We recently hired Love Home Renovations for a series of projects in our 3rd-floor condo in Playa del Rey, CA, and they absolutely delivered. The scope included a full guest bathroom remodel (excluding the shower), master bathroom paint and flooring with a new tile shower, bedroom popcorn ceiling skim coating, paint, water heater replacement, new vanity and mirror, plus all associated electrical work. The entire project was completed in about two months and stayed right on schedule, which was impressive given the number of different areas and trades involved in a condo building. He made a point of stopping by every week to personally inspect the progress, which gave us great peace of mind. Started off strong but ended up a nightmare filled with many many excuses. The kitchen and garage is beautiful if you look at the big picture but once you start looking closer, everything was off. To keep a long story short, they make up a lot of excuses for the many errors they make. They try to gaslight you into thinking they are doing you a favor by fixing their own mistakes. They try to blame the errors on you or it "previously" being there. They claim they will work with you but when their works returned, they literally were huffing and puffing out loud about having to fix their work. I have all texts and evidence and will be filing to a contractor state license board complaint and having a second opinion on the work done. Jonathan did what I thought might be impossible. I live in San Diego, and he managed the full renovation of my family's 1940s Los Angeles home ... a house that had been virtually ruined by a previous contractor, with serious structural, electrical, and plumbing problems, most of which hadn't been touched in 80 years. The project scared off both another contractor and a property manager entirely, but Jonathan took it on with confidence and integrity, working with me remotely the whole time. Jonathan and his team at Love Home Renovations did an incredible job with our condo remodel. Timeline and budget are two critical aspects of choosing a contractor, and Love Home Renovations delivered on both fronts. The remodel was on time, on budget, and exceeded our expectations. A+! Our remodel included removing all the carpet and replacing it with engineered hardwood, a complete gut and remodel of the kitchen, ceiling painting, and some clean-up work around our fireplace. Love Home Renovations included the cost of kitchen cabinets in their proposal, which created a huge amount of savings for our project compared to other bids we received. The cabinet color options were more limited, but they had the exact trendy color of green we were hoping for. From 3D render to finished product, everything was perfect. Jonathan was easy to work with, communicative, and was willing to lend his designer's eye to a task when we needed help with a decision. Our condo had special HOA requirements and Jonathan had no problem working within the regulations to keep us from upsetting the HOA board (something you never want to do!). This was our second major project with Jonathan and we're so happy with the results.
