This place is clean and nice? Gas was much cheaper than the truck stop next door. Christol, the cashier was super friendly and helpful!

Passing through New Mexico on a road trip and had to make a pit stop. Pulled off the freeway and…read morecame to Loves truck stop and gas station to fill up and get a bite to eat. Subway is located inside and we got some sandwiches, chips, and drinks to go. The place was very clean and employees were welcoming and friendly. I loved lots of veggies in my sandwich and the veggies here were looked good and tasted fresh. The bread is freshly backed daily and they a have a verity to choose from. We got our order and we were back on the road. Will stop by again when in the area. One happy customer.

The customer service was just horrible and food wasn't being rotated out how it's supposed to. She gave me an attitude multiple times times, spoke in a rude tone and when I went in to fix the order she messed up for the second time, she gave me an ugly stank face and turned around. She just walked away and I guess she thought I didn't understand Spanish because she then told the girl "put gloves on, and take her food away". It's not only what you say but how you say it. I'm not sure what her position is because she looks like she's in her 40s but her manners and customer service etiquette needs to be worked on. She was more focused on who her boyfriend was taking care of instead of the orders she needed to take. I heard her say babe more than she asked the people before and after me if they wanted anything else on their sandwich. Don't recommend coming here.

We are so lucky to have found this place and get to taste some of Jim's BBQ!!…read more It's located a little out of town, or before town depending on which direction you are traveling. It is a super easy stop if you're coming through the area, plenty of parking and some cool planes to look at as well. Jim greeted us as we entered and took our order as well as served us and explained all the different color coded sauce options! Oh my was everything tasty! The side dishes were just as impressive as the meats! Hard to believe this all started because a friend asked Jim to make some BBQ for his birthday party! I want to say thank you for the hospitality and wonderful food you shared with us we had a wonderful lunch in restaurant and took the leftovers home for dinner with our selection of our favorite sauces. Definitely check this place out, another tip the gas station at the same exit on other side of freeway is one of the cheapest around too! So one stop shopping full yourself and the car up!

We arrived and there was already a delicious wafting of smoke and BBQ sauce when we opened the door. Yum. I got a 2 meat platter with spare ribs and brisket. It included 2 sides and I got fries and cornbread. Others had the Haystack burger, a 2 meat plate with brisket and turkey, a Jim Bobs burger and a pulled pork sandwich. I have no photo evidence of our meals because we all dove right in when served. My ribs were spicy, but the meat was very good. The brisket was outstanding. It was more food than I expected and I shared half of the brisket and one rib. The cornbread was warm and perfect and the fries were hot and had a nice coating on them. I'm so full there's no need for dinner! Everybody raved about their food. We loved the look of the restaurant, it's plane themed and it works! The meals were served in a reasonable amount of time, the woman who took our orders came over with our food and made sure we had everything we needed. We got to see a helicopter take off and a small jet arrive and that was certainly different than any other restaurant in town! And as an added treat, we stopped to see the repurposed public art Roadrunner on our way back into town. It was a great way to enjoy a little movement after a big lunch!

We're both indoor and outdoor seating, you have to be out of your mind not to sit out door next to the fireplace. This is New Mexico in the winter at its best. So on this trip, I was after the ultimate chili relleno. They are excellent here. I'm a Pan Fried guy. None of that baked in the oven nonsense. Of course you can get them covered in red sauce or green sauce, but the queso sauce here is really great. Sopapillas here are also simply outstanding for dessert. Go for the plain. The wait staff are delightful. Helpful efficient, and don't pester you. Bring your dog.

Service is fast and friendly. My girlfriend and I ordered beers, the chile con queso, and two combination plates (one green one red). My favorite item was the chile con queso, served with warm tortillas. Grabbed some pico de gallo from the salsa bar to top the queso with and it was fabulous. Combo plates were good and hearty. I'd recommend the red one over the green - the pork tamale was the best item, followed by the enchilada. I didn't care for the flauta, which felt overcooked and dry. Overall enjoyed my experience.
