On Saturday, I scheduled a test drive of a truck they had for Sunday right when they opened. I had advised her that I was driving from two hours away and that if it sold Saturday before they closed, for someone to call, text or email me, as I would be on the road before they opened Sunday. Arrived Sunday on time, to see a sold sticker on the truck. No call text or email. No professionalism or courtesy. When I went in and complained about that fact, the salesman just blew me off. Emailed the GM later in the day, no response whatsoever. Like a lot of terrible dealers, they will lie to you about availability just to try and get you on the lot to sell you something else. Not a huge deal if you just down the street, but this cost me a tank of gas and almost an entire Sunday. Would not recommend if you expect any kind of honesty or professionalism. Brought my 430i in for an oil change advertised for about $100. Was told I needed a complete inspection, or the warranty would be voided. I proceeded with the $300 inspection. They found nothing, except that they recommended four new tires for $1,200 (tires were worn, but had about 5K more miles in them). Later, I learned that my warranty would not be voided if I did not pay for the inspection, and that this was a lie. Of course, I declined the tires and would never spend another dime at BMW of Ocala. Within the past few months we've purchased a few new vehicles from them. Received good treatment, not the best but good. My wives vehicle required a good detail after she got back from a long road trip. An appointment was made and we were told she would get a loaner during the time of detail. We thought it was going to be during the day but they wanted it overnight. Reluctantly we said ok. They ended up having the vehicle for 2 days and delivered it to our house. To be honest it looked like. $15 car wash. Old bug marks, water spots, door jams not cleaned, windows streaked, we paid $212 for this. Very unhappy with them. read more

The engine light came on my 2016 BMW 535i and my local mechanic informed me that it was a fuel sensor that needed replacement however, sadly it was a dealer only repair. I took my car to BMW of Ocala and Robert Czaplicki was my service rep. I was informed that my gas tank needed to replaced at a cost of $5,000. Keep in mind, my car only had 32K miles driven. Luckily, I have a car warranty policy which said this would be covered so I connected Robert with the warranty company. BMW of Ocala kept my car almost 2 weeks without offering a rental. The warranty company communicated to Robert what test was required to substantiate the replacement of the gas tank. BMW kept sending the same test results which was not what the warranty company requested. I spoke with warranty company and BMW of Ocala almost daily and felt that I was caught in the middle. The warranty company simply wanted proof that a new tank was the solution to the problem in an effort to avoid just throwing parts at the problem with no justification; especially a tank that cost $5K! After several back and forth conversations, I spoke with Robb Cole the service manager who told me that BMW of Ocala is unable to perform the test needed to justify the replacement of the gas tank and indicated they could manually turn off the engine light because otherwise, the car is fine. However, Robb suggested that I purchase 4 new tires because the tires I had were "after market" tires however hardly worn, and change the brake fluid and stated that he wanted to earn my business and so I would come back. I agreed to the tires and brake fluid which cost $1,900. 3 weeks later, the engine light comes back on. I reached out to my service rep Robert and explained that the light is back on and I did not want to pay another $179 for a diagnosis for the same thing (assuming it's the engine light - which most likely it is!) He suggested that I contact Robb Cole. I have called Robb Cole 2 times and the kind receptionist told me she sent the last message to him via email as "URGENT" I have not received a call from Robb Cole and honestly feel, that unless I am going to drop thousands in repairs and service, he is not good for his word in wanting me as a loyal customer. I have been patient however, the lack of response and professionalism shows their true colors. I am taking my BMW to another dealership who assured me that if they are unable to provide the documentation needed for warranty repairs, they will not charge me a penny! BMW of Ocala has lost my confidence and business. read more

I bought a 2016 CPO car with 30,000 miles on it It has been the biggest mistake of my life. I have owned a Mercedes and other Audis and never had issues like this BMW has caused. At 100,000 miles my car needed a motor mount costing $2,000. and another $500.00 in services. It's has needed to be reprogrammed twice in 6 months. Now at 110,000 miles they are telling me both struts, wheel barrings and a trailing arm are worn out. Total for these items is ovet $5500. Plus the Ac is now intermittent and needs a new compressor for a cost of 5200. In the last 6 months with a 5 year old car they will need over 13,000 on repairs. I will never buy another BMW as long as I live. What a joke of a QUALITY automobile BMW should be ashamed of the product they put out and sell to anyone assuming they have a quality product guess agsin.. read more

Made an appointment to bring my BMW in for an oil change, appointment time 9:30am, waited 3 1/2 hours, then received an estimated for numerous other things they wanted to "fix", when declined, I have always kept up with all maintencance required so this estimate for fixes was a huge surprise. Because I declined to other "fixes" and only felt comfortable with the oil change, I was told they could not reset the vehicle oil change indicator because I was not having other "fixes" performed. I have always kept up on all mantaince and have never been told by a dealer that they could not reset the vehicle for an oil change. Makes me think the oil change was never done. The service department is so slow. Routine maintenance, oil change, etc is 4+ hours. No loaner cars available and was never offered any ride anywhere but the mall. I overheard many other customers being picked up by a BMW driver to be taken home as far as The Villages. Other car dealership service departments always offered a ride to/from dealership or would even pick up car and drop it off. Everyone is nice but my time is worth more. My BMW X3 broke down on the way to a wedding, I had a 5 hour drive ahead of me. My battery died and my light switch was broken, at 5pm I arrived at this dealership after getting my car towed there. I came in on short notice and they closed at 6pm. The service staff was more than helpful and understanding to the problem I was facing and was able to help me identify the problem with my car and come to a solution. While traveling from Tallahassee to Boca Raton for a work conference, I experience a loud "pop" in my car just south of Gainesville. I immediately pull off the interstate thinking tire blow-out but upon inspection all the tires appear in proper working order. Looking under the car, everything is clear. The on-board monitoring system shows no alerts so I pull back onto the interstate and continue towards Boca Raton. Although there are no warning lights/alerts, the car is unusually loud. I stop for gas in Ocala and decide I better have someone look at the car. Searching on my phone "Ocala BMW" I find the gas station is .3 miles away from the Ocala BMW dealership - what a lucky gas stop! BMW Ocala is open so I pull into the service lane. The reason I am writing this email is because of what happens next or better - who happens next - Robert Czaplicki. Mr Czaplicki immediately comes to the rescue! After a brief chat about the car and the urgent need to get to Boca Raton, Mr. Czaplicki jumps into action. My car is in the service bay and within 30 minutes the car problem is diagnosed. My car needs a major part replacement (something to do with the car air flow system) requiring a lengthy repair. Knowing I am in a time crunch, Mr Czaplicki improvises with a few minor adjustments and gets me safely back on the road in time to make the meeting in Boca Raton. Mr Czaplicki displays what is hard to find these days - a real professional with interest not only in the car but also my personal situation. The service department might easily say "sorry" we cannot fix it today but instead go above and beyond expectations making my car safe to drive and all within a brief 30 minute window. Apparently BMW of Ocala did not get the proper paperwork to properly register my car with Florida. I have been dealing with BMW of Ocala and their staff since 10/13/14 and still cannot renew my registration. It will be expiring in approximately 9 days and I still can't do anything. I spoke with the state and it is all on the dealer side. I am sure they were happy to sell a car but not ensuring the proper paperwork is in order is absolutely unacceptable. If my registration was not due, I am sure they would not have made an effort to try to assist me in this matter. After years of the worst service imaginable to the point one would feel abused I finally chose to travel to find a better solution for my cars service needs.
