Since the pants were on sale, I went ahead and bought them knowing I could easily get them tailored. I brought 3 pairs of pants to the shop on Friday. Due to extra safety measures in place, the shop had extra partitions and the employees wore face shields while doing the fitting. You pay for the service at that point. The price was reasonable. I picked up the pants on Tuesday and was beyond impressed. You can't even tell they have been tailored. I will definitely bring items here if I need tailoring again in the future.

I finally found her shop on a Monday and nervously brought in my outfit. She was very patient and kind with me. My romper was a Lilly Pulitzer- which means nothing to some. For that brand it is all about the print placement. I went from maxi to tea length- but saved all the fabric for another project. We talked about her maybe making a bow tie or headband!! When I picked up my outfit Wednesday it was ready to go - I dropped off a pants suit to be hemmed and picked that up Finished on Friday!!! The store is a kinda cluttered because there's so much in it, but I'll take some clutter over fewer items. Sewing notions are getting harder & harder to find, so it's great when I can find what I need without ordering online & hoping I pick the right color. My one star deduction is because they only carry 100% cotton quilting fabric. I know it's the popular option, but a poly/cotton blend will last much longer.

Since I was out of town, I told her I would pick it up on April 18. I get there on April 18, and the skirt is not only not ready, it's not even there. She had outsourced it to be done elsewhere. I then had to pay $4.95 more than the $14 I had been quoted. The owner said she'd have the skirt dropped off, which she did. I just tried on the skirt, and it's not even the length it was supposed to be. I will never go back to this place. I might have given them a two-star rating had they apologized, but they offered ZERO apologies for the inconvenience and price discrepancy.
