If you try to complain to customer service, I have to wonder if they're morons in a basement, they're useless. I ordered a pair of jeans online and went to the store to return or hopefully exchange. Tyler said I could exchange for the correct size and asked if I remembered how I paid (the receipt didn't say) I didn't remember and asked him if I should look. He said no, and immediately put my refund on a gift card. What Tyler failed to tell me was that if we couldn't find my size, that I was stuck with the gift card. And that's exactly what happened. To make matters worse, the jeans I bought were at a 45% discount. So, if my size did come back, the regular price is $20+ more than what's on my gift card. None of this was explained to me. I wanted my money back bcuz I couldn't get the jeans I wanted. I called customer service and corporate many times and less than nothing was done. That was my first and last time dealing with Torrid, ever.

I can't remember the last time I had to wait in line at a Target. Nonetheless, we had a really friendly cashier named Cameron who made conversation with us while he checked us out. That was really nice of him. Cameron now knows that we enjoy coffee and we now know that he loves pizza and enjoys putting coffee creamer in his milk. Great customer service is a beautiful thing. We purchased about 60% of what we were looking for; 40% was purchased on pure impulse. Target be damned! Easter items were 70-90% off and they had a ton of inventory leftover, even a week after the holiday. My gluttonous self couldn't pass up the bags of mini Snickers for less than $1.10/each. Target had some awesome displays set-up in the home goods area. Their Magnolia Home display was really pretty and the new line of Bohemian inspired home decor was 'oooh & ahhh' worthy, too. Clean store, well-organized, and there seemed to be plenty of employees working in various departments. We'll be back!

She was very attentive and helpful. I never felt like she was annoyed when I needed to try on gowns I had already tried on. She was very respectful and helpful. I really appreciated her. I purchased 2 gowns and a belt. I felt the prices were fine and worked for my budget. Thanks again Marita! You are amazing. The shop itself is large and plenty of room for people to move around and be made to feel special all around. I observed other women trying on gowns and we were quick to compliment each other. People really are the best. Women lifting women up. I think you should add some quotes around your store that empower women. Those statements would be positive for our bodies and our minds. Every woman no matter what size or beauty should be empowered. When I returned to pick up my ordered gowns, the store owner, Kaitlin waited on me. She was short of help this day as sometimes happens in shops because things happen. I felt appreciated for my purchase and would definitely shop here again. Overall, a wonderful experience. Elite Entertainment and Bridal Salon really came through for our wedding 6/15/19!! We loved…read moreeverything about the services we received from them!! The services that we had used from Elite: 1) I bought my wedding dress and veil through Elite Bridal and my mom bought her Mother of the Bride's dress- my mom and I had so much fun finding my dress there- they have COUNTLESS options for all budgets and styles! If you book an appointment in advance I know there is the option to have a VIP experience, I decided to save some money and just went with a regular visit in the afternoon, during the week, and still felt like a VIP!! All of the ladies at Elite Bridal were wonderful and very easy to work with! 2) We did limo through Elite Limos and originally booked the Escalade limo, for a decent price. However, the Escalade had an unfortunate incident with a deer the week before our wedding but Kaitlin & Ryan were very kind and offered to upgrade us for free to the Party Bus or Hummer Limo- we chose the party bus and it was fantastic! 3) We chose to have our DJ through Elite Entertainment and Jeff Blankenship wound up being our guy! We received so many compliments all night on how awesome the DJ and music was and how no one had ever seen so many people on the dance floor through the whole night! Everyone is talking about how much fun they had at our wedding and I think Jeff & Elite Entertainment had a lot to do with that!! Thank you!! 4) We also chose to do Chiavari Chairs through Elite Entertainment, and they were beautiful!! I received a lot of compliments on how pretty they were and really added to the ambiance in the room! 5) Stacy from Elite helped us order tuxes through Jim's Formalwear and all of the tuxes looked great on the guys and they said they were very easy to order. Many of them needed to order them from out of state or far away (more than half actually!) and they also said it was a very easy process. My husband actually needed a different size jacket and vest when he received his in the mail and when he called Jim's Formalwear to get the new size it came in the mail very quickly TWICE!! He received it in the mail in plenty of time for us to get married. All in all- we would choose Elite all over again for the quality of service that they provided. Every interaction that I had with them via e-mail, phone, or in person was equally as personable and helpful. I have heard that some people in the area don't go with Elite because it's too "pricey" but I disagree- if you choose them for multiple services then you end up getting discounts galore! We actually saved money by going with them for so many things AND received high quality and trustworthy services! We ended up having severe rain all day during our wedding and some things needed to be moved around last minute- my aunt who was acting as our day- of coordinator on my behalf said that Elite was very easy to work with and that between her, Kaitlin from Elite, and Caitlin from the Regent (our ceremony and reception location) everything was taken care of! I can't thank all of the Elite Entertainment & Bridal employees enough for everything! We had the best day ever and I know that was in huge part to all of you!!

The second trip ended up being awful in that I purchased what I thought was a good maternity belt but ended up being too small (this might be hard to believe, but your belly tends to grow in size when you're pregnant. Wowzers.). I brought it back during my third visit because I wasn't positive that the problem was related to sizing and wanted to see if they could offer advice. As it turns out, it was too small and the two incredibly sweet and helpful women on staff that afternoon did pretty much everything in their power to get me a store discount and fit me with the right belt, which ended up being more expensive and totally worth it. It's usually brimming with cool knickknacks, wall decor items, lamps, the odd accent chairs and ornament tables thrown in for good measure. There's so much beauty to behold here. It's like a poor man's art gallery. Or an Ikea on a more manageable level. And the best thing about TJ Maxx: prices aren't exorbitant. Which's just as well considering the fact that it's a discount retailer. I can totally see myself decorating our apartment with stuff bought from TJ Maxx if I had a ton of money. As things currently stand, I'm just content browsing through the aisles, oohing and aahing at all the lovely stuff from a distance!

This particular TJMAXX in Champaign has been going steadily downhill during the last year. I…read morerecently found myself in the middle of a fight between 4 young black men right in front of the dressing rooms. It was 11:30 on a Friday morning, and I was later told by an employee that no security were even in the store yet! The manager emerged from her office looking bewildered. The staff were extremely disorganized in figuring out how to handle this. Not very confidence inspiring! I now drive to the Bloomington or Decatur TJMAXX, although this type of incident seems to happen anywhere these days. Just relieved that no guns were displayed.
