So after what I thought was a great experience quickly gave way to horrible. I literally came here to have my AC looked at. Temps were in high 80's and low 90's with high humidity. I NEEDED to make sure my AC was working for my very long drive back to Maine. I left the dealership with the AC working great however the next day within 30 minutes of being on the road for my 8 hour drive, the AC died!!!! Ugh! What a nightmare!! All windows open to get some type of air flow. By the time we got to North Carolina my dog was suffering from the heat so badly he scratched up my dashboard trying to get out a window! Buyer beware at this dealership. Love Honda try's to sell you warranties on your new car whether you want them or not. They rush you through the finance process hoping you won't notice the additional warranties on the contract that you probably don't need. We saw these additional charges when we got home and reviewed the loan contract. These additional warranties cost so much extra that increased our loan thousands of dollars. There is a 60 day cancellation window which we took advantage of to reduce our loan. However the refund is applied to your loan principal and does not lower your monthly payment. The finance manager and the dealership manager both tried to talk us out of canceling the warranties. I researched how much the dealership gets for each warranty they sell and in some cases it's 50%. read more

I want you to know, I am NOT a disgruntled customer. I never had a change to be a customer. I inquired about a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 with almost 200,000 miles on the website for $15,365. A woman called me from "internet sales" and I told her that I would probably not be able to do it. A "manager" was listening on speaker phone and said, "I thank you for your service, come in and we will make a deal. I have to sell so many cars, and I am not going to lose a sale over price". So, my fiancé and I rush to Homosassa to "work on the deal". When we arrived, the truck is not there. After almost 45 minutes the truck pulls up. A salesperson named Jarrod Williams steps out with the car fax and other information. The truck smells heavily of smoke that smelled as if someone just finished their last cigarette of the last 12 years and traded it in. Jerrod Williams informed me there was nothing he could do about it. Then talked down to us like, "either by the vehicle or not" attitude. They ran my credit to inform me they do NOT finance vehicles over 10 years. But wait, there is more! MSRP was $18,365 With a $3,000 savings. Yay? "Red Alert" - $499.00 (This is for the brake light to flash twice when you stop). Jerrod says, "Your insurance company gives you a discount for having it". Progressive and State Farm will laugh at you when you mention that and let you know, that's a scam to get more money. Jerrod informed me that he will have to charge me to remove it only AFTER I purchase the vehicle. "Reconditioning Fee" of $2,817.94. This is for them having to do the "inspections upon taking it in". Yes, they pass this onto the customer, as Jerrod will tell you, EVERY Dealership down the line of the highway will do this. Now - I am a disabled veteran, so I sat down and my Social Worker at the VA and we both made calls to 5 dealerships in the area. Guess what? They bite the cost for their decision to do a trade in. It was never the customer's responsibility to make up that cost. Their dealer fee is $899 Their government fees totaled $749. I have a Disabled Veteran Tag so, it does not cost anything to move to another vehicle. So, the total amount for a 2014 with almost 200,000 miles came to a grand total of $21,612 they wanted in CASH. I made an offer of $16,000. They countered $17,500. Wait, why??? They took the truck in on a trade higher than they should have. Which means, the cost of their choices gets put on the customer. Their finance staff member looking like Colin Farrel out of The Gentleman, brown plaid skintight suit, came to try to push the issue, sale, and explain why they have to saddle me with their choices as a dealership. I caved and decided to open a loan through my bank for the amount. I am going through back surgery next month. This was on 2/28 (Saturday). They called Monday to verify some things with me to pass the loan. Right after their "internet sales rep" called and asked if I still wanted to buy. I told him I was going through a loan process because I did not want to empty my saving on that truck. Plus, the smoke is a reason for a dealership to give you less money on a trade in but not take money off the sale because of it. He told me before I committed, they would work on the smell. I digress, they said, "Let me see what I can do" to go through them if my loan was going to take a while. He calls back 20 minutes later, to tell me with $5000 down, they would finance the $12,500. Around 3pm my bank calls saying they denied BOTH loans. It is now a fraud issue. I did not know, WITHOUT my permission, they opened up a loan through the bank! Same one I go through! Wouldn't you know it, when you call, they are suddenly "not available, stepped out, or just hang up on you during the hold music. Well, guess who called Wednesday (3/4). Mr. Jerrod Williams. He likes to talk down to you when you call him out on fees, red flags, and other discrepancies. I might have gotten hit on the head in the years in the Marine Corps, but I am a state accountant and management professional before I had to stop for surgeries. I asked him a simple question, "Who was the Internet sales representative that opened the second loan, without my permission and knowledge. I need them to speak with the bank to have him explain why there was a second. Jarrod Williams was so helpful to say, "We are a family owned and operated business, there was no fraud, I am sorry the sale did not workout". And he blocked me. So they have me leave and come back next week, today. But it's a Honda dealership so shouldn't they have the parts? And it's only an alignment right? So he continues with, we have a loaner car for you. Oh yeah? That would've been great 2 1/2 hours ago. But He called me 15 minutes before my appointment to say one was available. Now I've waited 2 1/2 hours. He should've assured me the day before that a loaner was available and I wouldn't have to find my own rides 45 minutes there in 45 minutes back. Because I already made plans to have a ride . Anyway. "What are the parts that you need? Because you said you would have it done 2 1/2 hours ago at this time 130 in the afternoon. " Oh he says it's a very big job we we have a car for you. Then takes us out to the garage to show us shocks and the underside of my car and this and that. it's like a mini tour of the underside of my car. It's like the same thing he was doing the first day I showed up is waving his hands around and talking effusively. But really saying nothing. So I ask Jim, did you put the shims in that you said you needed last week to see if it worked for aligning the wheels? No I didn't, he says. Well if you didn't put the shims in to find out if you needed more parts, how do you know it's a very big job? because you didn't attempt to do the repair at all. No one has done anything with my car for 2 1/2 hours. But then he's not going to charge me so he says. But he needs more parts which means money. I don't know if he has any clue what's going on. At this point, he changes his story and tells they are shortstaffed. So he lied and tried to convince me there was something dramatically wrong with my car. Well, I told him, you should've said that. I'd rather hear that you're shortstaffed and not this is a really big job and I need more parts. The service manager there is incapable of doing his job with any efficiency whatsoever. The general manager Vic seems completely indifferent in general. And I haven't called the owner of the dealership yet, and likely not going to because I just don't care anymore. Nor do I wanna hear any more excuses, mansplaining, or reasons why they are either deliberately wasting peoples time or fleecing people or doing repairs that are unnecessary. I will take my car somewhere else where I won't get a runaround, I won't have someone gaslighting me I won't have someone lying about what my car needs and I will actually have someone look at the car instead of wasting my time. I have purchased over 20 vehicles in my lifetime. This is a very dishonest dealership. The website had a MSRP price of $47500.00, with a $1000 discount for college and military discoun. I spoke with Craig and told him I was looking at their Honda Civic Type R. He said "it's $47500 plus a dealership up charge of $5000.00". I told him, I would buy it today but would only pay no more than the vehicles MSRP price. He jumped at that and said "I'll remove the upcharge fee". I told him I would take it. I have dozens of complaints about Love Honda. Let's stick to one for now. It's the R.E.D. Alert add-on. They showed me what it does, flashes the third brake light when you stop. They didn't tell me that I was paying an extra $400 and it was already installed on my 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid I was purchasing. I complained a while later and they said, "$400?. That's a bargain. We're charging $600 now." What is R.E.D. Alert. It's Rear End Detection Alert and it blinks the third stoplight at the back of the rear window when you step on the brake. There was no deduction on my auto insurance for this item, BTW. The pictures below show my Honda, the R.E.D. Alert product price on eBay ($9.95), and the item installed on my Honda Accord for a cost of $399. Had to get a lot of maintenance done, because all the maintenance minder codes were popping up on a trip back to Florida. My gas gauge would only go halfway up so I had to get that checked out as well. Still waiting two hours later, they don't have loaners but they are nice and I'm confident it will be done right. I took off for an hour to eat with friends, and then came back to fall asleep in the waiting room. The free tea and coffee machine perked me right up. People are socially distancing, most have masks on. Car is running right now. The only thing is, I think they could've ran it through the car wash because it ended up coming out reeking of gas and I didn't notice till I got on the road how bad it really was. So I just went home with the windows open. Update: it is now a few days later, the gas smell has dissipated a lot. All in all a good experience. My car search unfortunately brought me here. Been looking at use CRVs and Rav4s and eventually extended my search out to here. By the time I visited, I'd sat with about 8 other dealerships and salesmen and knew the drill. They'd start with the list price, with my trade, tax, tag, dealer fees, etc. it'd always end up costing a bit higher than the price online. Oh, but not here. The first quote I got was somewhere in the neighborhood of $5-$7,000 higher than the online price. I was dumbfounded. They had to walk me through their $2999 dealer fee (more than triple anywhere else I was quoted - average was under $1K), they had some stupid high priced fee for installed dumb flashing break lights, something I've never heard of and discussing with tons of places, no one wants, and then there was their lowball offer for my trade in. It was less than half of what others offered and what I later sold it for. Of course this was a first offer, so I tried to negotiate. They came back with $500 less. At this point it seemed all just a joke. They wouldn't budge, and they were so far out of line with any other Central Florida dealership, we just left. There was a $5K+ gap that wasn't narrowing. Have been going to Love Honda in Homosassa for service for the past few years....no problem at all....5 stars. Purchased a 2025 Honda Pilot Sport on March 28, 2025. Josh was our salesman and was very polite and professional. Part way through the presentation, Sean, the General Sales Manager entered the picture and took over the negotiations for the deal. We were lowballed on our trade, but eventually agreed to a trade in value. I explained that I wanted no "add ons" to the vehicle and was told that was not a problem, they would work with us. The signing of paperwork was at lightning speed and when I asked about reading all the paperwork I was told we would get a flash drive that we could print out when we got home....Shame on me for not insisting to read the contract while sitting there. After returning home and printing out the paperwork we found we were charged for "red alert" ($499.00) and an additional 2 years of service ($299.00). We were given a copy of the extended service paperwork with a clause that stated we could cancel if not used within 60 days. I returned to the dealership a few days later and was met by Justin Snyder, sales manager who stated that I never paid for the extended service, which is clearly shown as a charged item on the purchase agreement. To date, (May 15, 2025) I have not received a phone call, email or text from the dealership inquiring about my satisfaction with the vehicle. I even went so far as to write a letter to Mr. Chad Halleen expression my frustration with being blown off by Justin Snyder. My parents recently decided to upgrade their car and visited Love Honda in Florida for a 2024 CRV Hybrid. Trusting Honda's reputation, they expected fair assistance but were disappointed. Their trade-in received an unfair valuation, and the 2024 CRV Sport Hybrid they purchased came with a $7000 markup from Love Honda's advertised website price. The salespeople employed deceptive fees and flashy brake lights, which I find absurd. Lacking assistance from an experienced individual, my parents aged 80 and 83, were exploited. In contrast, I own a 2024 CRV Hybrid Sport - L, purchased for $39,900 plus tax, and if I wanted to upgrade to the Hybrid Sport Touring, it would be $ 42,000 with everything on it. In comparison, my parents paid $43,000 for their base Hybrid sport, plus tax. fees. After researching reviews, I found this is a widespread issue at dealerships like Love Honda in Florida, with some unabashedly practicing it. Service department, still have the warranty coverage of 36000. They attempt to write you up as non- warranty to get you to pay them money for their services. After around and around with the write up and reviewing my vehicle back calibers we're found to have failed and locked up and caused damage to my rear brake pads on new 21 Type r. They informed me only the replacement of the failed calibers will be covered but the $364.90 labor charges and parts to replace the blown brake pads will not be covered on the bumper to bumper 36000 mile warranty, but the failed calibers will be. You would think the labor charges of $262.95 for the brake pad replacements in under the warranty .... Nope Love Honda needed their side money in the deal. They gave me customer honda number and told me good luck. Vehicle is 2021 Type R. Garbage customer service at Love Honda. If you have other options, go elsewhere. read more

My mother, Sandra S, received a flyer in the mail regarding her Honda vehicle. She asked me if I would go with her and my aunt to your dealership to see what her current car was worth. She had invited my aunt and me because she saw that you were offering a complimentary free lunch and thought that would be a reason to check on her car, shop for a 2023 vehicle and enjoy some food. Mind you, my mom is 80 years old, so outings are not a common thing. When we arrived at your dealership, we were greeted by a lovely young salesperson who was professional and quite pleasant to speak with. While she was chatting with my mom, my aunt and I looked at vehicles and then went to find the complimentary lunch that your flyer clearly states was available. Of course, there was ABSOLUTELY nothing! Not a drink, not a donut, not even some coffee. Well, both my mom and aunt were quite disappointed. However, we continued looking at cars. My mom was not impressed with the new vehicles. She did not like the screen that was no longer flush with the dashboard. After expressing her feelings about the new Hondas, your sales manager, Sean, arrived to talk with us. He was professional. However, when we asked about the free lunch that your flyer clearly states, he had nothing but excuses. I didn't care that there was pizza yesterday. I didn't care that the restaurants he had tried did not want to help. I didn't care that he tried all that he could. Truth be said, he did NOT do all that he could. I expressed that this whole thing was appalling. That your flyer was false advertising and that he lost three potential customers because he was not willing to do anything to remedy the situation. I understand that things can occur, but there are also many solutions to show "what LOVE can do for you." This isn't really about the lunch, but the lack of principles that your dealership clearly doesn't have. As a family-run dealership, I would think that you all would care about potential customers walking out the door unhappy and disappointed. At first the staff was wonderful. My air conditioner was making a loud noise and Jim was kind enough to clean it out. Unfortunately they did not clean out the drain. My car started molding inside. When I realized it was the air conditioner I called and they cleaned it out but said they needed it over night so they could detail it and clean out the water and mold. That was on Thursday the 7th. I had ordered parts for my doors and rear blower weeks before and Rob asked if I could wait till after the weekend and he would call me on Monday to set things up. He never called. I had to call him on Wednesday. The appointment was set for Monday morning. I was told that they needed it for 1 day so that it could dry overnight and I could pick it up in the morning. He never called. I called him at 10am. He stated that they needed a couple more hours for the detailing to finish. I showed up at 2pm. It still wasn't done that they needed another hour. When my car was brought out nothing was done to the interior. In fact they sprayed something and the rugs were soaked. The detailing was at no charge because it was their fault for not cleaning out the drain. The mold was so bad that I lost a back seat. Before I even saw my car Rob kept saying that he gave me a break on the labor and rushed me to pay. As I was trying to read my bill after paying I noticed that I was charged for the air conditioner parts that I told him I was not going to do at this time. Rob tried to tell me that he didn't realize that I was charged but if he refunded the money he was going to change the labor and not give me the discount. He did return my money finally. Not one word about the detailing that was not done. Everyone in that building knew that there was a major problem. Not one manager came to ask what the problem was or if it could be fixed. They obviously do not care that their employees out right lie to their customers. It's been 3 days and still nothing. read more
