If I see a Love's Travel Stop during a road trip I know that it's a safe place for me to stop with my toddler. The interior is so clean and the bathrooms are great! I love Buc Ee's however they are far and few between. Love's is often on my path when I travel and I try to plan our pitstop's around them. It's nice when they have a quick service place attached to them however they have a wide variety of snacks, quick meals, and beverages in their main center. Their employees are always so nice and helpful. They frequently have sales on their stuffies so my little one almost always leaves with a new stuffed friend. read more

East bound on I-4 out of Tampa - my fuel gauge is banging a quarter of a tank. There's no need to panic at 7 miles to the gallon with a tank that holds over a hundred gallons there's plenty of time to figure this out, a simple calculation gives me the approximate distance I can drive before things get critical - note driving a rig over 55 feet can't be fuel just anywhere. Fuel islands that run parallel to the station is best for easy access for oversized vehicles, unfortunately most stations are set up with the pump islands perpendicular to the building making fueling a little more challenging. According to studies by the U.S. Department of Energy, the optimal fuel efficient speed is 55 MPH, but may vary depending on vehicles. I usually drive about 70 MPH which is 17% less efficient than driving 55 MPH - I check the tire pressures regularly and since these tires are inflated to 110 psi I gain back about 0.3% per PSI so without a pressure drop I don't get the wasteful transfer of energy dissipating from under inflated tires. I also gain about 1%-2% simply by using the recommended motor oil and keeping the engine properly tuned, ensuring the oxygen sensor is in good shape. I also check air filters every few months to ensure proper airflow into the engine. Doing the math in my head I can skip a few exits and make it to Route 27 and pull into this Love's. The pump set-up wasn't optimal but better than most and I was able to fuel up without blocking the traffic flow. It's not perfect, not that any place is, unfortunately the fuel pumps shut down at $100 that's inconvenient maybe I need to get the Love's App (not sure if that would matter besides I'm not a trucker, just a weekend bus driver when the opportunity presents itself). This place is safe and a great place to crash if you need to get some rest before hitting the long drive. They don't stock the Bean Breakfast Tacos as often as I wish they would. There's always two tops, and the rest is for meat eaters. Vegetarians love Loves's Tacos as well. Bathrooms are always pristine, which is expected for this establishment. The staff is also at the highest level of friendliness and helpfulness, which is also expected per the Love's Establishment. I love Love's and can't say anything that it's lacking other than it's unawareness to vegetarians and their ready to go food. read more

My company used their roadside service. We were told one hour, and I contacted them at an hour and 10minutes later to get an ETA on the driver and all the nonchalant man on the phone can tell me is, it only has been an hour and 10mins and that the driver is driving. He had no way of contacting him and didn't know the company phone number that they provide the drivers. They were so informational when it came to the order and paying but as soon as that was complete their true colors showed. Almost 2hrs later the driver arrived. I was having car trouble and stopped at the Loves in Davenport. The clerk at the register, (I regret) I didn't get his name, was so courteous and helpful. He asked Rudi the mechanic to see if he could help me. Rudi immediately came to my aid. He discovered I needed oil and put it in my car. It's always a good safe place to stop and fill up. The coffee is always fresh and you can get a hotdog which are actually pretty good. They have lots of other snacks and drinks available too. Also they always have automobile supplies for your truck or car. If you don't like hotdogs there's an Arby's attached. If your tired you can rest in there lit which is nice. read more

Our rental car was over heating so we pulled into Loves. They were so helpful they. They put in the coolant and found there was a leak in the hose. The employee then followed us on the highway to our rental return to ensure we did not get stranded. Thank goodness for Love's because Enterprise Roadside Assistance were not help at all. read more
