My sisters birthday is today and because we are senior citizens we decided not to get together this year due to the pandemic. We live 50 miles away so rather than ship a gift we decided to send her a house plant. Searching Yelp for a nursery close to her house Louie's Nursery showed up with good reviews and I now know why. When I called Claire answered the phone. I explained to her the situation and she told me the have a selection of house plants to choose from. She texted me pictures of several plants and pots available. We made our decision, gave her address info, she planted our selection in the pot we choose and delivered it to my sister. This plant made her day. Thank you Claire and Louie's Nursery for providing such excellent customer service. I bought Pretty in Pink Eden Climber last week. I noticed some orange spots on the tree. I as the owner and a staff what that was and if they would be gone by themself. The owner and their staff said it was just because of the weather and the owner also added 'if you dont want, you dont need to buy it'. It was true, it was my decision to decide to buy because I trusted them that the orange spots will go away by itself; however, when I am home, I looked over the internet and found out that it was rose rust, a type of fungus that would kill your roses if untreated so please be careful when buying plants there. read more

Today my wife purchased 8 items from there and one item was triple scanned (she was charged quantity of 3 of one kind of plant when only one was being purchased). The cashier seemed apologetic after this mistake was brought to her attention. After the adjustment/refund was made, my wife checked over the receipt and noticed another mistake as there was a double scanned item (she was charged quantity of 2 of one kind of plant when only one was being purchased), so another refund/adjustment had to be made. When this second mistake was brought to the cashier's attention, she seemed to be irritated and frustrated that a second refund had to be made to reconcile the situation. The owner seemed irritated as well!! These were entirely the cashier's mistakes. The owner did not apologize for these overcharges, providing the impression she does not care about her customers. I've never been here before this was my first visit. I drove from Lakewood ca up to Louie's nursery. It took us 65 minutes to reach this nursery. I was in search for a Wurtz littlecado dwarf avocado tree. They had plenty of varieties of avocado trees. They have many varieties of succulents and many varieties of flowering plants too. I also got a butterfly hibiscus too. They take care of their plants because they all are thriving and blossoming well. I also got two bags of soil -one was palm citrus and the other was planting mix. So about 100 bucks on this visit this time. read more

I purchased two Chinese Flame trees in May 2023. They were delivered to my residence and planted by the company that Louie's recommended. One of the trees didn't do well while the other is growing just fine. In September 2023, I had an arborist take a look at the struggling tree and he confirmed that it was in decline. I called Louie's and verbally relayed the arborist's report which included the most likely cause of the tree's decline. Louie's stated they would replace the tree and did so within a few days. Their decision to offer me the replacement tree was a pleasant surprise because the 90-day warrantee expired in early August! Excellent assortment of plants. We redid our entire backyard 1/4 acres with plants from Louis Nursery in Riverside. Their customer service was exceptional. They helped us choose the type of plants we were looking for. We have dogs and didn't want anything that would be toxic. They were so patient and we were quite please with the plants we chose. We hired them to also deliver and plant each one. They did a fabulous job and to this day (5 yrs or more later) they are thriving beautifully! read more

Well looks like this is just another lie just to make them-self look good. Also left message for someone name Sondra on 5/20/21, no call back. It's not A LOT of money, it just a shame to have a tree that's "useless" to me and I don't have a "waste land" to plant it. and I don't the heart to re-sell it to neighbors knowing it's NOT going to bear fruit here in Riverside. I use to give this nursery a lot of my business time and money. I have over a 2 acre garden constantly working and growing new things, Louie's use to be my place to go. The owner sadly is rude and really doesn't give a shit about her patron customers. She would not allow me to exchange trees that have died within a months time. She also did not want to honor my utility bill for a free tree which comes in once a year. I am not exaggerating when I say I have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars at Louie's nursery over the years. They truly do not care about their patron customers.... I had THE MOST INCREDIBLE experience with Louies I am compelled to write an outstanding Yelp review. I spent 2 hours yesterday calling over 20 local SoCal nurseries in search of the perfect Dwarf Carolina Cherry Laurel Prunus (Caroliniana 'Compacta'). We have an established row of trees in our backyard lining our pool and one of them got diseased and died, so we have a big hole. It's no small feat finding the perfect size tree, for the perfect price, WITH delivery and installation. I wanted to check all the boxes, and was finding options, which were either the wrong strain of Carolina Cherry Laurel, or options that were far from me (2.5 hour drive). The only one I found was a 2.5 hour drive one-way (and a U-Haul truck rental) to pick it up. NOT IDEAL!! I had called Stephanie from Louie's Nursery yesterday and she said she'd check and get back to me. I thought...I'll probably have to follow-up myself or she'd forget. NO! Stephanie did NOT forget me :) She texted me photos of the tree this morning and sent me two options....The first was PERFECT!! The same size as our established trees, and in addition, she said they could deliver to our home AND plant it for us!! I was blown away. I winced as I asked the price.....(drumroll please)......It was MUCH LESS than I anticipated. VERY REASONABLE!!! The tree was less expensive (and in many cases, MUCH less expensive) than the competitors options, AND she offered me a very reasonable delivery cost and planting cost. I was OVER THE MOON with joy - this put a huge smile on my face. I was also super-grateful for Stephanie's amazing customer service and follow-through. I've bought lots of plants here over the years. Their selection is great. Two star rating though for the absolute non existent customer service. Staff out in the plants literally tens and walks away from you. We are trying to buy several trees, bushes, and other plants but I left empty handed out of frustration of being totally ignored. I was invited to a friend's birthday party and decided that as a gift I wanted to get him a plant a potted plant. This place is a nice size Nursery with a really great assortment of plants. They were indoor plants, outdoor plants, fruit trees, herbs, vegetable, you name it. I was able to find a plant that I liked called a Thailand peperomia and picked out a nice pot and the lady was nice enough to say she would repot it for me with soil. It was a decent price and I want to go back and pick up a plant or two for myself when I get a chance. read more

BEST nursery ever! We were looking for a black tulip magnolia tree. After driving to Orange County (from Corona) to a nursery that said they had them in stock but didn't, we called another half dozen places in the Corona/Riverside area without success, until Louie's. They had the tree in both 5 and 7 gallon sizes (half dozen in each.) Many were already showing blossoms. They have a large variety of trees, shrubs, flowers, etc. They also have pots, yard art, and pottery, including Talavera. We also bought a rose called "oranges and lemons" that I'd never come across before. Staff were friendly, approachable, and helpful. Louie's is our new go-to nursery. read more

They have the largest variety of fruits and citrus trees. It's amazing to see all the familiar flowers, bushes, and shrubs you can actually purchase to plant in your garden. This is a really great place when looking for soil amendments. It's got all the tools and fertilizer you need as well as additives to bring down or rise the ph in your soil. This place also has amazing avocado trees! I found some with fruit as well however as far as veggies there's really not that many options. I love gardening veggies and fruit and they seem to have more flowers and succulents than veggies and fruit. Other than that it's a really great place for gardeners with experience on their belts. read more

disappointed, I called in advance to see if they had specific plant in stock. They answered and informed me that they did in fact have it. Once I arrived I asked the where my plant was.. They had no idea nor did they try to help me out. They finally told me that they placed a order that day to insure my order would arrive on time so I drive 40 miles for nothing.. a couple of days later they call me and say "your order is here!" so I drove 40 miles there to find out they ordered the WRONG plant. They work in a nursery yet they don't know that there are hundreds of different species of plants. I will not come here again. Go to a place where they are educated. read more

I have trouble supporting and respecting a business that has on multiple occasions harassed their employees in front of me. This last time will be my final visit if they don't learn to respect their employees. While I was being rung up a manager and an employee seemed to have some miscommunication about a price, which lead to the manager verbally abused the employee, calling them stupid infront of me. Unprofessional, indecent, and lacking basic human empathy. I can only imagine what goes on behind closed door if this is how management behaves in front of customers??? The unprofessionalism and impatience is unpleasant to witness and terrible way to "teach" employees. read more

Buyer beware. A gave this nursery a "1" star because they sold me a Dwarf Mandarin Tango tree with Asian Citrus Psyllid! The tree had a yellow tag on it from CDFA. I did not see this tag and I did not notice the tree was infected. I feel that the nursery school have pointed out what I was buying. This is a horrible bug that is destroying California citrus trees and this nursery needs to be much more accountable for not selling plants that are contaminated. I'm going to contact the CDFA to let them know. Also they are selling mango trees in 15 gallon buckets when the tree should really have been planted in a 5 gallon bucket. The whole tree trunk which was 1/2 inch thick was very loose in the soil and difficult to transplant because the roots hadn't formed yet. I had not looked at the price of tree til after the bill was rung up. I believe a concerned seller would double check to make sure I know the cost of the tree is $379.99. And this price would have been ok if the mango tree in the bucket had substantial roots, which it didn't. If you go, be sure to check prices carefully and most of all look if the plant is carrying tiny insects that could make your tree sick as well as your other trees. read more
