Somehow I forgot to take pictures while at Nan's Country Store! We originally planned to visit The Peanut Shack but as it was closed, we stepped into Nan's. Nan's is small inside but offers so many items. You can find local honey, boiled peanuts, and gator jerky at Nan's. There are also many kinds of sauces, jams ,nuts, and baked goods available as well as a large assortment of snacks and drinks. Many of these products are Amish made. We found several tee shirts and hats at a fairly good price. Typical souvenir items are available as well. There's so many items packed into one store! I saw flags, wind chimes, shell decor, kitchen utensils, sunscreen, and other basic first aid/toiletries. My husband enjoyed the milk shake he ordered. Rest rooms were rather small and rustic but clean. Would like to visit again if we're in the Marianna area. read more

Cool store that has a lot packed in. We are traveling and stopped because of the road signs. Just like Wall Drug SD, there are little yellow signs advertising products. What pulled us in was the signs for moon shine jellies and the Tupelo and Orange Blossom honey. There are jars on the counter with assortments of nuts and candies and other goodies. There is a lot to look at here with jellies, honey, hot sauces, soups, and many other food items. We walked out of there with peach pie and blackberry Moonshine jelly, key lime bourbon jelly, and orange blossom and Tupelo honey. It was really hard not to purchase more items. The two man in the store were very friendly and made you feel like long lost friends. If we travel this rout again we would stop in again in a heartbeat. If you travel 231 to Panama City, Florida, every 20 miles, there is a random ice cream/candy/bottled jellies/sauces/souvenir stop in the middle of nowhere. Nan's is no exception. I did find it interesting that they have Bluebell ice cream and Hershey's ice cream. I went with a cookies and cream milkshake and it was a little over $4. That is a solid price unlike my previous review when I paid about $6 for a milkshake at a different ice cream place. I did not realize how big Nan's is. I came in for ice cream and I turned around to the sight of shelves filled with bottled jellies and sauces. I found the shelf full of BBQ sauces and I actually bought a bottle of homemade BBQ sauce for about $5. I haven't tried it yet but with so many choices, I had to take one with me. I stopped by a Nan's country store on the way home from Florida for boiled peanuts my favorite! From the Yelp reviews I made my decision as there are a lot of peanut places in the Alabama Florida area. What I like about Nance is they have a whole peanut shack and they know how to make the peanuts just right. I've been a boiled peanut aficionado all my life and I can only endorse men's world famous old peanuts when you're going to the beach or going back home on 231. The store also has a lot of pickled products jams preserves and souvenirs as well. read more

When I say I Love Nan's Country Store, that's an understatement. I learned of Nan's country store a year ago while leaving Panama City. I love stopping at highway mom and pop stores. But Nan's Country Store was theee best stop. They have an abundance of Amish products, homemade ice creams, flavored jellies, honey, alligator jerky, saltwater taffy and many other novelties. One of my favorites are the Amish flavored cheeses and butter. My first time trying it, I instantly feel in love. My boyfriend and I called the store once we got back home. To ask if we could order more online. Or if they can ship any of their products from a phone order. Which they can. But the cheese and butter can only be shipped in the winter season. So this time around I bought almost all the cheese from the refrigerator. Along with another customer. So! If your in the area of Nan's country store in Marianne, Florida. This is an interesting store along the route from Atlanta to Florida along Highway 231. I'm not quite sure how to categorize it as the store features many "tschotskie" type items that you used to find in stores all along this route - now you nearly need to be in Florida before you see them. These are mostly novelty or souvenir items - when I was a kid they were mostly made in Japan - this transitioned to Hong Kong, Taiwan and finally to China. You can also find some local items like alligator skulls and the like, some hats and other "Florida" wear. Nan's does have a largish collection of confection and chocolate in the store. I thought the people working there very nice and good at answering questions - it's obvious they are used to the traveling vacationer. I'm not too sure about the pricing - I didn't see any real bargains. The store did offer a rather extensive selection of local honey and preserves that are worth trying. Every year since my daughter was in 8th grade we go from Gainesville FL to Troy AL. We found Nan's 5 years ago. We are totally addicted to them. We love the Amish products they have. Of course, we always buy too much, and never waste anything. There are a lot of unique items there. One of my daughter's favorites are the jerkys they have. Such as kangaroo. Very VERY friendly staff. Look it up if you are in N FL headed to AL or the panhandle. Don't pass them by. Can't wait to see them tomorrow! read more

This is DEFINATELY a place you need to visit! Make sure you are not pressed for time, because you will end up spending an hour or two just browsing! There are literally THOUSANDS of souvenirs here! All kinds of stuff- too much to list everything I seen there. starfish, sea shells, alligator heads, hats, shirts, flags, novelty license plates, all sorts of food items (gator jerky, peanuts, candy), key chains, wind chimes, jewelry, dream catchers, bonsai trees, candles, wall plaques... just too much to list, really. The selection is amazing! Downsides: the parking lot is small and not paved, and the store itself is too clustered- too much stuff in so little space. The store should expand by at least %100 to comfortably hold its inventory and visitors. Pave a parking lot so people don't track mud into their cars and in the store. When we went there, it was rainy, and there were lots of people in the store- everyone kept bumping into one another. Another thing, some items were really cheap, but a lot of things were overpriced- in my opinion. I spotted many of the same souvenirs at truck stops for considerably less. Either way, this is a great place to stop and stretch your legs if you are passing through Marianna. The people who work there are very friendly. Will be stopping by again if we pass through the area! read more

I stop there every time I go to my daughters in Dothan, I stop to by some jelly or jams. Its a great store. Run by to lovely ladies. I know the mother is Nan, but I never got the young ladies name. But anyway I recommend you stop on your way up north or to the beach. read more

I purchased several items 16 items from Nans right at closing (5:10 PM) on March 11, 2018. I asked that 4 items (Four beautiful Dragons) be boxed or wrapped. They wrapped them. After purchasing the item and a delicious ice cream cone, I was given my bags of items. When I went thru my car and took out all the items and placed them on my dining room table the following day, the two nice larger dragons were "not" included. I have tried and tried calling the 1-850-325-1118 which does not allow one to leave a message, to no avail. The website is no help either, by not having a contact email address. There's no venue to contact them other than Facebook. I cancelled that spy link months ago and refuse to rejoin. I would appreciate if someone from Nan's contact me ASAP so that I can provide them an address to the send me the items. I am very upset! However, the ice cream was good. Nan's is a great last stop before leaving Florida. It has clean toilets, lots of sweets, fresh boiled peanuts, Florida oranges, Amish food and preserves, a huge selection of hot sauces and jerkys. I've been stopping here for years. It's good for picking up last minute gifts or stopping in for a snack and the toilet. :) read more

An excellent place to stop for good prices on Florida souvenirs and gifts. I was really impressed by the wonderful selection of Amish jams, jellies, butter and cheese, too. This store has everything! It is conveniently located along the commuter Hwy 231 and features a vast variety of keepsakes and gifts. The staff is warm, friendly, and most helpful in finding whatever you may be searching for. If your looking to try a new hot sauce, this store has gazillions on the shelf!
