With that said, trying to schedule A Covid test is like trying to get a last minute hair appointment on New Years Eve- it ain't happening! I finally found a few appointments available at this location, so I booked on line. The process was great- they send you an email with the confirmation and instructions. When you drive into the parking lot, the instructions state to follow the signs and not to enter the store (makes sense!); there was visible signage that directed you to the drive up window. When it is your turn, you show your id and confirmation email, they check their records and confirm your identity. They tell you how to self administer the nasal swab and pass the test kit to you in a container they place in the telescoping window- all the while they clean and disinfect the window, the box and the entire area in you view. After swabbing your nose according to the instructions provided, you place the applicator inside a vial with liquid and screw the cap on, place it in the ziplock baggie and back into the tray and the the window. You get your test results via email anywhere within three days; this was not the rapid test but they so administer both here. I was impressed that with everything they have to do for these tests, my schedules apply was only late by five minutes or so- this is pretty good!

This has happened with multiple family members multiple times. Once with an infection that required antibiotics and another that was antivirals. These are medications you should not be waiting days for. These need to be started immediately! When it's finally available it takes forever to pick up because the lines outside and inside are terribly long. Usually only 1 person at the checkout handling a long line of people. CVS in El Paso is much better and faster always.

When my daughters and I stopped here in July 2024, they had a new Tabby shop cat that they adopted from Ruidoso. My lovely T-mobile cell phone service does not work well in this area. If you're camping in the area, this little store has some awesome finds at reasonable prices. Plus, they sell stuff like jerky and fudge. Even if you purchase something within the store, if you leave the property at all, within 10 minutes your car is towed, GONE. Management of both Walgreens and the tow company are complete jerks. I saw them tow a family as they were trying to get in their car. They will do anything just short of running you over to do their scam. I suppose they make more money on towing cut back sand the ATM fees (to get your car back you have to pay $175 in cash only) than in the store. Stopped by there as i headed back to Pflugerville, Texas today to fulfill the Allsup order request. Walked out with $36 in fried burritos and chimichanga's And the sauce. They have been lovingly painted with scenes of the local town. Oh what an honor to be painted on a dumpster! The store is kinda gritty and dirty. The lights flicker on and off like some sort of zombie movie around here. The place does keep busy at all hours though. They sell most everything you need up in here. Beer, burritos, bubble gum- you name it- they got it. I'm not a big fan of Allsup's gas- it's only 86 octane and up to 10% ethanol. I don't want all that- it's like gas lite. The clerk was friendly and seemed happy to be there and was more than willing to assist.
