Hey Yelpers. The Love's Travel Stop on the east side of Amarillo, TX was a quick exit from Interstate 40 due east. Getting back on the interstate was just as easy. On November 25, 2023, I was grateful for super fast pumps & being able to clean my windshield. The card reader was fast. No hassles like other gas stations I had been to recently. Fuel was cheaper than anticipated: Regular unleaded = $2.70 Unleaded plus = $3.10 Premium unleaded = $3.40 Diesel = $4.27 I'd stop here again. It was pouring down rain just before Amarillo and sprinkling in this area. Was nice to have the extra tall overhead roof to help block the elements while I checked my vehicle during its gas-gulpling session. Well-lit at night. A brief stop at this Love's for a restroom break. It's one of the smaller sized Love's I have been to - the parking lot is not at all large but I did manage to find parking for the Sprinter van. Inside, the usual coffee with fixings, grab-and-go bunker of chilled food, snacks, drinks and yes, roller grill of hot dogs and similar tube-shaped snacks. Laura Ramirez at the Amarillo I-40 east TX947 location is the worst. We paid a wrecker driver for services rendered. He went into the Loves to cash his check. Laura Ramirez ran the express code and told him it was no good. We told her it was registered at that locations and she called me a liar. I sent a copy of the picture showing that TX947 cashed the check and I was informed that it was not her problem. When I asked her to call Comdata I was rudely told "NO, it's my problem. The check shows void and I can't help you". read more

I'm a van driver, yesterday I was here at 6:30 pm for overnight. a love's worker comes to me at 11:30 pm and asked me to leave because there is complaints about us ?!! he said not about me but all van drivers! dumbest reason to ask to leave for ever heard I'm not talking about this guy because he's only doing his job, but I have a message for the manager of this location: it's not the right way to run a business like this. I'm a driver, I live on the road so all my costs are on gas food and my van maintenance. read more

I came in this location and aired up my tires, but ended up putting too much air and struggling to get the air pressure right. The people at the register sent me to the back and Anthony not only aired up my tires for me, but showed me how to get air out when there is too much for next time. read more

As far as travel/gas stops go, this place certainly did the trick. All gas pumps appeared to be working. There were many things to choose from in the store--food, beverages, car care and touristy items. The bathroom needed some TLC, but it wasn't too bad. Staff were pretty friendly. I stopped again for fuel. Either it's a really long way from Oklahoma City or I was burning fuel too quickly. I also needed fuel for me, as I hadn't eaten since the previous afternoon. They had Godfather's Pizza, and I ordered a Mini Hot Stuff pizza. I really like that, but I also ordered it because I don't know how long the pizzas sit out. They are horribly greasy after 30 minutes, and the box will let grease through to the table. (Yes, it's not my table, but if you're putting this on a seat in your vehicle, you might want to think twice.) The pizza was as expected. Fueling worked well, and I even got a receipt. The pumps were so slow I had time to get my phone out and write this review. The facility was nice otherwise.

There was a sign on the door saying ALL Marlboro, $5.10 a pack. However, a carton was over $60. The cashier was really rude. Didn't catch his name, only the fact that he was an older bald man. He basically said, well, that's the computer do you want them or not. We decided to do our shopping elsewhere. We travel a lot and go to Love's all the time and never have issues. This one however, I'll bypass. He sure doesn't give a good first impression on the people in Texas. It's a good thing I've been here before and know better. read more

I've never been to a more friendly truck stop! They were so awesome greeting all travelers as they walked through the door and letting them know where the restrooms were. Made our sandwiches perfectly and had super fresh fruit! It was like stopping at a friend's place! Thank you Daniel and all the ladies working there! You guys are awesome! read more

I'm from LA and am currently in Albuquerque from Montreal - en route back to LA. Wasn't sure what to expect in the middle of the country being From LA...I've heard they aren't fond of us haha...anyway... Had to buy a strap for the luggage on top of our car. Not only did this place have a good selection, when my city-boy a** screwed it up and got the strap stuck in the crank, the guys working there stopped what they were doing to help me figure it out. Both (one named Aaron - didn't catch the others name) were super helpful and friendly. Great place to take a pit stop and get help from some friendly folks! read more

The older guy that works in the tire service department is a big A-hole has a serious attitude problem I guess he is pissed because he has to work on Sunday. Not a people person "LOVES" put him in the office keep him away from people. read more
