    cha cha salad, really tasty
    Christine R.

Almost every Friday I get to treat myself to a lunch from Louies Bistro truck. My office has become a regular Friday stop on their route, I have had the Asian chicken wings, bistro steak, chicken quesadilla, lamb pita and the roasted turkey /w broccoli salad. Just don't ask me which is my favorite, I liked everything I have tried. The price is reasonable, after all you are getting a great lunch for not much more than you would spend at a fast food chain. You can stand there and watch them prepare your meal and chat for a moment with the other people in line, but not for very long, they are pretty quick to get your food to you, piping hot and delicious. The most expensive item on the menu is the duck confit at $12.00. I have heard that the duck is good, just not something I want to eat sitting at my desk. See you at the truck!

Special: Shrimp and sausage creole with scallions, mushrooms, and okra over rice. So good.

Had to increase from 4 stars to 5 stars. I've been back a few times, and I always get the "Special" if one is available. The special frequently changes, and it makes coming back to this truck always a surprise. Most frequently it is a grilled chicken dish with variations on the herbs/spices/sauces and carb accompaniment (I think quinoa is what they had last time). It's been some of the best stuff I've eaten lately. Today I was in for a surprise: they had risotto with a fried egg, diced sausage, garlic, and truffle glaze. Wow. Prep time took a little longer than normal, but it was completely worth it. I think this may be the best food truck in Orlando because of their: 1) Consistent quality of their main items, 2) Speed of preparation, 3) Gracious portion of food for what you pay, and 4) Constant rotation of Specials which are unique gourmet meals. I think more food trucks need to learn from these qualities and emulate them. Louie's Bistro really does seem like a restaurant on wheels rather than a specialized vendor of one type of food. See my original (previous) review for descriptions of more of their specific items.

Found this truck at Tasty Tuesdays a while back. Tried their duck confit sandwich. Very tasty duck that is slow cooked in its own fat is always delicious, top that with a onion jam & some julienne carrots. Its pricer then most of the items they offer but well worth it! They also go to the Combat City outdoors on Saturdays. Here we tried their chicken tacos which were very tasty and delicious. Another dont miss item is their bbq pork sandwich it is one of their favorites.

We are super excited to be using Louies Bistro as our catering service for our wedding next year! Luis has been so extremely helpful, getting me everything my venue required and working patiently with me during the entire process! Our tasting with Luis was absolutely scrumptious! Everything was made fresh, seconds before we got to taste it! He provided superb hospitality on top of the amazing food we sampled. We knew the second we took a bite we didn't need to look any further!!!! We look forward to attending Tasty Tuesdays soon, to sample all of items Louies has to offer! Highly recommend him for catering, and believe his food truck is a must try at any event!

The quesadillas and fries I had at the truck in Feb. 2013.

My review for Louie's Bistro pretty much is an echo of Colleen's, though I'm giving it an extra star since I really liked the food. Like Colleen, I also had the truck's quesadillas and French fries. Both were great! The quesadillas were cooked to perfection and the fries were just as Colleen mentioned ... they had that crispy outer layer, which I really like. It was a pleasant surprise. I'd have to try some more food from this truck in order to give it 5 stars, I think. It definitely has the potential, in my opinion. Just need to make sure at some point in the future. The quesadillas weren't the best I've ever had, but I definitely did eat every last crumb. I believe that they cost $8 (with the fries included). Pretty reasonable. If I remember correctly, most items that the truck serves are at around that price. The truck usually can be found at food truck events, though I haven't really researched its full schedule or heard about it on its own (i.e. not at food truck events). I've seen it at the Winter Park Food Truck Stop and a few other places. When I had the quesadillas, the truck was at the church near the intersection of Rangeline Road and E.E. Williamson in Longwood for the food truck event that takes place on the 3rd Monday of each month.

    Their Sweet plantain brûlée burger.

Their Sweet plantain brûlée burger is the most amazing thing on earth! The burger is juicy, sweet plantain torched to perfection and the cilantro mayo just gives it then perfect balance. Seriously love this place and everything on their menu is just amazing!

    Pork sandwich, delicious!!

I had the shrimp creole and shrimp in puff pastry last weekend. I thought the portions were very small, and the dishes were very spicy.

My bridal party booked with Kelvin for my bachelorette party in Jan 2025 for a special treat to me as the bride. The day before we arrived in Kissimmee for our trip, Kelvin canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. Obviously bummed but we understood that things happen and obviously Kelvin might have had an emergency and could not work our event that we looked forward to. But when he kept posting his work and posting on social media that seemed not the case. We obviously expected a full refund for what we paid for the service after if was canceled. This man dodged calls and texts for weeks until finally paying us back SOME of what was owed to us but now is refusing to give back our deposit. Remind you he canceled on us less than 24 hours before the event. Kelvin now made over 200 dollars on canceling an event. This is wrong and unfair. IF YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED OUT OF YOUR MONEY feel free to book with Kelvin.

Friends, this place is proof that compromise can be beautiful. Sweet meets spicy meets (meats?) savory. Every bite felt like someone dared a pitmaster and a pastry chef to create the ultimate brunch, and somehow they pulled it off. The only drawback? Ventilation. It's stuffy inside. Plan on smelling like a smoky glazed donut the rest of the day. PS. If anyone wants to bring this concept to KC, I'd like to be considered an early investor. Or at the very least, a highly enthusiastic taste tester. Holy hell. Brunch of champions.

Parking wasn't an issue either. As I walked in, I was greeted by who seemed to be the owner and a young woman. Very nice, lovely staff. Everyone was so sweet. My only issue was that they didn't have a good portion of their menu ready and it's mostly because they didn't have the gravy for their dishes. The ones we wanted came with gravy and the staff let us know they were behind on making it. So we pivoted and tried their prime rib smash burger but unfortunately that felt a little disappointing. For the price that it was, you'd think that you'd get a decently portioned burger or some sides with it but it was super tiny. And the bun felt like grocery bread, the type you can get for a home bbq. It was still delicious but rather disappointing at the same time. We ended up having to order a third dish just to feel satisfied and at least it was very good. The bowls are worth it, maybe not the burger but the bowls for sure! I also snagged up a donut and truthfully that is one of the best donuts I've ever had. Another downside to this spot and why I didn't give it a 4 star is because how slow the service was. We watched a whole family get up and leave because it was taking so long, I actually felt bad for the staff and owner. The place has great tasting food, just needs a little shaping up. Maybe someone who can run the kitchen as a head chef. Overall, I still recommend the place but just know that you'll be waiting a while and some things may not be available.
