One of the coolest elements is the British cannonball still lodged in the original exterior. I had seen a man the night before go over and pull off a shingle and wondered what he was doing, but he put it right back. I got the big reveal on my tour and that is definitely something you don't see every day. What a fascinating history this whole place has. As the descendant of one of the town's founders, I will forever treasure knowing that generations of my family had stood within the walls of that building, since it served as the post office and tavern. The upstairs area with the lifting room dividers was so cool--never seen anything like it. Also gaining insight into how different generations traveled was fascinating.

Love the incorporation of different perspectives of Ramapo, African Americans and women.  John was the best tour guide ever! He was animated and made us appreciate the history more with his story telling and props. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Kudos! Highly recommend this Museum and tour. Thought provoking and made me curious, which is what one hopes for in a museum. Make reservations for the tour online, as they are small capacity. Garden is pretty and used for weddings. Kids will find it interesting.

Each show has been great! Of course I have my favorites. But essentially you're getting to see Broadway shows in Ridgefield. They have a snack bar where you can get soda and alcoholic beverages. And also munchies. I however use the time to chat with my friends. So after you pass the snack bar, you can enter the theater. The seats are wonderful. Close enough to the stage that you can see everything at once. There is intermission halfway through. Most of us either visit the restrooms or get more refreshments. Once it's over, it's a quick exit to the parking lot. If you chat for more than 15 minutes afterwards, you'll be alone in the parking lot, lol We have season tickets each year. This means we book our seats early. Give them a try, you'll be glad you did.

A lot of drinks you can purchase, I had a local beer from nod hill on tap and it was great. The sound system was clear and just right I could hear every line. The only problem was the play itself very boring, the video highlights were the best part and very well done. There just wasn't any story at all, fortunately only 80 minutes so I got thru it. Would certainly return for a different play.

My daughter just had her wedding at Le Chateau. To say it was a beautiful, impeccable…read more wedding is an understatement. We've received rave reviews from our guests saying everything from it was the most elegant wedding to praising the food and service. The venue and staff was way beyond our expectations. Having worked in the wedding business most of my life I've been to hundreds of weddings. My father was a wedding photographer and I was a wedding planner at a venue. In all that time I cannot remember having such a perfect experience. Sarah, Claudia, Debbie, Tori and there staff were the loveliest people I've ever worked with. The food was like going to a 5 star restaurant. When we visited the venue I thought it was very pretty but lit up at night it was exquisite. Dreams do come true.

The food was impressive especially the appetizers and desserts. The bathroom was spotless and the venue was perfectly decorated for the holidays. More than anything, the staff was incredibly attentive, not just to the bride and groom, but to the guests. At the end of the reception, my friends and I couldn't get an Uber or a cab to go back to the hotel. The staff was genuinely concerned and helpful. We finally found an uber to come to pick us up but it was more than anything hour, staff were so kind and patient. Really impressive.
