I have three dogs and LULU is their second home! Owner and staff are wonderful and the dogs always come home from daycare totally exhausted. I was so fortunate to bring my dog Apollo to LULU while I was working in the area. I was working some pretty crazy hours and didn't want him to be housebound. He absolutely LOVED going there. I knew if something came up and I was stuck at work late, I just had to call and they would keep him and provide him the best possible care either later or overnight. Over the years I've used many dog daycare and boarding facilities in the country due to my travel for work. LULU is not only the best, but the bonus is that it's the most affordable . He's never let anyone else cut his nails without a fuss willingly over the years, including me - and he'd hold his paw out willingly for them! This is a great doggy day care and boarding place. The people who work there are always pleasant and so good with the dogs. Our dog can get nervous and anxious at times, but she always bounds out of the car with excitement when we pull in, without any hesitation. And overnight boarding is cage free and just as caring. A great place for your dog (s) with people who truly love what they do! I am so thankful to have found this joint. We'll be moving to the Berkshires in July, as we recently bought a B & B, and I had read about how LULU, had wonderful off leash hikes on the "mountains", sorry, we lived in Colorado for 5 yrs, its still hard for me to call the "hills" on the East Coast "mountains." I digress, anyhow, this place is great! I was a bit worried as Trucker hadn't gone to playgroup in a few years after being "humped" at the dog park in NYC, he's not a fan of rape, can't say I blame him! Anyhow, I decided to have him attend a 1/2 day session. I liked that it didn't have to be exactly when the place opened, but simply a 5 hr session. Trucker had a blast, and when he did get a bit too big for his britches, they simply gave him a bit of a time-out, and moved on. Sounds reasonable to me. He had so much fun, that as soon as we brought him back to the Inn, he was "pooped" out for the rest of the afternoon and evening. I can't wait until we move up there for good and he gets to be a part of the pack weekly! I also like that if you board your dog there, someone stays overnight with the dogs nad none are in kennels, so dogs truly feel like they are in a "home" environment getting some quality TLC while we're away! read more

When I was in town last week I ended up at a hotel that I had thought allowed dogs. Instead I find out as I'm in a rush to check in. I didn't know what to do at this point. I asked the staff around if they knew any good places to place my doggy as I really needed to stay. I heard some uneasy things about this place from staff.. one person even told me they thought this place was weeks in on looking for a dog they lost. I took a ride out. With 1 car in the parking lot and waiting inside for 10 minutes before I saw a person I left. Dogs were playing and free but I couldn't find staff! Gave me bad gut feeling. read more

If I could give 10 starts I would. I have a boxer LunaJane. Such a sweet heart but she was so high strung and I didn't know what to do and I was not enjoying my time with her at all( I was so close to saying good-bye...it really was that bad!!!!) A friend mentioned LULU and I decided to try it. They saved us, She started going twice a week and it is just what we needed. After years she began to get cranky and they had no choice but to ask me to stop bringing her, this was for the safety of the other dogs and I respected that. I couldn't be mad because Renee & Paul didn't just give up, they reached out to me and offered to take her on off lead hikes with some other dogs. The picked up & dropped off without interrupting my schedule at work. Luna loved it and it was amazing but unfortunately the transportation broke and hikes were no longer. At this point Luna was getting older so we were OK. I now take my 3 year old boxer Ruben Jay to LULU and he loves it there. They focus on socialization with the utmost safety and I never have to worry about my Ruben. They truly love what they do. This business while some think its a luxury is one of the best things I have done for my dogs. LULU from your dogs perspective is a night out with friends and fun...We deserve this and so do they!!!!! If your worried about their safety...don't. They are always around, watching, playing, interacting and taking lots of fun pictures of your babies. Who doesn't love to see their favorite fur babies become Facebook famous. This is my favorite place for my dogs. They ensure your dogs are well cared for. The operation is such that all the dogs can safely run around and play together. My dogs are always excited to go there and enjoy making new friends. The staff is kind. They knew I was nervous leaving my dogs, and gladly answer my calls when I check on my fur babies. My dogs enjoy it. Whether it's dog daycare or extended stay while we are on vacation I feel about as good as I can while leaving my dogs there. And just to go above and beyond. I scheduled my dog's first daycare on what ended up being Hurricane Sandy. I dropped her off in the morning and they warned me that they might be closing. I didn't have enough time to bring her back home, so I left my number and went to work. I got a call around noon that said they were indeed closing. I told them that I couldn't leave work so they owner took my dog home with her and said that I could pick her up after work! She was so nice about it and my dog appeared to have had a blast. I found Love Us and Leave Us when I moved to the area in 2014. Care for my dogs was my biggest concern, because I travel extensively and am not a proponent of traditional crating. I rescue dogs, and I figure they've had enough of that nonsense. Not only does LULU take extraordinary care of the animals, they help them socialize, give them a pack, and they watch for signs of overwhelm and individual issues. I felt better dropping them here than having someone stay in my home, even when one of my dogs was starting to struggle with age and recovery from an illness. I'm a part-timer in the area now, but whenever I'm here I try to make time for a daycare visit for my now only dog and in the case where I travel overseas and they need extended overnight, I'll drive hours out of my way especially to bring them here. read more

My dog has been going to LULU weekly as well as extended stays while we travel for 8 years. Their care and my trust in them is at the highest level. Unlike other overnight facilities- they have staff there 24/7! My dog's personality, his physical health and his life have been much better for it. I couldn't image being a pet parent without LULU! Besides a tired dog being a well behaved dog....my dog is well rounded, physically fit, emotionally loved and safer for his time and experience at LULU. The first time that I brought our great pyrenees here was a few months ago and I was very happy with his visit. My mother is in assisted living in Lenox and I needed to spend a night with her to help with her needs. I drove 3 hours to Lenox and arrived at about 4 pm. I picked up our dog at about 11:30 am and was charged for one day, $40. This last visit, last night and today was different. I dropped him off at about 4:30 pm, it is a long drive up there. I picked him up at 1 pm and was charged $60. He was filthy. There was no rain, no mud, the soil was dry but his fur was dirty and smelly. I don't know what is behind that fence but it isn't clean. I now need to get him clean, another expense. I think this could be a very good business but they have to be more flexible and get that place cleaner. It is a small place and needs extra attention for cleanliness and flexibility. I have been looking around for a dog daycare, and have been asking close friends for recommendations, and I am very disappointed in what I have heard about Love Us and Leave us. My friend told me that they have an abundance of dogs at a time with one or two staff on at a time. My friends dog came home with injuries on them without being notified. I don't know how a business with so many dogs can run smoothly with that many dogs to staff. I would never want to send my animal to a place and not be notified if something happened. read more

Even though my dog was up to date, he still got very sick. My vet has stated that he has heard nothing but bad things about this business. I can't say enough about Renee and the staff at LULU. Each and every one of them is fantastic! Not only does Nicco (my boy) come home completely exhausted, but LULU has also helped him grow to be a very even-tempered and social dog to ALL dogs - big, small, sweet or grouchy. He loves them all. They all play with and show our dogs love all day long while we are at work. I especially love the fact that when Nicco's Dad and I go away overnight and leave him at LULU, he gets to sleep with his buddies on beds/couches/chairs just like he does at home, and he even gets a human to sleep with.
