The staff is really friendly and you could tell they were trained to go out of their way to make people feel welcome. My son had hurt his knee in his back to back basketball games, still in his jersey, and was limping around. They have a unique pricing structure where you pay for the size of your pizza and you can put as many toppings on as you would like. We ordered extra to take home to the rest of the kids. I'm a fan of thin crust pizza and this is a thicker crust. We are from out of state visiting family. We pretty much guessed on what pizza place to go to using YELP. I walked in to pick up our food and loved the ambiance it was like the old pizza place I went as a kid to include a cool old school,arcade. We ordered the pizza, calzone, salad and BBQ wings. Service was great the owners were there and took care of us well. Pizza was not the best I have ever had but was good nonetheless. The salad had lots of stuff in it the only complaint there is the lettuce was pretty much brown on the edges and some pieces were slimy my guess it was cut earlier in the day. The wings were hot and good. My personal,preference was less sauce but I think I'm in the minority with that one. Give this place a try you won't be disappointed it was worth the money. read more

We have a love hate relationship with this place. Their pizzas are very good, but take out takes FOREVERRRR! Even if they tell you 45 minutes add an extra 15-20 to your wait time inside. If you choose to sit inside, warning: Friday and Saturday nights are crazy here. It's small with limited seating, thanks to the gaming room connected to the pizzeria. My husband and I picked up a mobile order on behalf of a couple of our friends. The shop is nestled in a little strip mall with a pretty complicated parking lot in Layton. I walked in to grab the order and I knew it had already been paid for over the phone, so I wasn't expecting the person to hand the pizza to me to say, "let me ring you up." I had to let them know it should have been paid for and then the cashier confirmed with the person that it had been paid for. "Glad you said something or I would have charged you twice!" I laughed awkwardly as I left. There should be a better system in place to inform other employees if the food has been paid for in order to avoid a double payment. When we finally sat down to eat the pepperoni and bacon ranch pizza, we all determined that it was just okay pizza. We were appreciative of the many slices it came with, but there wasn't anything amazing to drive home about the pizza. read more

We tried to visit Louies for lunch earlier in the week, only to discover that they are only open Thursdays through Saturdays from 3-9pm. Well, I'll tell you, they were worth the wait. We called in our order a little after they'd opened and this was lunch/dinner for us. We got a large pizza ($13.99), half piggy pie and half meathead, a half order of breadsticks ($1.99), and cheese bread ($4.99). They quoted us a 35-40 min wait. When we arrived, our order was ready and it looked great. I was absolutely starving as it was late in the day and I couldn't wait to dig in. With the split pizza we got, we were able to try their garlic white sauce base and the marinara base. The creaminess of the white sauce was an interesting combination with the mound of cheese on top of the piggy pie and the pineapples. I was used to a thin layer of white sauce on white pizzas but this was so good. The sweetness of the pineapple and the brown sugar bacon offset the base very well. On the other half of the pizza was ham, bacon, sausage, and pepperoni. What's not to love about that combination of meat! The crust was crisp on the outside, chewy on the inside, and seasoned! And that cheese pull...! The love fest continued with the ooey gooey cheese bread with garlic butter which had an incredible amount of mozzarella cheese stuffed inside what looked almost like a divided calzone. The bread sticks were good as well but I was all about that cheese. We were impressed by Louies. The pizza was very well-made and I appreciated that they allowed the pizza to be split with two different specialty combinations. I'm a bread lover and this meal was bread on bread on bread and I absolutely loved it! Their prices are great and the staff was very pleasant. read more

Was traveling in the area and wanted to give a new pizza place a try. Found this place and saw it had good ratings, so gave it a try. Wanted to try something different, so went for the Hawaiian (not something I order often, but enjoy on occasion). It was absolutely delicious! Lots of Canadian bacon and no shortage of pineapple. Crust was perfect...not sure if it's a garlic rub on it, but it was very flavorful. If I had one complaint, and it would be very picky of me, it was that some of the Canadian bacon edges were a little crisp from cooking, but that did not deter my enjoyment of the pizza. Without a doubt, the best pizza in the Layton area potentially Davis County potentially the world. Our household has declared Friday night pizza night, which is essentially just an excuse for us to order Louies pizza. Every single time it's phenomenal. I've eaten Louies fresh, cold, air-fryer reheated, microwave reheated, and room temperature (because it was sitting out all night), and i have ALWAYS been impressed. What has turned us into Louies Pizzeria fanatics, is the endless customization of excellent ingredients. Everything that they touch is fresh, high quality ingredients. You can add and subtract ingredients to your hearts delight and they don't charge you an insane price for it! They dough is always perfectly seasoned, and they don't skimp on the fixins, (i would even recommend going "light" on the toppings because they load em up so good). You might say, this is one of the longest and most passionate reviews, surely there has to be some strings being pulled behind the scenes, but i guarantee that this place needs no such influence. Found this on a Yelp recommendation. The pictures looked beautiful.. I tried to order online, but I got kicked off 2 times.. I called my order in and 30 mins later it was ready to go. The pizza is AWESOME!!! Cheesy, plenty of toppings and the sauce has great spices. We got the XL Hawaiian and XL Meaty.. The breadsticks were hard as a rock, so we trashed them., the cauliflower parm flowers.. were ok but I liked them. They sell a jumbo which would fill your entire dinner table. Maybe next time. We also ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza. It was tasty but excessively greasy as well. There was plenty of bacon but it was had to detect any ranch flavor.
