I feel like this spot has changed a lot recently. I have been coming to lovely nails since 2017 and I feel as though the Atmosphere has become less focused on quality and professionalism and more about who they can finish first. The staff are on their phones while doing nails (not answering important calls) and then use the same gloves to touch my feet and will walk over to another customer and touch their water basin to turn it on and their feet. (All these motions with the same gloves). Lately they have rude if you come in without an appointment even if it's not busy they still want you to have an appointment but say they accept walk ins. I have been noticing the lack of attention to detail as well. I came to get my dip removed and the lady was watching tv while using the electric nail file to file down my nails and kept missing due to watching the tv screen. I finally told her please look down when you are doing my nails. I really miss this spot being more welcoming and the quality being better and cleaner. I'm hopeful things turn around since this is a local spot.
Came here with a group for a wedding. Everyone was friendly. They let us drink champagne that we brought. Wanted a more neutral color with a hint of dusty rose. Staff was helpful with picking out a color that matched my needs. @stl.foodie
I want to take the time to thank Tina for always providing the best service. Ninety percent of the time when I come in, I want some sort of design! Tina is able to free style any design I have ever shown her and it's PERFECT! She is kind, friendly, and professional and takes pride in her work! I always look forward to my appointments with her!
I love this place. Brian is absolutely incredible. The attention to detail is unmatched. He's done my nails twice here and I will forever and always book appts with him. From what I can tell it's quality across the board with their entire staff!
Jennifer did an amazing job with my pedicure! Andy didn't do too well on my dipped powder nails and put activator all over my nails, and did not keep my cuticles clean, the powder was all over my nails.
The past couple times I have been it's been so rushed that when I get home, I realized spots were missing and without polish and there was nail polish on my skin. I had to go back after a manicure, and they redid a bunch of my fingers at no charge. But I still had to spend 45 minutes of my day getting them redone. Same thing happened with pedicure (see pictures!) but I just don't have the time to go back AGAIN and have them fix everything. I've been in love with this place for years. But I'm going to have to try someplace new after past two experiences (both with different nail techs)
If you can't do designs or french tip, just tell us so we can choose something else rather than leave the salon wanting to cry. I wanted a french tip and a bow on 2 fingers. i left with the chunkiest french tip i've seen, and two red bows that truthfully a 2 year old could've drawn better. I'm so upset because for 1 im embarrassed to even show my hands in a Chipotle and 2 they're $70 so it really was just money down the drain.
I've been going to lovely nails for over a year now. Best nail salon in the entire world. I love everyone who works there, GREAT PEOPLE! The salon is clean, gorgeous, and I always feel comfortable. Amy does my nails/acrylics and John does my pedicures. AMAZING work EVERY SINGLE TIME! I make my appointments in advance to get in with them. I always get compliments on my nails....ALWAYS! Amy can do whatever you ask for and she's extremely creative and my favorite artist. Most of the time I have her pick out the design and she freestyles. I will NEVER go elsewhere. John is the best at pedicures and the sweetest person! I am truly obsessed with Amy and John. They are MY PEOPLE!!! I can't say enough good things about them and constantly refer them to my friends and family. I have seen Lee and Andy for acrylics previously and they both completely rock it!!! Very happy with my nails both times. I feel so welcomed every single time. Linda is the sweetest and always saying hello. Hannah is also always greeting me with a smile. They both have a large client base and do amazing work as well. Lucy has done my friend's pedicure before and she's amazing and so sweet!!! Everyone who works there is great and you will be so happy with your service. Also, can't forget about Johnny! Be sure to call in and book your appointment! He is always quick to answer phones and get you scheduled. He is the best and has a great sense of humor. Again, ALL THE NAIL TECHS are so wonderful and I'm always so happy to be there. I am so upset with my dip manicure I wanted yellow dip with rainbow rhinestones on each finger. Well when I told the tech he said it was too late and he couldn't add the rhinestones and now it looks like I have yellow fungus growing on my nails. The Instagram page was all beautiful nails and honestly the salon did not "speak" to me when I was there. I won't be going back. read more
Long over due for a pedicure and scheduled early morning appointment prior day with ease for 2. Upon arrival we were seated after choosing our nail polish choice and the our pedicure services were promptly started after seating change. Lee handled my pedicure, making sure the water temp was satisfactory and upon giving my massage identified a bump in my chin. I appreciated the attention to my health. read more
I had been searching for the best nail spot and one of my coworkers recommended Lovely Nails. Her nails looked perfect and I knew it was going to be a good recommendation! I have now been going for several months, always seeing Jenny, and she is fantastic! It's usually busy and Jenny's appointments fill up fast so I highly recommend and appointment. Everything is clean and it seems like each nail tech is great at design and understanding your needs. While I don't go with designs, I always have a color or style in mind and they execute so well! It's my favorite spot and I've tried many! read more

Jenny typically does my nails and she is amazing!!!!! This weekend Jenny was out of town so I saw Tina. She did these super adorable pink nails with gold hearts and did an incredible job. I highly recommend both Jenny and Tina! read more

I went for the first time last week. My usual spot was all booked and I needed my nails done that day. They were extremely busy so I was glad I got an appt bc they turned gals away in front of me. Deluxe pedicure included a hot stone massage. It all felt fine but felt like my technician was going as fast as humanly possible. My guess because they felt pressure to turn chairs over faster. Manicure was done by another technician and it was fine. Planning to continue to frequent my other regular place but sounded like plenty of regulars around me. read more

As much as I wanted this to be a good review because my 4 year old had a fun time, my nails came out HORRIBLE. all of them are unevenly shaped, have bubbles in them, residue left under and around my fingers, and over half are arent smooth on the top. It felt like I was getting them done by a student in training instead of a professional. I'm really disappointed by my experience. read more

Always consistent and great/clean work. I love the pedicures/manicures that Lee gives. If I can get request him, I usually do. The salon has been updated with all new massage chairs and equipment. Very clean and a ton of color options. Tried going elsewhere in neighboring towns, but always come back here read more

WORST NAILS EVER!! Just look at them!! Let me preface this review with the fact that I've been getting my nails done since I was 9 years old and have been going here for just as long. I wanted a French manicure, I don't know what I got but it's not a French manicure. Starting off my mom and I made an appointment for Mother's Day. We booked two manicures and pedicures. They remembered our pedicures but only remembered my mother's manicure. I sat in a chair next to her for 45 minutes waiting for someone to do my nails... no one batted an eye. It wasn't until my mom asked if I am ever going to get my nails done that then the woman who was doing her manicure asked "oh she's supposed to be getting her nails done?" After admitting they forgot my appointment, they then tried to claim that "they were busy" when the place was virtually empty. The lady then rushed my nails. The nails are bubbled, uneven, sloppy, and wayyyyyy shorter than what I told her. They then charged me $100 for the ugliest nails I've ever had in my life! I have done my nails better using CVS press-ons! Sad to say my mom and I are officially done with this business and will be visiting nails techs from now on. If I'm spending at least $100, I'm going to be getting nails I'm proud to show off. read more

I don't have any complaints about this nail salon. Every time I go I can say that I leave satisfied. I prefer that Andy do my nails. He's quick and my nails never look thick or bulky, they look natural. I will highly recommend this mail salon to anyone. read more

I WON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE! I have been coming here for several months now and there are few places in KC where I can get such amazing service on a consistent basis. Stephanie did my manicure most recently and she made sure she got them EXACTLY how I wanted them. When I told her I wanted a rounded square shape to my nails, she gave the option of a flat tip or a rounded tip so she could give me the shape I envisioned. Then when she applied my gel polish she showed me how the color looked at the standard two coats and asked if I wanted a third coat which gave a slightly different color. Other places would have never asked me these questions and I would have been left to the mercy of the manicurist. And it's not just the manicures that rock. Their pedicures are amazing. Especially the VIP treatment with the paraffin wax. It leaves your feet so baby soft and beautiful especially after a harsh winter. But even if you just get the basic pedicure, they are sure to pamper you plenty with their awesome scrub and amazing massage technique. No ticklers here! I have also had my eyebrows done here on several occasions. As with every other service they offer, they approach waxing with same care and attention and have always left with picture perfect brows. As for their customer service, you can tell they do their very best to ensure you are taken care of. The entire salon is always neat and clean and all of their tools are either one time use or sanitized. Even on busy days, I have never had to wait too long before there was someone to take care of me and at least get my service started so I could enjoy a nice foot soak, chair massage, or get my old gel manicure removed. The entire staff is incredibly friendly, accommodating, and professional. I cannot recommend this place enough. Do yourself a favor and go here. Amazing service, amazing value. Can't go wrong! read more

My sister and I made an appointment and we were greeted and set up right away. The woman you did my pedicure was very attentive, precise, and efficient! The staff was very helpful at picking out a matching nail color and wasn't overly pushing on upgrades which I appreciated. The hole appointment only took an hour and the whole experience was so relaxing from the massage chairs, to hot towels, to hand massage at the end. Great pricing too, only $52 for a mani/pedi of great quality (won't have to worry about chipping or denying these beauties!). I would definitely recommend anyone to Lovely Nails for a lovely experience!! read more
