Concern Regarding Extended Warrant Refund In 2018, we purchased an Acura RDX from Lougheed Acura trusting in their strong reputation. At the time of purchase, we were encouraged to buy an extended warranty. Since the car was brand new, we believed it was a prudent decision and trusted that Acura would guide us in the right direction. We purchased the extended warranty for $2,800, understanding that $800 would be the actual cost and that if we did not use the coverage, we would receive a $2,000 refund after six years. The company you HIGHLY recommended held our money for six years without any interest payments. Unfortunately, because we did not submit a refund request within four months of the warranty's expiration, (we submitted at 5 1/2 months unaware of time frame)we were informed that we are no longer eligible to receive our reimbursement. We are extremely disappointed by this policy, which feels misleading and unfair. Yes, we didn't read the 6 page contract in mini font with the last few few lines saying we needed to apply for a refund within time frame. we trusted our sales re to be providing fair service. It is disheartening that a company we trusted would support an insurance provider that does not prioritize best practices. We have been loyal customers, however this experience has made us feel that your company does not truly stand behind its customers. We urge you to reconsider recommending this insurance provider in the future to prevent other customers from experiencing similar frustrations. read more

Now made in the states instead of Japan it features a turbo engine and available adjustable dampers , both firsts for an Integra . Mild dislikes include a CVT automatic ( no gears ) and the fact that it's no longer available in an instantly recognizable coupé format . Sad face . Also note pricing of its higher trims not that far off from an EV . Lougheed Acura fits the stereotypical reputation of a greasy car salesman. Do NOT come here. Go to Burrard Acura instead. We were met and greeted by Silvio. We were very upfront about our pricing, budget, and expectations. While he was very knowledgeable about the cars that we looked at, he was very reluctant to talk about pricing. He was more excited to talk about how all their cars are so beautiful and how they have the best selection and the lowest prices and how we wont find better anywhere else. Right off the bat, he appeared very insincere. Afterwards, when we did sit down and get to it, we began to ask him about warranties. He repeatedly stated that that is not his department and he has no idea how much it would cost. It took us asking him at least three times until he was willing to get up and get us a ballpark figure. It became a struggle to find out any information bout additional pricing for warranties. When we were debating whether or not to extend the warranty as that would put us over our budget, he must have sensed that we were wavering as he would say things like acuras NEVER break down. If that was the case, why do we even have warranties? Insurance? In addition, he was not willing at all to negotiate the price. Throughout the interaction, I just began to feel more and more stressed out and anxious. When it became increasingly clear that we wanted to go, he would ask us, and i quote "well what did you expect?" He said this several times and each time he said it, the more I wanted to get out of there since we felt so pressured and trapped. It honestly became more of a back and forth than anything else. When we talked about pricing, he told me "dont think about the price. tell me how much you like this car from 1-10." Silvio was COMPLETELY unwilling to talk about the final price until he knew what i wanted as a biweekly price (a sneaky sales tactic). When I told him the figures he was giving me was out of my price range he told me that i could always just extend the loan. Not exactly sound financial advice.  These guys don't know how to do business. Their people skills clearly need help. He completely pressured us into trying to sign a deal that day. He was passive aggressive, insincere, and honestly, I could not stand him.  A few days later I looked at reviews and called and asked to speak to Chris Choi. The impression i got over the phone was similar to Silvio's. He asked me several times for my name and phone number so that he could tell me if the car would sell. When i told him it is okay and i am not really that interested and tried to change the subject, he retorted, "I asked you for your name and phone number. How will you know the car sold or not if i do not have your name?" Keep in mind this was less than a 30 second phone call and then, i had called in order to see if their staff was all like this.  Honestly, had the interaction been more pleasant, I would have signed papers for the car even if it put me over my budget.  I went over to Burrard Acura that same day and the difference was night and day. Go to Burrard Acura...their sales team and manager are way better. I ended up buying from them and will be taking ALL my business there from now on.  Of note, I find it interesting that this review (see photo) was taken off. I bought a used car from here 3 years ago. Found out there was something wrong with the starter/ engine and brought it in to get serviced they reset some codes and fixed the starter how ever the problem re-occured. Since we live close by the langley location, we decided to bring the car there for them to have a look. After the inspection, they did not find out what's wrong with the starter/ engine and suggested us to take it to this location since they should have the records. I called Lougheed Acura and told them the situation and we booked an appointment for Friday Sept 22 and I advised that I would drop off the car on Thursday, Sept 21st in the evening so my wife wouldn't have to drive me on Friday however, That didn't work out so i decided to drop it off Friday morning. Sure enough, when we got there they advised that the parts have been ordered and we were being told that the parts have not arrived and we have to go home and wait for their phone call. Both my wife and i had to take a day off hopefully to get this fixed. They didn't advised me that they were ordering any parts over the phone and they didn't advise me that the parts were not there. So we wasted our travel time and our day off to try and get a problem fixed that didn't get resolved and we will have to come back another day once the part arrived. A simple phone call to advise us that the part is not in and to schedule an appointment that they can actually service the car would've been appreciated. read more

I have always been an Honda/Acura fan ever since I started driving. I have purchased two vehicles from this dealer and the service were all exceptionally excellent. The first vehicle we bought from them is a used Acura TSX premium model. White color, black leather interior color. I did go to all the other Acura dealers in town to look at the TSX's they had for sale; Northshore, Burrard, Langley, Richmond each had a few but none of them came close to the condition of the ones for sale here. My TSX used to be a courtsey car, and it does have a few scratches and dings when I bought it. But the manager, Patrice, agreed to repair all of them before we take the car out. They did not cut corners on repairing them, every damage was fixed professionally. First time dealing with these guy, had an absolutely excellent experience. Even tthough it took some effort to work the price down but we got a really good deal at the end. The second vehicle we bought from them is a used 2012 TL Sh-awd tech. Again, we walked into the door and was greeted by the same salesman we bought the TSX from. Same story with the TSX, this TL was a lease comeback, it had some scratches on the back bumper. But Patrice offered to fix them for free. Another really pleasent time dealing with Lougheed Acura. At the new dealer, the service department offers free coffee and free pop. And the shop looks really from the window. The service advisors are friendly as well. Scott Bagnell is the guy to go for to service your Acura I am going to drive Acura for my whole life most likely; and as long as these guys are here, I will buy from them. And as long as William(the salesman who sold us the two acrs) is not retired, I will buy from him. If he was the grand master for four years in a roll, that means he really know what he is doing and he is good at it. read more

I would say this interaction wasn't horrible but could have definitely gone better. I was dealing with Iris who was okay but she dropped the ball in a couple areas. I had started emailing on Thursday advising that I would be down on Saturday to check out one of their pre-owned vehicles. When I got to the lot on Saturday the car looked like it had been hosed down but the interior was a mess. Debris throughout and the interior door panels and dash definitely needed a proper cleaning. With the notice I had given her you would think the car would have been properly detailed before I arrived. The car had a couple minor dings on the body and ended up with condensation inside the vehicle which was odd and it had been in an accident so I felt they were asking a bit too much for it. When we were chatting about prices I mentioned that there were a lot of similar vehicles on the market and right away Iris said "then why did you come to our lot?" That comment and the way she said it was a little on the rude side so she lost any chance of a sale at that point. There are so many options out there I'll give my money to someone who has better skills in the art of negotiation (and who puts the work in getting the vehicle prepped properly). read more

Sold us an 2017 Acura tlx in September and the vehicle had a vibration issue we ended up going back 12 times and then they finally told us they couldn't fix it 5 months later. Acura Canada was involved and that really didn't help either. Dealer took the vehicle back but gave us $8000 less than what we paid including taxes. We were told the car would go for auction and guess what the car is on the website for sale for more than what they gave us. read more

This has been my dealership for most of my car needs for the last 4 years or so and things have been pretty good. I've had work completed by their service department and everything on that end has been great. There have never been any surprises or unexpected charges, they have always been clear about what needs to be done and how much it costs. Where this place lacks is the waiting area. Often when I come in for an oil change I like to wait, bring out the laptop and do a little work. The waiting area is just not very comfortable and they don't have amenities like free wi-fi. I think installing better seating and a little bit of work space would be a much nicer touch, this is something that open road Toyota does very well. read more

Very disappointed with the service provided by Tony Pakniyat. I contacted him about a vehicle advertised on the website and I was informed it was available. I booked the first visit and minutes before he informed the vehicle was in service. I kept contacting him and booked other visit in a different day. Again I was informed the vehicle still in service. For the third time I tried again and he informed the same (vehicle in service). At the point I could understand the situation. I could not understand when I got a email from him saying the vehicle was already sold. Being honest with clients is always the best thing to do. Very disappointed!!! read more

Terrible customer service. Staff are rude and short, blames customer for causing the issue instead of taking any responsibility. Whatever happened to the "customer is always right" attitude? My mother went in to fix her wipers on her CSX which she bought from the dealer years ago, and after 3 trips they couldn't fix the problem. Finally one of their services technicians figured out a missing part they had forgotten to order, and promised to re-order and fix, but when the vehicle was brought into the shop again, we found out that they didn't order the part and claimed that it is not their responsibility. Issue with the wipers still unresolved. Tried to complain but weren't even able to speak with a manager. read more

I am not a fan of car sales men because in general i had bad luck and have been lied to on several incidents. However, this has changed since my recent encounter at Lougheed Acura. My accord was written off due to an accident and the last thing i wanted to deal with was buying a new car - as if ICBC isn't enough! I was referred to Patrice C., he was simply amazing. I ended up purchasing a RDX from him and i'm not raving about him because he sold me car, but he went above and beyond my expectations. I've always been skeptical about car salesmen but he made the transaction easy. He accommodated to my needs and listened to what i wanted, and he delivered. Even though i bought a used vehicle and paid the day before, he gave me brand new all season tires when i went to pick it up the next day - instead of replacing them with low quality ones. I wasn't expecting new tires, I just assumed he would replace the winter tires with whatever used all season tires he had in stock. He absolutely blew my mind when i went to pick up my car. I am highly impressed and will most definitely return in the near future. I recommend seeing Patrice. He is easy going, helpful, funny and definitely will listen to your needs. read more

My husband and I bought a used 2005 Acura MDX from Lougheed Acura in May, 2012. We thoroughly enjoyed the buying experience compared to other dealerships as our salesman, William Lau, listened to our needs and was very low pressure. The MDX we bought was originally sold by the same dealership and we were assured that all regular service and maintenance had been completed and on schedule. We were provided with copies of the service records that outlined all the work that had been done over the past 7+ years. We walked out of the dealership happy and confident in our purchase. After two days of driving the vehicle the drive belt began squeaking. We brought the MDX back to the dealership. We worked out a deal in which we would pay for the new belt and the dealership would cover the cost of the labor. However, once we began diving into the details of the service work (because the service report stated the belt was replaced) we learned that some of the scheduled maintenance wasn't carried out as recommended by Acura. Specifically, at 7 years the timing belt is supposed to be replaced and the water pump inspected. This was not done; however, the service report we were given upon purchasing the suggested it was done. At this point, we were becoming extremely frustrated because it was starting to feel like the vehicle we purchased wasn't what we thought it was. We got in contact with Patrice Croteau, the sales manager at Lougheed Acura. Patrice was phenomenal. We explained to him our issues and right away he said they would replace the timing belt and inspect the water pump on the dealerships dime. We had them replace the water pump just for peace of mind and they charged us just for the part. We were also having problems with the door locks and even though this wasn't part of our issue with the service records, Lougheed Acura looked into this for us free of charge and determined that the door lock actuators needed to be replaced. The dealership called me back to inform of the issue and before I could even ask how much to replace the actuators Nicole, the service representative, told me that the dealership would take care of the cost of replacing them. Lougheed Acura went above and beyond in customer service; not something you would expect from a car dealership. We will definitely be buying our next vehicle from them and strongly recommend them for your next purchase or service work. read more

We have met some great sales people, but also aggressive or arrogant staff as well. When we finally narrowed down to purchase an Acura TSX 2012 model, we didn't even have a second thought who we would go to deal with. Ismail Fazal from Lougheed Acura was the guy who gave us a great first impression. We visited Ismail again 5 months later, happily bought the car we wanted and really appreciated his terrific assistance. He treated us very very well. He is fun to talk to, warm-hearted and easygoing. I'm working in retail, and Ismail knows exactly how to make his clients comfortable and happy. Design likely dictated by Acura Canada to a certain extent, and probably intended to serve as a platform to showcase their vehicles. Professional staff throughout. So far... great experience. We have been looking at cars on and off for the last few years and have been to MANY car dealerships. Many of the salesman have been pushy, not very knowledgeable and/or generally unpleasant to deal with. Our salesman at Lougheed Acura was so down-to-earth and not pushy that we ended up buying the car from him instead of the auto broker AND he helped us to negotiate a better price than the auto broker was going to be able to give us. The business/finance managers were also great during the process. They were able to offer me a great price on the warranty and protection packages. Even the people that told me not to buy the warranty or protection packages thought it was a great deal. They were also able to help save me some money on the financing which I would not have even known to ask. Amazing! This review would not be complete without also saying that the sales manager is incredibly friendly and helpful! He went out of his way to make us feel like valued customers and almost feel good about spending $70k on a car! He personally helped us and walked us through the basics when we purchased. I agree with some of the reviews that the place needs refreshing... great news! They are moving to their new location at the other end of the street shortly which appears to be at least twice the size of the current location! I can't wait! read more

From my first visit to Lougheed Acura, I felt very comfortable dealing with Surinder. He was helpful, friendly, made sure all of my questions were answered without any pressure to make a sale. Surinder introduced me to Patrice who was a pleasure to deal with and very knowledgeable about the business. Surinder and Patrice stayed over 30 minutes after closing on a Saturday to answer my questions. At the end of my first visit, I knew this was the car for me. I brought my parents to take a look the next day and Surinder and Patrice answered all of their questions yet again. To retrieve a radio code to use my radio, they wanted the serial number off my radio. What did they want to charge for this service? $140.00!!!! I replied ``What the hXXX for???`` I was tired of being taken advantage of. The person on the phone replied `" hour labour. I was angry, since I knew it took only a minute - I just hate reconnecting the harness - having done it before myself. I replied "/$%! and other assorted disapprovals. I then spoke to a service person at Burrard Acura (James) and he said "it takes time``. I went out and removed it and had it back IN HIS HAND in less than a minute. To his credit, the service maneger helped me out at Burrard Acura. He seems to take service seriously. Lougheed are gougers, as far as i`m concerned. read more

Ok, so we are actually still in the process of getting a few things ironed out, but I felt the urge to write a review about my experience so far. Me and my wife walked into the dealership to trade both our old cars for two newer cars from their used lot (still too broke to afford brand new cars..but one day ahaha..). Anyways, I grabbed a Honda Civic 2006 and my wife a Mazda Tribute 2011. The salesman, Youngjin (sorry, if I spelled your name wrong), was great. I hate car salesmen by default, but this guy was nice..not pushy..and knowledgeable. The sales manager, Patriece (again..sorry), was really friendly. So we drive both cars home and find out there are a few things not right with the cars that we didn't spot during the test drives. I was very worried.. So why the five stars?? They took in my Civic and repaired the rotors..just a minor issue. For my wife, however, they sent a tow truck, gave her a courtesy car for the week and told her to not worry about the gas. I think she told me that the salesguy drove her to and from home for something :) The sales manager made us feel at ease and was so kind to us. Like I said, we are still waiting for the Tribute, but I trust these guys. Everyone we dealt with at this dealership was top notch!! Front desk girl..very nice and not stuck up; Finance guy (Robert?)..not pushy, and really great to talk too..as was the Insurance guy; The Service people especially the head mechanic super friendly; Younjin and Patriece Awesome! I am really happy with my experience here regardless of a few hiccups. The way they handled the situation was fantastic. read more

Sales department = great customer service Service department = bad service I will never take my car in for service here again! I leased my car from Lougheed Acura so I decided to take it back to the same branch for service. Took my car in for a routine B1 service when it was only 1 year old. When I called to schedule my appointment, the lady on the phone was not very polite. She spoke to me as if I was a 5 year old and kept stressing that I needed to make sure I returned my car on time. I told her 3 times I was coming from work so I would make it on time. After the service, my bill came up to be about $300. I called in the next day to inquire why it was so expensive and the employee from the service department was not helpful at all. She could not explain what work was done on the car and basically said I should take my business elsewhere which I did. Just took my car in for its 2nd service. I had an amazing experience at Burrard Acura. Don't come here! Go to Burrard Acura instead! read more

Very pricey and I found them to be a bit uppity. I went in to get a replacement key and electronic alarm fob and did not feel all that valued. The replacement key only works if you put it in the ignition the right way, whereas the original works both ways. read more

Be careful leasing from this outfit.It starts out okay until after your first 24 months.Once they get there hooks into you they don't let you go.When you try to buy the car out they use every sleazy trick there is to keep you under there control.Run don't walk to the exit.Took me 6 years to get out of there grip.Better to not start in the first place. read more
