Great place to stop. Food is delicious. Restrooms are clean. Coffee is fresh. Shells are always stocked.

I have never been at a gas station that made me cuss until I tried filling up here. First pump it just endlessly told me to keep my card in the reader and wouldn't let me cancel so I went to the cashier and told them to cancel and she gave me attitude. Second pump's screen was deadass slower than a tripod dog trying to run down the stairs and then the pump itself didn't want to start pumping and wouldn't lock into auto fill. The guys working here were a godsend. We got a flat right on the access road before here, and got in a parking spot just in time. I went in asking for a socket/wrench set to get our jack out and the guys in there got me to a couple sets to choose from AND gave me a recommendation and directions to go to Southern Tire Mart down the road. They weren't busy but nobody bothered trying to seat me while I waited to be seated at the Denny's located inside. If I could give this place no stars I would! I took a friend to an interview today...mind you he tried to schedule this interview for 12:30 they insisted on 12. He showed up for his interview 1 mi till 12. a person got on the said he is here and on time and lady came out who was not the hiring manager and told him the potion was filled he needed to buy Somthing or get out! i then called and talk to Jacob the actual hiring manger who said he would check the camera and they don't hire if your late. I then res with he wasnt and explained he was and proceeded to tell him what happened. he said he would check the camera and that was out of char for the lady... not okay at all!!! I have been a manager and done onboarding this was very rude and unprofessional! he should have interviewed and apologized. Wooow this is how they treat good people who want to work for them? I was really impressed with this Flying J's beautiful, clean, hotel-grade showers and a really friendly helpful janitorial crew around the clock, totally worth the $12! Every Sunday, a local church group meets in the lounge to provide (Christian, but not the pushy kind!) services for those passing through. The group gathered there on my way through were welcoming, kind, and worshiped via song and guitar accompaniment. I'm certainly not a church-goer, but I really dug the vibe and respect that this business supports the local and transient community in this way. Review is for the restaurant. Showed up around noon, almost all tables were dirty, took a little while. Pancakes (blueberry) creme and French toast were awesome. Friendly service. I'd stop here again but hopefully next time I'll catch it when it's not so busy. read more

my husband and i are truck drivers - i went in to get us food - I stood in front of the hot food and waited while cashier served another customer - after she completed his transaction she walked right past me and came out to the floor to start stocking the cold food that was on the cart that was about 2 feet from me so there was no way that she didn't see me - she did not even look at me - this was on june 4th 2019 at approximately 7:45 pm . i stood there for a few more seconds and ended up just walking out - i don't understand that kind of customer service - i've never been treated like that at a flying J - i had just driven all day and was just too tired to deal with it - any other day i would have asked for the manager - but i will head to petro down the road - thanks anyway lady! read more

Since when is it ok for cashiers to chastise chastise their customers? There is one cashier in particular (Pam) that has a habit of correcting and criticizing customers as if they worked for her. Almost every time I go inside & she's working, I hear her telling customers how they should or shouldn't do/ask for something. She's loud. You can hear her all the way at the back of the store where the TV lounge is for truckers. I refuse to get in her line at the register. And if she's the only cashier, I take my business elsewhere! read more

I'm SOOO disappointed in Denny's. We are fairly regular customers of Denny's, but usually go to a different one. I've never had any serious complaints. I've got one now. We went to the Denny's inside Flying J by the airport this morning. We were told that it would be 15min before they could put two tables together for our "gigantic" party of 5. my dad offered to put the two empty tables we were standing next to together and the hostess looked shocked that they were there. We were seated and our order was taken very quickly. However, 45min later, we had to leave to get to the airport. NO Food. read more

If your a trucker, like me, go to the Pilot or TA up the road for a shower. Worst experience ever. They don't clean their sinks or toilets. Walked in into a shower and noticed there was stubble on the sink and toilet and there were no towels. I assumed they forgot that shower. No problem, it happens. So I told them and offered to get another shower. They insisted on me waiting a minute or so while they take care of the one I had. No problem. A minute later they tell me it's finished. There were towels, but everything else was the same. Still had stubble and it looks like they just moved a wet towel around to give it a "just cleaned" look. I have been to the showers at the Pilot up the road and they are better. The service at Denny's is good, but they have a spiking section, which was interesting. Could not smell smoke though. Even at 3 yards away. Denny's is the only reasons for the stars, but Flying J drops it severely. read more

This is one of the better Flying J. I wish to give special recognition to the fine young lady in the barber shop. Getting a haircut when you work on the road isn't easy. Dirty awful service, terrible attitude and charges us before we got our gas. Won't stop there again. We got sick grom eating at their Denny's. Yeah it was after Christmas drivers. But they know the score on how busy they stay and let the clients down. read more

Knowing that Flying J has propane, waited to fill up when we stopped to get gas. They had propane, but no one certified to operate the tanks. Really. What kind of business sense does that make. read more
