The library itself is nice but every time I have been there there have been very loud people throughout all areas, sometimes even screaming. People speak on speaker phone and play music loudly without earphones. This is not the fault of the library but the staff does not support with it at all or stop it. Definitely do not come if you need quiet or need to focus, if you need to do something where quiet doesn't matter then it is a fine place. read more

Great spot, great selection of books! Well, at least inside the library. Lots of comments about unhoused and drug use, but I personally didn't see any of that. The library gave me "historical" vibes match the city. Took the kids here for a few hours and mostly explored the comic book section. They have a ton of events. Staff was nice. Not the biggest highlight of Loveland but worth checking out once if you're in the area. read more

This library is a jewel in Loveland. They offer great books, wonderful programs, online services, teen outreach and children's programs. Our kids used the library after school, weekends - all the time. It provides a safe place for kids to learn, explore and socialize. I am so grateful to our local library, and the people who have worked there over the years. What a shame the city is cutting services to the best things in Loveland. read more

This library is one of the most unique buildings, its very artistic and easy going. The staff actually take the time to talk to you and help your personally. You dont get professionals at fort collins or greeley library. Even with the cut hours I can go in and be greeted by name and received in depth help with book questions or computer tech help.​​ read more

Loveland Public Library is not always the most inclusive. Over the past couple of months (including this past Thursday 8/14), there has been groups that bring disabled adults into the community that have been asked to leave the children's section of the library because of "legislation". However, none of the groups have been obnoxious, disrespectful, loud, or any other reason that would have been valid to have asked those groups to leave. After some research I have found that there is no new legislation stating that disabled adults cannot be in the children's section of the library. From the Loveland Public Library's page under the non discrimination policy it states, "The City of Loveland, Colorado ("the City") is committed to assuring full compliance, and is prohibited by law from violating, all civil rights provisions of federal statutes and related authorities that prohibit discrimination in programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance. These laws include but are not limited to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 ("Title VI"), the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 (P.L. 100.259), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act (the "Fair Housing Act"), and the Age Discrimination Act of 1972. Beautiful park and water area with EV chargers but once you enter into the library you are welcomed by security who patrols but they only walk around to look not to stop anyone from passing drugs, playing music, fighting on phones and snoring because they aren't there to parent anyone just offer a safe space for the local degenerates who spend all day wasting away at this here lax local library. They had some really awesome teachers and navigators in groups/events but you do have to endure the disrespect of people who know how to be nice and gas light any situation they are confronted with. Nice library right next to a beautiful park. I usually put a hold on my books on the website so that I can just go in and pick them up without having to search for them. If a book isn't available at this library, they'll ship it from another local one. I love being able to just pick them up and walk over to the park to spend the day reading by the fountain. read more

Our family (2 adults and 4 kids, bibliophiles all) recently moved from a suburb of Chicago which is known for having one of the best libraries in the country. While the Loveland library is not as large, it honestly has not felt like a downgrade at all. I thought we would end up making the drive up to the 3 Fort Collins libraries at least occasionally, but we never do. The space is cozy and they can get any material you may need. Librarians are helpful and kind, and the summer reading program for kids is great. Most impressive is the technology lab/ maker space. Green screens and 3D printers and state of the art camera equipment available to the public; they teach classes for kids on the tech as well. We love our library. read more

First library I've ever been in that allows people to play music over speakers and homeless people to sleep in the reading areas.

The library itself is wonderful. However the e-books system is not wonderful! I have used Denver e-books system for many years. I moved to Loveland and would like to use my kindle for reading. Well I don't think so , I am very disappointed to say the least!!!!!! read more

I have to upgrade the place to four stars. Now this library has an awesome computer lab and you don't have to fight or wait hardly ever to get an open terminal here unlike the library branches where I live. I live in Fort Collins. They don't have complimentary headphones. You get to pick from two different kinds for two dollars a piece. On average you get an hour on a computer but it will extend it if no one is waiting to about 35 minutes. read more

I recommend Lovelanders use Harmony Library (Fort Collins) which has a better collection and charge only ten cents/day in fines for overdue books. The Loveland Public Library advertised that they were hosting a series of lectures by a local chiropractor. When I contacted the library several times, they would not return calls so that I could even discuss the matter of the library promoting dubious health care information to the public. read more

Best library I've been to has all the new books a giant teen and children section and quiet

The recent, beautiful remodeling that has been done here is about all that the Loveland Public Library has going for it. This is especially true because they seem to be paying for it through their ridiculous late fees. Don't get me wrong, when I bring books in late, I have no problem paying because it was my fault. I also like to support the library system as best I can. I do mind, however, paying an arm and a leg for books that are only 1-2 days late. 20 cents a day for the dozen or more toddler books I check out for my daughters (we read A LOT) is simply ridiculous. I appreciate all the work that has gone into upgrading the library in the way that it has been, but I did not ask for it, and I certainly do not want to pay for it. I don't use all the "extras" anyway... So, I would rather bring my business to a library that is not interested in taking me for all I have. Fort Collins, for example, is also remodeling, but they have maintained the customary 10 cents a day late fees. Berthoud, although small, is by far the most AMAZING library I have ever used. I've heard that they've done away with late fees completely (haven't been there in a while), and if they haven't, well, they would always work with me when I didn't have the cash on hand. Most importantly, they would make me feel sincerely welcomed rather than as a scornful, walking debt. read more
