was done. Every year, I always have to wait but this is by far the worst and it is ENOUGH. She had the nerve to ask if I wanted to reschedule. REALLY????!!!!!! I just NO, I am done with you guys. I'm going somewhere else. Then I said, "I just want to make sure I don't get charged for this.." She said no. THEY'D BETTER NOT CHARGE ME FOR ANYTHING. IN FACT, I SHOULD CHARGE THEM FOR MAKING ME WAIT TWO HOURS AND WASTING MY TIME! SO YES, IF I WERE YOU... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! This place doesn't even deserve a star but you cannot post this without clicking on at least a star. read more

I really love this practice and all of the doctors I worked with. At 37 weeks pregnant, I went in for a normal check up and was sent to the hospital by Dr. Park because of high blood pressure which ended up being gestational hypertension leading to needing to be induced. The doctors were very patient with the process as it took about 3 days for the induction until everything was ready. I was able to have a vaginal birth which I am really happy about. I also ended up having preeclampsia which was a whole process. I saw both Dr. Thompson and Dr. Park during my week at the hospital due to everything. Dr. Park ended up delivering my baby and helping with my care after my baby was born. She was so patient, confident and knowledgeable. I am so happy she was the doctor to deliver my baby and provide care after the birth. I look forward to future babies with this practice! I also loved Shannon and Rachel! Both were so friendly and really listened to all my concerns. Since it was a first time pregnancy, I had a million questions and they were always addressed with compassion and care. I will definitely be continuing my care with this practice. read more

The doctors and staff at the Landsdowne office are great, however, the receptionist at Sterling office isn't always the most personable and at one point in time recently told me she had booked me but never really did. The office accommodated me anyway at Landsdowne. I am not sure what others in the past have experienced here as far as not being able to get ahold of someone but I've never had an issue. In fact, they even answer the phone 5-10 minutes after hours. The nurses always call back if no one is available to speak to me when I call. My appointments are always on time and as scheduled with minimal wait time which is extremely rare in this area. read more

Fabulous practice! I switched to this practice because I was not pleased with the service and patient care I was getting from my old OBGYN. I can honestly say I have zero regrets about switching and I really can't say enough good things about Loudoun OBGYN. Dr Hickman is wonderful. She is incredibly thorough and patient and I have never felt rushed during an appointment. She is personable and even remembers little details about your life & job and seems sincere when she asks how you've been. She is happy to answer any questions and even write details down for you. The nursing staff is great as well, everyone is always so polite and professional and friendly. Whenever I have had questions outside of an appointment the office staff & nurses are quick to call me back and relay messages back to Dr Hickman. I also love that this practice has a certified nurse midwife on staff!! And their practice is associated with the birthing inn at Loudoun hospital. read more

While I loved the midwives they had at their practice, the doctors were less than helpful. Shannon (who delivered my son would have kept me as a patient but she has left for physician and midwives in Alexandria). I was having to have surgery at 35 weeks pregnant and the doctor promised to write an order for continually monitoring during surgery. Then said the reason why I did not have continual fetal monitoring was my surgery was not at loudoun and blaming me for not having the surgery at a hospital they had admitting rights to. Another doctor gave different story to why I had no continuing monitoring. I have since found out that before and after is standard procedure but the way In which I was informed was unprofessional. And when I asked them a direct question about my pregnancy (nothing unusual) I was told, "I do not know" and she showed no desire or ability to ask another doctor at the practice or research it. None of the doctors at the practice make me want to ever visit there again.... however followed Melissa (midwife) to fairfax obgyn and would follow Shannon if it was not so far. read more

I'm happy to report the practice seems to have gotten some new front desk staff, and my more recent visits/encounters with them (there have been at least 3 interactions with Front Desk staff since my original review) have been much better! And, of course, Dr. Thompson is still awesome! read more

This is the absolute worst practice I have ever been to in my life! I would highly NOT recommend this practice! If I weren't eight months pregnant, I would change my doctors office in a heartbeat. The front desk staff, ladies that schedule appointments, and anyone that has answered the phone, has been completely unhelpful, acted as if their time is more important, and out right rude. When you are having a baby, going to your gynecologist should be a feel-good, exciting experience. Staff should be compassionate, understanding to questions, and have fast replies. I thank goodness that this is not my first pregnancy or else I would be completely lost and so worried and concerned. When scheduling appointments at Loudoun OB/GYN, they only give you one or two options of times that work for them. They do not work with schedules nor do they schedule further than a couple weeks in advance. Three times, they called me to confirm my appointment with the incorrect time. I then had to call them back, be placed on hold for 10-15 minutes each time, to them telling me "oh, that's what I meant". Never a simple apology. The person that schedules, is adamant about you seeing every doctor, even if the times don't work for your schedule. This is not absolutely not acceptable, if I'm willing not to see every doctor. When calling to ask one of the nurses a question, no one has ever answered the phone. You always have to leave a voicemail, and it takes an entire day for anyone to get back to you. 10th Red Flag: I had my one hour glucose screening. The lady called back to let me know that I did not pass and I had to come back for the three hour glucose test screening. I was not going to be in town that next week, and I let her know. She told me I had to come back this week. I told her I couldn't and I was out of town. She continuously huffed and puffed at me. (As if I wasn't worried enough already). When I was trying to schedule three hour test, she put me on hold 4 times for 10-15 minutes each time. She would come back and tell me she has only two times available. The only 2 times she had available, did not work for my husbands schedule. (We have a one-year-old, that what my husband would have to watch during that time). I couldn't believe the rude and unprofessionalism this woman had. She wasn't willing to work with me, nor even help make the situation work. The worst experience and customer service ever! Another red flag: I had my three hour glucose test on a Thursday morning. The office let me know that they will call me on Friday to let me know the results. They didn't call on Friday, even with me having left a voicemail. Now, I will have to wait all weekend for test results that I'm somewhat worried about. What doctors office does this? This is the final straw!!! The one and only pro is that the actual doctors are great. The midwife Shannon is so kind, positive and helpful! This practice really needs to reevaluate the staffing of their office. Their front office and scheduling staff are absolutely awful and because of that I would never recommend this doctors office unless there were changes made. read more

I am a new patient of the practice. First to become a patient one office said they weren't taking new patients and other location said they were. Consult with Dr. Roberts was good, she was nice but one called me with results from testing done durining that visit. I had a second appointment for a biopsy thats when i got results from first visit. when I called office for biopsy results front desk said my chart was sent to other office location. Aren't things electronic now days? I called and left several messages on nurse line and on one occasion the front desk hung up on me. I am still waiting for a call back over a week later to discuss my concerns about the biopsy. poor consumer service! read more

I've been a patient at Loudoun OB/GYN for almost 5 years and have been very happy with my experience there. Dr. Park delivered both of my babies via c-section and everything went very smoothly both times. She always took the time to answer questions and personally called me to go over test results and other issues on numerous occasions. All of the nurses and other doctors there have been extremely friendly and knowledgeable as well. We had a little trouble getting pregnant, but I always felt like Dr Park kept me informed and was always very reassuring. Overall I am very happy with the care I have received! read more

I am only giving this two stars, instead of one because I had a great experience with Dr. Coleman. If I was basing my rating on her alone, my rating would be a 5. My experience with the office staff and nurse was TERRIBLE! This is my very first pregnancy and I called to schedule an appointment to confirm pregnancy etc. I had already been to my GYN who referred me to this practice to get my eight week sonogram etc... When I called the receptionist only gave me one available date, the following week. I asked her to look one more week out for another possible appointment. I explained to her that I had already missed 2 days of work that month, being ill, and needed to look into the next month(only two weeks away) so that I could have another sick day and not go unpaid. She refused to do so, stating that "I might not even be pregnant." That is just what a first time mother wants to hear. I begged and pleaded and she refused, so against my better judgement, I took the only appointment she would offer me because I was desperate to see my baby(to make sure "it was really there"). Fast forward to the appointment.... My GYN told me that they would more than likely do an 8 week sonogram, so my husband took off work, so that he could be there too. When the nurse called me back for my appointment, I informed her that my husband was on his way and would be there soon. She looked at me like I was a complete idiot, and asked, "Why is your husband coming?" I explained that this was my first pregnancy and he wanted to see the sonogram. She immediately started lecturing me, in the hallway, we hadn't even made it to the room. She asked why I thought I was going to get a sonogram, she informed me that I might not even be pregnant, and continued on and on about why I should not be so silly to think that I would get a sonogram. I felt so defeated, sad, and stupid I almost started to tear up. THANKFULLY, Dr. Coleman overheard the whole ordeal and interrupted the lecture. She said she would be happy to do a sonogram for me. While I was back with the nurse, my husband showed up and sat in the waiting room, until the sonogram. He said the whole time he was in there the reception staff was talking about me very loudly and clearly. They were basically saying that I should not have assumed that I was getting a sonogram etc... THIS IS MY FIRST PREGNANCY! I had NO IDEA what to expect! I was going off what my GYN told me. Having a baby is supposed to be enjoyable, not miserable. After this experience I decided to switch practices. I called to have them fax my information to my new doctor. The lady that I spoke with tried to tell me that I had never visited their office. I told her my appointment date/time/doctor and asked her to keep checking. She finally found it, and when I asked her to fax the info over, she asked if I was switching doctors. I told her that I was, and she then told me it would take her 5 to 10 business days to fax it to my new doctor. Really?! Needless to say they NEVER faxed it!! In summary, the reception staff and nurse were rude, unprofessional, and lacking compassion. If these qualities are important to you, then go somewhere else! read more

Here's my experience with both Dr. Thompson and Dr. park. (I'm leaving some details out because the post is already long)!. Back in May, 2018 around my 37 and 1/2 weeks of pregnancy I found out that my baby was in a transverse position! Dr. Park stepped in that same week and turned the baby around in the right position! I remember people telling me that it will hurt and there can be some side effects and can put the baby in danger but Dr. Park was so confident with what she was doing! I felt that my baby was safe and in good hands with her turning him around. and she did it so fast that I really didn't feel any pain but some discomfort which was expected since she was turning a whole human being around in my womb! On my due date my water broke and of course I went to the hospital at 1am. There they found out that the baby had shifted again and his head was sitting on my pelvic bone! So they waited to see if he would move on his own and finally when Dr. Thompson came in the room because her shift had just started early that morning she suggested to the nurses to sit me up in a certain position and to lay me down on the bed in another way, we did that the whole day until around 3:30pm when it seemed as if the nurses started to give up. They told me that I should think of getting a c-section because there's no way the baby is going to be delivered naturally and I was almost convinced by what they were telling me even though I asked Dr. Thompson weeks before I went in labor that I didn't want a c-section.. I remember her saying 'I can't promise anything but I will do my best'. Well.. her BEST she did and it was AMAZING! She came in around 4pm that day and she told me that we can still try deliver naturally and come to find out the baby finally moved his head to the right direction and gave birth to a healthy munchkin!! Dr. Thompson displayed patience and kindness throughout the whole ordeal. I was almost convinced that I had to have a c-section but she's the one who encouraged me to wait a little bit longer and it worked! And now she's my favorite OB! read more

The experience that I had through my pregnancy was good with this practice. Most of the doctors were caring and really great. My favorites were Dr. Roberts and Dr. Choudhry. However, my experience during actual labor and delivery lowers my rating. I was happy that Dr. Choudhry was there at the beginning of my labor because he was patient and had a sense of calm about the whole thing that was really helpful! But I had the misfortune of a shift change after a few hours and Dr. Park came in and it became completely impersonal. She artificially broke my water (without consent) when I specifically requested that labor progress naturally and without unnecessary interventions (this one being specifically mentioned) and she did this just to speed things along. This made my labor much more intense when it didn't have to be and ruined what had so far been a great labor experience. It really shook me that she would do something that mattered so much to me without asking and just assuming that she could do whatever she wanted to my body. After about 13 hours of labor and 4 hours of pushing I finally had my beautiful baby girl naturally and she came in the next morning talking about my epidural wearing off when I never had an epidural! She had absolutely no idea who I was and didn't even put any effort into pretending. I originally requested to have a midwife assisted birth (Shannon from Loudoun OB/GYN) but she was out of town on that weekend. I believe that if she had been available it would have been a much better experience. Needless to say, I will not be using their services again for anything pregnancy related unless I have a guarantee on specific doctors/the midwife being available for the delivery. read more

Absolutely horrible practice. They are very disorganized and I waited an hour and a half past my appt to finally get taken back. There I waited even longer for Dr. Thompson and I did not care for her at all. She is very argumentative and insisted on doing an annual exam when it wasn't necessary. When I got my lab bill she actually ran numerous tests and I as the patient, do not even know what she ran! Ridiculous, do not go here. read more

Dr. Thompson and her "nurse" deliberately put me into opiate withdrawal. I should have known after the first issue with medication - I'd been having severe pain, and had been told by my primary care (PC) that my OB/GYN should be the one prescribing the pain medication. Dr. Thompson agreed to do it and wrote a 1-week prescription. After the week was up, I called her office for a refill - and they completely flipped out, saying I had taken WAY too many, even though I had taken them exactly as prescribed. It was almost like they thought they'd written a 1-month rather than a 1-week. I was flabbergasted. After that they acted like I was a drug addict and told me I needed to get my PC to write them.. which he did. He hadn't had a problem with doing so, he had just thought that since it was for a GYN problem that I was going to have surgery for that the GYN should take care of the meds. Obviously it was not something she was willing to do, and this SHOULD have clued me in. See, after the surgery that we had planned - hysterectomy - the pain would hopefully be gone and I could stop the pain medication. Everyone knows you have to step down for that; you can't just go cold turkey. Look up Opiate Withdrawal for how terrible it is when you do so. She agreed to step me down off of them as part of my after-surgery plan. After the initial pain meds directly after surgery (7-10 days, don't remember which), she refused to issue any to start the step-down process. Her nurse - very condescendingly - said if I insisted on more for pain that they would issue Tylenol 3. That wasn't the point and I reminded her that Dr. Thompson was supposed to step me down - had straight up said she would - and all I got was a brief silence, then a repeat of the Tylenol 3 directive. The next day I started into opiate withdrawals, and they ramped up quickly. If you have never experienced these, there is no way to really describe them properly. Just remember, heroin is an opiate.. same symptoms. Sweats, chills, fever, severe gut shooting pains, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, insomnia, depression, shaking, lethargy.. so bad you can't even cry, and just curl up in a little ball wishing for it all to end. And it can last for months - you can't sleep, you can't eat, you can't work, you can't have a normal life, until your body stops withdrawing from it. Was it premeditated? Considering her now-obvious problem with prescribing pain medications, yes, I believe it was. Either way it goes against that oath they are supposed to take to not cause harm to their patient - but knowing full well you're lying to your patient's face makes it ten times worse. It is a complete betrayal of the doctor/patient relationship. I've had my share of bad GYN's.. just before this had been a pretty rotten string of them so I thought I was glad to find her. Don't be fooled like I was! Please note I am not telling anyone whether or not to see her - that's not my place. But I thought other people should know what she is capable of so they can make an informed decision. This is what I went through - what she did to me, and every word of it is true. In Summary: Dr. Thompson of Loudoun OB/GYN lied to me - twice - and deliberately put me into opiate withdrawal, which I would not wish on my worst enemy. read more

I am so late posting this review (had my baby in April) but I wanted to be sure to do so because Loudoun OBGYN absolutely deserves it. I chose this practice because a friend of mine delivered with Dr. Roberts , loved it here, and highly recommended it. She did a lot of research on finding an OBGYN for her delivery so I felt comfortable with her choice as mine as well. I was terrified of labor and delivery and not only did they hear my concerns and ease my mind, but they helped make the labor and delivery process go soooo smooth! Dr. Choudhry and Midwife Shannon Wise are an AMAZING team! Both of them made me feel so at ease from the moment I met them and this continued to the delivery of my baby. They did everything they could to allow me the opportunity for a vaginal birth. For that I cannot thank them enough. They discovered an issue that was preventing me from dilating and took action to resolve it. Shannon held my hand and kept me calm throughout the epidural process which was so helpful! I could go on and on but long story short is they far exceeded my expectations and we could not have been happier with them. Even though they are 30 minutes from my home I plan to continue with them as my OB. Highly recommend Loudoun OBGYN! read more

Everyone has their own experiences with certain offices and I understand that completely, but I must comment that I have had nothing but an absolute positive experience with the doctors, nurses, and front office staff. I actually switched to this practice once I found out I was pregnant not knowing much about it other than what I researched online but I am so glad I chose this place. Each one of the doctors are WONDERFUL and they really take their time to listen to concerns and provide a level of understanding that is comforting, especially for a first time mom. Whether it's Dr. Choudry, Coleman, Hyun-Park, Roberts-Borden, or Thompson, you really cannot go wrong with the level of care at this practice. Also, despite the other comments, throughout my entire pregnancy the front office staff was always very accommodating and helpful in scheduling appointments, getting paperwork signed that I needed, and providing appointment reminders. Again, this place is top notch and highly recommend the practice to anyone who is looking for a new OBGYN. read more
