With one desk and one customer service rep available, if one customer of unusual demands comes along, you must wait and wait and wait until this idiot (customer) is done with his transactions. I am speaking about Mr. EBay who sells deer scent bait during or before hunting season. He sends all envelopes via return receipt or some other special service. Instead of the PO employee stating that she could do 25 envelopes now and the balance by the end of the business day, somehow the PO continues to process envelope by envelope while a line grows in size and diminishes in patience. If you see this good looking camouflaged dressed person entering the Bunn PO with a bundle of small envelopes, trip him before he gets in front of you. Neither common sense is exercised here or courtesy. However, if survival of the fittest prevails, grab one of his envelopes and pour the deer scent on him.

The Wake Forest Post Office still leaves a lot to be desired. But my service has improved somewhat…read more I get the majority of mail expected now, that is, if there is a decent carrier working that day. If there isn't, the carrier might deliver your mail to someone else's mailbox, as they don't check if they are going in the correct order. The postmaster responded that my carrier wasn't working that day. Well, who delivered the mail to the wrong mailboxes???? It didn't magically happen; a postal employee did that. So why not correct the problem with the employee who keeps making this mistake every week? They still get paid whether they perform the job correctly or not, so work ethic seems lacking.

The lobby area (outside the retail space restricted to 9-5 hours) is gross and doesn't feel that safe walking in all alone. The one working table top (very small) is always dirty, sticky, and this time even left grime all over the envelope I was not mailing, but briefly set down . The self-serve kiosk NEVER seems to work properly and usually has an out of order sign posted. I thought it might work today- and felt a bit lucky that the typical "Out of Order" sign was not up...but wrong...the scale did not work. I have also been here, within the last couple months, when the PO shut down earlier than expected (at 4:30). I understand staffing issues are real, but at least get the self-service station working properly, and create a decent, well lit, safe place for people to handle their postage needs, please. The dirty table top/working area is a small thing, but it all adds up and does not reflect well on the Town of Wake Forest. Like most people, I love it here- and I just wish our physical Post Office and the equipment -could be a better reflection of what Wake Forest is and the people that live here.

It's hard to believe they get that much drop off mail. I suspect the box has not been emptied in days. The paper told me they tried to deliver, but was not home. I was standing at my door waiting for her. I complained directly to the manager of the post office. I believe no action on the mail carrier. Mail delivery is becoming risky when they take off with an important document, then lie, and this carrier came back with my document, and had a bad attitude towards me. She even told me she could not deliver because her mother's doctor called her! I then told her I was sorry to hear that. Then I told her my mother had passed away, and I had documents from my mother's attorney. I also told her that the documents were for her estate, and her lawyer needed ( from NY) for my signature so he could move forward. There was also a certified check in that envelope with a very very large amount of money. They hire very very lazy people. I would vote USPS for no longer being funded with taxpayers monies. In a heart beat. We've been victims of identity theft and mail fraud by a neighbor across the street. It took my husband almost a year to go through the entire web page to file correctly. Then the state authorities too. We hired a state known handwriting specialist to confirm who did it. Yes. We reported it to the local post office. We learned it was a dirty active duty cop, our neighbor across the street. The federal and state governments completely ignored and disregarded the crime committed against us! We have time and time again, gone to youngsville nc 27596 post office directly, and told them to please never leave packages on top of our mailbox. Never! And to please deliver the mail properly and legally. To no avail It seems like they hire people they know or just any warm body. Can someone please put in a computer that we have a thiefacross the street, and by rights, we legally deserve to have our mail delivery. Today, our home security system picked up the mail carrier, not bringing us anything, but used our yard to turn around. It is insane. Thank you, Lynne Friday Youngsville, NC 27596.

I like that you can mail USPS, UPS and FedEx, so if you have multiple items, you can bring them to one location. One side of the building is a gift shop with some unique gifts. If you are looking for a location to ship items or need other services, this is the place to go.

For those of us who are Amazonites, if you time it right, free packaging and shipping with tracking receipt provided @ your local office store that starts with an "S" is kind of unbeatable, but as more folks discover it, the lines are getting longer and harder to time. We've used Ship On Site for personal shipping overseas, national work shipping that requires high efficiency and speed, and yes - Amazon returns. It's conveniently located right off Capital on Wake Union Church Rd, with access that enables easy off-and-on Capital Blvd via easy-access and egress through the strip center with Big Lots and an Ace Hardware to which it is adjacent. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and it has a connected gift shop that has super cool unique cards and related items. Check it out, definitely worth your time. Will add a few pics later this week to top this review off.

Honestly, I had no idea what a USPS CPU was until earlier today when I was looking for a location…read morecloser to my digs in Cary that WASN'T the turrrrible location on Wrenn. As it turns out, a CPU is a Contract Postal Unit which carries its own set of requirements, one of which (and perhaps the most important) is that they cannot charge any more than a "regular" USPS location. Onwards: Location: 4 out of 5 About a 7 minute drive from my place. This CPU is located inside the Mobil Gas station (Radha Mart II) at the corner of Davis and Old Jenks. Incidentally, there are some restaurants (Chippy and the coffee place) as well as gas in close proximity in case you want to make an afternoon of it. Free parking dedicated for Mobil station customers awaits! Services offered: 4.5 out of 5 Commensurate with a full service postal office, except for maybe passport services. Notably, they have the counter where you can pick your Priority Mail boxes, envelopes, padded envelopes, etc. for both domestic and international mailing. Customer Service: 4 out of 5 Instead of being manned by Postal Service employees, the employees of the Mobile gas station are the ones that assist with your mailing needs. There was a newer guy who looked like he had just been hired at the station who was still learning the ropes of processing my padded envelope, so I'll give him a pass. The guy who I suspect is the owner/manager was of humorous and almost prototypical Indian subcontinent descent. Helped me to pick out a smaller padded envelope than I initially thought I might need (thereby saving me money), and when he saw me struggling with putting my item in, he took it from me and proceeded to do it himself, delegating me to more menial tasks like filling out the address form. Ha! This sort of brusque but efficient customer service may be offputting to some, but in a way, if you pretend like you don't know what you're doing, you basically get full service help for free. ;) Value: 5 out of 5 The postal service still offers the most reasonable rates if things aren't entirely time critical. Whereas my product would have cost 7$ via UPS ground to arrive mid week next week, the same product cost 7.05 to be shipped PM to arrive by Monday. Overall: 4 out of 5 I didn't have to wait in line, the guy was friendly and helpful, and I was in and out in about 3 minutes after I figured out where the supplies were (look to your left when you enter the store). Also - pickup for mail and packages occurs between 5:30 and 5:45 which isn't that bad.
