I had came in at 9:10pm on a Saturday according to the gardens state plaza website they are open until 9:30. All the employees were standing inside in a group just talking and would not open the door. I tried to explain that I came in to just pick up an order. What a difference a year makes. I took in a vintage bag I inherited from my grandmother to be repaired, since I had such a positive experience last time. The advisor asked if I had any paperwork on the bag. In the times I've come in for a repair inquiry, I've never been asked for proof of purchase, and well, my grandmother is dead; I can't exactly ask her if she saved the receipt from years ago. The advisor admitted that he wasn't sure what the bag was because he hadn't worked there very long, despite me telling him the name of the bag. He consulted with another advisor, who encouraged him to use google image. After he confirmed the bag was in fact what I told him, he fumbled around inside the bag looking for the date stamp. The other advisor had already alerted him that the date stamp was a little trickier to find in the older bags. He left me to go consult with the other advisor. After a few minutes, he came back, saying he couldn't find the date stamp. Given that he hadn't even taken another look at the bag, this was perplexing. What's more frustrating is that as soon as I got home, a simple google search informed me exactly where to look for the stamp- stamped on the interior seam of the internal pocket. Granted, it was a bit challenging to find and I had to use a flashlight, but it was there in my bag the entire time. The way he admitted that they could not find the date stamp led me to think he thought my bag was a replica, which is incredibly insulting. Then, he shared that because they couldn't find the date stamp, they would have to send the bag away to authenticate it. He informed me that the strap could cost anywhere from $295-$500. Given that my last two repairs were complimentary, this surprised me and I asked if the repair policy had changed. He responded that no, it hadn't changed in the last three years. I asked if only hardware was complimentary then, and he said, no hardware is a service fee too. I'm not sure if he was misinformed or lying at that point, as my last two repairs were hardware repairs to zippers for bags and I paid $0 for both of them. I left the store shortly after that. I really had a pleasant experience purchasing items here this past week. Thanks to Roxanne for making the process of deciding upon, and purchasing a bag, so wonderful and seamless. She was such a friendly and kind associate - just a breath of fresh air! She didn't rush us even though we walked in maybe 40 minutes before their closing time. Each associate we came into contact with when Roxanne was in back packaging my items seemed pleasant- and asked if we were okay or needed help. The store is beautiful and I definitely plan to return! Hello everyone, I had a very troubling experience at this LV store. I had ordered a $3K+ bag for my wife as a present and went to pick it up at this store since they were the only store in my area that took deliveries. I walked in and the manager took my name and asked me to sit down and they will have a rep bring out the bag. A rep comes out and shows me the bag and it looks like it had been in the washing machine 100 times. All beat up and out of shape, to the point I thought they had brought be the wrong bag. I told the rep this is not the bag I ordered and he says to me "must be the lighting". At this point I was pretty irritated, and then the manager quickly grabbed a new bag and brought it over. Basically I realized they were trying to sell me a used bag for over $3K. I took the new bag and quickly left the store but these people were trying to scam me and that is not acceptable. I will never go back to this store again or have anything to do with them. Very low life LV store and they should be embarrassed to have these people working there. I came here twice in a span of a week. And the first time, I came to return an item. Once I said I didn't want to exchange the item, the employee didn't look me in the eye again. Got my money back right away and left. I came back a few days later to purchase a wallet and nobody came up to me. A security guard had to ask somebody to come to me after about 10 mins of waiting. This time, the employee (I can't remember her name :( ) was very patient with me as I asked to look at what felt like 15 wallets. This is the first time I am writing a review for LV at Yelp because I was so impressed with the service here. I went to LV to look for mom's birthday and Mother's Day gift and went to the LV store at the Garden State Plaza on 05/18/24. From the moment my family and I walked in we were greeted by salesperson Nicholas Sarria (Nick). He is the person you should request. Nick is extremely nice, knowledgeable, and does everything to help you. Nick is very friendly and attentive. If you are looking for a five-star experience, ask for Nick. He goes the extra mile for you. We came here looking for a handbag and he found it. We will always remember him because our experience was THAT memorable. Right away we kicked it off, I wanted to purchase a handbag for mom and Nick assisted me every way he could and answered all my questions. He was also funny and humorous, made my family shopping experience a memorable one. Not once did we feel rushed, and a sale forced upon us. Nick makes our visit extremely pleasant. Nick -who then essentially picked up the "five-star service" baton and assisted us with everything that we needed. Over the next hour, Nick enthusiastically showed us several handbags. His patience and eagerness were apparent, and it seemed like he truly loved LV and working here. Nick patiently brought us bag after bag, modeled them for us, the golden chain for the bag, and customized the adjustable strap since my mom likes to wear the bags crossbody. In the end, he helped us find the perfect bag. When we have questions, Nick would give us recommendations without being pushy. While shopping, Nick always makes us feel comfortable by offering something to drink like sparkling water or champagne. When I was debating between two bags, Nick there was very patient while we made our decision and gave his honest opinion. We were planning to get one handbag for mom, but after this remarkable shopping experience, we ended up buying two bags, one Twist MM handbag and the second one, the Lock and Walk bag. Nick gives attention to all details as we received the bags all gift wrapped. Overall, a great experience with friendly service. That is how customer service should be always! Before I get into the review I would like to mention that I traveled 2 hours for this bag .I started out at the Hackensack store where the people are amazing in my experience. The Hackensack store only had one bag of the version I wanted available that had a flaw on the vachetta. I didn't feel comfortable ordering from the website due to a bad experience before so I decided to go over to the Paramus store due to them having more stock of the bag I wanted. The SA I had at the Paramus's LV informed me that the SA Jenny from Hackensack called to have them put the bag I wanted aside for me which is really nice ! Although the SA at the Paramus mall was quite snobby .I went with my boyfriend thankfully and he's very supportive of me and my expectations of these high end bags. I always look over the bag before I buy and if I see something I don't particularly like I ask to see another .The SA made it seem like I was nuts for doing this , acting as if she knew more about the product , as if I wasn't wearing the bag in a different print and size on me. If I'm spending the money I have every right to look over the bag . She's selling, I'm buying . She talked down to me saying all their bags are handmade and will have flaws if I wanted machine made there's other brands .She said this after me mentioning that I understand they all have their quirks but I still look over them regardless. When I would decline a bag with a flaw and ask to see another she would say "let me see if I can find another bag up to YOUR standards'" as if I wasn't spending 2k like you should. It's your JOB .Maybe she was just having a bad day or jealous regardless - no one should be treated like that in a luxurious environment . Or ever for that matter . The unpleasant SA was tall with brown/dirty blonde hair , she wore a facemask .On my receipt it shows the cashier ID as :AA1D & my CA as :RJ07 .Didn't catch her name. I was more focused on getting my beautiful bag and going on a date with my boyfriend . At the end she almost forgot the perfume samples I asked for .There was a nice woman that greeted me when I left but overall I felt as though the whole store needed better employees as they didn't seem very welcoming or friendly . Upon arriving home I noticed my bag didn't fit in the dust bag that came with it. I contacted LV and spoke to a manager named Bianca about it and they told me the store which I got the bag from would be contacted & would reach out to me. As you can imagine they never did .I ended up ordering a nice satin non- branded dust bag that's even nicer than the LV one to store my bag in. This location is "okay" but faaaar better than the Hackensack Riverside Square location. I usually come in to browse items or do an in store pickup. I always dress like a bum on purpose because they should be treating all customers the same. Unfortunately, the worse you look, the more they look down on you. Although I've never made an actual purchase from him, Jay is the BEST. He treats everyone fairly, with respect and takes time to go over items with you without getting annoyed. I've also worked with Nick, and he was also very kind and respectful. I should have written this review a few years ago when this happened, but better late than never. I walked into the LV at Garden State Plaza for the first time (I usually shop at Riverside Square Mall LV--much nicer and professional Sales Associates at that location) looking to purchase the Galliera GM. I had the unfortunate luck of being "helped" by the little korean/japanese woman that other reviewers on here have also complained about. She had a very uppity attitude and treated me as if I were lost and didn't belong in the store. I am embarrassed to even admit that I have LV/Chanel bags worth more than her annual salary. I told her that I wanted to purchase the Galliera GM. She stopped in her tracks and looked confused like she didn't understand what I just said. Then I repeated myself a few more times and then she responded, "Oh! You mean the 'Gaaaaaahhhhhhliera." She spent many a seconds emphasizing the "gaaaaaaahhhh" part in an attempt to show me that I pronounced it the unfrench and therefore, wrong way. I responded, "Whatever." You are there to serve me, the client/customer. I am there to spend my money (about $2000). Don't treat me like you are doing me a favor. There are PLENTY of LV boutiques with pleasant sales associates who are happy to help. It is a shame that with the advent of social media and internet marketing, LV hasn't heeded the reviews/complaints of their customers and pulled that little ratched woman from the sales floor and put her on bathroom duties because her attitude is just plain sh*tty. I walked right out of that store and then headed to my home-base LV at Riverside Square mall where I purchased my Galliera GM as I planned. I have not set foot into the GSP LV since that incident several years ago until this past weekend. Partly because I was tired of the rude customer service and partly because I was over LV and buying Chanel. I digress. I was hoping that woman would have been fired or disappeared by now but unfortunately for me, she's still there and very much alive. Louie V has been in the Plaza for years and I'm the first to review it? Perhaps the rich do not have a soft spot for yelp? Too bad. The store focuses on purses and shoes. Purses for women and shoes for both sexes. I was hoping to find a pair of dress shoes to pair with a newly purchased tuxedo. Unfortunately, Louis Vuitton does not carry shoes with wide widths. I tried driving shoes and loafers and had no luck. I have a high arch so finding quality shoes are a challenge for me. It's a shame though, because they carry so many beautiful pairs for men. So my mother goes in, picks it up, and then proceeds to order another bag- for me this time. When she got home, she realized that the box they gave her was too small. She calls again and you would think the manager was chopping down the trees and processing the damn cardboard herself the way she talked to my mother! In the end, my mom got what she wanted, but she did NOT need to be treated that way by that miserable manager. He walked through all the features the bag had, was great at answering the thousand additional questions asked. My first Louis Vuitton experience and it was a great one. My associate, Brian was nothing short of amazing and I am so sad to hear that he will be moving on to a Chicago location. I genuinely wanted him to witness the growth of my LV collection. As a woman of color I have heard horrible stories on how 'we' are treated when going into a Luxury store . The moment I walked in , I felt welcomed by Brian. Even though I thought I would need some convincing, as soon as I saw the bag I knew I had to have it. He was extremely knowledgeable and knew where every single item I inquired about was in the store. He was able to walk me through items at different price points, during our interaction I never felt like he was trying to 'upsell' me or try to bait me into spending more. My first in store purchase was done at this location and honestly I was so picky and undecided after hearing the item I initially wanted was discontinued. I really wanted to get another piece similar to the item i had picked and luckily for me I had the best advisor who worked really hard in finding the right item for me. To provide background before jumping into my experience, about two months ago I purchased my first Louis Vuitton item, a piece of fine jewelry. When I purchased the bracelet, the staff was very helpful, and provided a lot of details regarding how to care for the item, and they seemed very knowledgeable about their products in general. About a week ago, my bracelet unexpectedly broke which surprised me given Louis is such a luxurious brand. Normally, this would turn me away from the brand, but the way they handled the situation went above my expectations. Upon entering the store to ask if they could possibly exchange the bracelet, they immediately greeted us and asked if we wanted water. Although we were put on a "wait list," the staff was very considerate, and proceeded to explain they were a bit short staffed. Once an associate got to us, we explained the situation, and she felt really bad, and went to her manager. Much to our surprise, they agreed to accommodate us. One of the factors that pushed me towards rating the store "5 stars" was the fact that the associates didn't try to rip us off, and in fact had our best interests in mind when explaining prices and the qualities of their products. All in all, I plan on continuing to count on the store for wonderful service, and I will definitely go back to purchase more items! read more

I was purchasing a gift for my mother and I gotta say my experience at the Louis Vuitton was slow at first but got better and better. My wife and I first went to the LV in Short Hills and it was very underwhelming. We gave a price point that we were looking for, and they kept showing us bags over budget. We then decided to go to the Paramus LV and it was a success. Jay did an amazing job helping us out find the right product. We told him our budget and he stuck to it. We felt no pressure into buying. I came in wearing shabby workout clothes, so that's probably why nobody tried to entertain ne. Was gonna buy a bag but when I went in, everyone was busy. I tried to approach one salesperson but he acted like he didn't see me. Yes, he was entertaining other customers but a simple greeting would've sufficed! Everyone was chatting with customers and I wanted to see a bag but nobody even said Hello or any greeting, no eye contact, Nothing. Like I never existed. Took my business to Neiman Marcus instead and got a Balenciaga! Louis Vuitton bags are really nice but some of the people they hire need to be taught on how to be nice to customers!
