You'll have more boutique and locally owned businesses, or the big Dillards, Sephora. They are building a Dick's Sporting Goods here and a ramen place! And I think this is the only place that has Cheesecake Factory, Savage by Fenty, and Lush. So, it's not bad! We've come here often enough that it's better than the malls closest to us and the outlet, imho. There's plenty of parking, but because of the construction, you'll want to park in certain areas.

The variety of stores seem to be getting lower and poorer. The Galleria use to advertise, "Where the Best Stores put their Best Stores". Now when I stroll the mall, I'm lucky if I see a familiar branded store. I basically only come for two stores now. I shop the Apple Store, which I am surprised is still located in the mall. I would have expected them to depart to a strip center somewhere else in the metro area. The other store I frequent is Tommy Bahama, but I don't shop there as often as I use, too. I can now just go on line and have it shipped to my home. My most recent visit, I could see the wear and tear of the Galleria and a desperate need for repairs and maintenance. As long as Apple remains a tenant, I'll keep coming back.

I was pleasantly surprised by Restoration Hardware on the second floor and we were told it must be pretty new bc it wasn't there before. I enjoyed walking around and window shopping. There is a lot of money in this mall and some of the stores were very pretentious (Louis Vuitton, here's looking at you!), but it's a fun browse and if you are looking for one of these stores in particular, you're in luck bc they're all housed here under one huge shopping mall. Rarer and rarer these days... Mall was well-kept and clean. The bathrooms needed some TLC but, it was mostly a clean and spacious mall.

It smelled so bad going down the long hallway. Toilet paper all over the floor and 2 stalls weren't clean, if you know what I mean. Luckily the lady who cleans was coming in as I was leaving, but for it to get that bad... hopeful it's cleaned pretty routinely.

The shopping center includes Famous Footwear, DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse, Petco, Home Goods and my target, the Dierbergs Markets supermarket. The lot is clean and appears well lit. It was classy for the largely, middle class, white suburban audience. All that was razed to create the chopped up Overland Plaza with multiple buildings in 1990. Today the main stores are a Schnucks grocery, Marshall's, Dollar Tree, CVS Pharmacy, and Foot Locker. Dozens of smaller stores and offices provide nail, wig, payroll check cashing, eye care, mobile phone, banking, and sports goods and services. McDonalds, Subway, and Wing Stop offer dining options.

Chuck Berry. Maya Angelou. Tennessee Williams. Nelly. The Loop is named for the Loop Trolley. It launched in 2018, hit some operational and funding issues, and ended service in 2023. I'm bummed that I missed the opportunity to ride it. Maybe it returns one day? But even without the Trolley, the Loop is one long ribbon of activity. They have ground beef, rib eyes, French fries, cheese and more. They also have foil, containers, gloves, ans more. The customer service is good. I was greeted when I walked in. The check out was fast and efficient. One lady told the cashier how many and the price of every item in my cart. There's parking on the street as well as a parking lot. But parking is very limited.
