More important--when the vendor (in a food establishment) is TOLD of a food allergy, there is an obligation... to the health and welfare of the customer. I'm in town for a special event. I'm on my Yelp trying verify whether or not they served breakfast when, behold the (owner?) came up and offered to help. I asked her, and she said no--no breakfast. But lunch and dinner is available. Questions ensued--as is wont when I have owners captive. I asked about her wares, she bragged that right now they're offering grilled peaches. I bring up my food allergies and she assured me accommodations are simple. The rest of that day and the next, as I'm traipsing in and out of establishments all over Eureka (and at the special event I'd be attending) all learned of my 'peach hamburger' plans I had to grad my order and head to my event. They have an area where they sit out 4 different kinds of coffee (including their house blend and a decaf) that is called their endless cup. Once seated, you can walk over and serve yourself (sweeteners and creamer are there as well) so no need to wait if you need some coffee! I think it was just 65 cents. I also ordered one of their special seasonal iced coffees as well. My boyfriend got a seasonal match drink. All of them including their signature blend of coffee are delicious! The food was awesome. We got the spicy cheese grits loaded with eggs, veggies, and bacon. A huge platter! A berry stuffed pancake and a biscuit as well. Everything was scrumptious! The espresso was just okay, but my iced sugar-free caramel latte was downright awful--overly sweet, overloaded with milk, and completely lacking any coffee flavor. It was so unbalanced that I couldn't finish it.
