We've had the chairs for 10 years, but the are good quality (Room & Board) and lightly used. I initially planned on having arm covers made, and was still able to get the fabric from R&B. I can't express enough how great was the service I received. I had six dining room chairs that needed to be reupholstered. Louis picked up the chairs at my apartment. He was ontime, thoughtful, and very careful with the chairs. The price to have the work done was much less than that quoted by a shop recommended by a decorator. The job was completed within a few weeks. The workmanship was impeccable. A week after I received the chairs, a guest damaged the fabric on one. Louis picked up the chair. I love my couch but the cushions were getting too soft. I called Louis Custom Upholstery for a quote and timeframe. They called me back later that morning. They gave me a price and 3 day turn around. I brought the cushions to them and mentioned an irregular spot in the fabric (very noticeable so I could only use one side) on the off chance Louis would have a solution. In less than 48 hours the cushions were finished. When I got them home I remembered to look for the irregularity and it was gone! The cushions are super firm (just like when I bought the couch) and I couldn't be happier. On a side note, the estimate was more than I had anticipated (I did not get a 2nd estimate so I have no comparison) but relatively inexpensive when I consider buying a replacement for something I already love.
