It's a touch more expensive than other places in morehead, especially if you get designs or something special, but the techs are talented and know what they're doing. My last couple of experiences have sucked horribly. Everytime I get my nails done I always try and make small talk with the techs--ask them how their days are going and if they've been busy, etc. Most techs actually enjoy this and try to keep the conversation going! But here, they did not with me. My skin is naturally dry and the first tech kept asking me to go put their lotion on because the roughness of my hands was bothering her. I did it TWICE and she asked me to go a third time and finally I explained to her that lotion, in my case, does not help me...I mean clearly. Once she finally stopped asking me and finished my nails, I could hear her talking to her next client about how "gross" my hands were while I was paying out. This infuriated me. I decided not to go back for a while and a friend finally convinced me to give them another shot so I did. This time, a different tech, looked at my hands and refused to do them. No, I wasn't bleeding, my hands weren't dirty, it was nothing like that. They were just RUDE. In my mind, if I'm paying you for something that's already pricier than most places, you better treat me like an actual human being. Overall, I wouldn't recommend going here. I really enjoy going to LA nails or city nails instead.

We signed in, 4 or us, about 10:30am on a Saturday and saw only 2 people working and 3 people in line ahead of us. They told us it'd only be 30 minutes. 11am comes around and they had not made any progress. We saw this was hopeless, but we asked how much longer and they said another 30 minutes. The gal was not friendly, nor was she at all concerned that they were grossly understaffed. By this time there were 6 women in line behind us. At this point we bailed, went and bought our own nail polish and decided it was not going to be worth the wait.

So she kept pushing anyways then grinds the acrylic down real thin saying the last salon did them wrong. Well my wife likes them slightly thicker because they last! She never breaks a nail! Now that they are very thin they will be broken in a week. My wife told her she's been getting her nails done close to 30 years and this is how she likes them. She didn't care. 2nd they cut her as you can see in the photos. Not one I'm sorry or anything. 3rd the woman next to my wife had 3 nails replaced and a fill in she was charged 45.00 my wife had one nail replaced and a fill in she was charged 55.00. btw a full set in Lexington is 60.00 and they are done to her preference. 4th look at the quality of work! I mean who would want this on your hands to look at? I will never be coming back!! 5th her excuse for charging more was that her nails are too long. It was a fill in. It requires the same amount of product as a short nail. This is a cash only business. It is there a way around to keep from paying sales and income tax. AKA tax evasion.

They did use bags in the pedicure basins, nuts that's about the cleanest thing I saw. I came in with thick, long nails that had regular nail polish on them and instead of removing the nail polish with acetone, she used two different files on my nails, then had the gaul to try to upsell me to get thicker dip because I have thin nails. She took off half of my nail bed and now I'll have to regrow thick nails again. The end product looks great, but I'll make sure to continually wash my hands and feet so that I don't get an infection with the unsanitary tools. Wouldn't recommend!
