I visited this Love's Travel Stop several times and thought I should finally give them a 5 star review. The evening shift ALWAYS welcomes me with friendly smiles as well as excellent customer service. Restrooms are always clean and fountain area always clean and stocked and free of debris. The security guard Reggie be ready to defend a lady and complements me which boots my ego. There's an Angel there as well, she's usual at the fuel register and comforts me with her Light. Better than Hate's and Dislike's, marginally better than Like's. It's pretty cool having a truck stop inside the Houston city limits in the north part of town - but this is a pretty poor area and you get a whole lot of homeless people and panhandlers and crazy people - the last part being the most worrying. It's definitely not a really safe truck stop - and I sleep at a lot of truck stops, but never would at this one - and would not give you a very good impression of Houston if you stop here. Nastiest bathrooms I've ever been in! Black mold everywhere! I wish corporate would see these photos and do something about it. Go elsewhere if you need one or even to go to the bathroom. Trash all over the parking lot and a panhandler comes up to you every 10 min so make sure nothing of value is left in the bed of the truck. read more

Their return policy is the worst ever, I bought a Bluetooth head set like a week ago and they refuse to reimburse my money because the box was open. this was like a second home to me for almost two years! everyone knows me and my husband well after a couple months i randomly stopped by tonight bc my ass was craving a recess and had to pee and was surprised by the over night manager asandria and cashier kesha rudely saying im not supposed to be in there and giving me ugly looks. ny husband asked why and they responded with i had been caught trying to steal something. what? im sorry what??! everyone in this truck stop knows me literally even the wendy's workers know me even the customer that are there daily know me why tf would i attempt to steal anything from the one place where literally everyone knows me. and also, i don't live in the area anymore i stay all they way in porter and have for months now 7 months to be exact ive lived in porter and hadnt been here and the very last time i was in there i actually spoke to the same manager about a job and she was so nice and told me to apply and she would get me an interview. that was the last time i was in there now she randomly wants to harrass me and accuse me of being a thief. umm no maam that is falsely accusing me of an attempted theft, they humiliated me and when i told them to look at my id and match it to the person that they caught and believe to be me they refused and humiliated me some more. now i have seen this happen on two other occasions when i was spending alot of time there to people that were innocent so now corporate i need yall to contact me because i'm seriously considering contacting a lawyer for injustice, harassment, racism, and humiliation plus being accused of a crime i never committed. y'all's security is a fuckn joke. read more

This is possibly the worst loves or any truck stop in the country. The bathrooms has 3 stalls which all were stopped up. You could not take a step with a bathroom without stepping on toilet paper or paper towels. The station with the hot dogs the counter was so caked with food was no place to set anything. The hot dogs were black and old and covered with grease . The young lady who was working in the station with the hot dogs was so busy talking on the phone the whole time she helped absolutely nobody I asked for the manager and explain the problem to her and her comment was I will get to it when I can. These people are rude and personal and obviously do not care about the customers. I would be ashamed to the manager of this store. read more

My roommate was a truck driver in training and his trainer dropped him off here for me to pick him up. I know it's Houston and there is a lot of dodgy parts but, wow this place is GHETTO! The streets leading to it are super sketchy with sketchy people standing on the corner and you will feel completely unsafe even venturing here. Imagine how it is when you pull into the parking lot? Yeah it doesn't get any better. It was a lot smaller than other locations that I have been to and their inside selections weren't that great either. I would drive a few more miles and you will be able to find a safer gas station to fill up at! read more

I don't even want to give this place 1 star, wish there was a 0 star option. As a trucker, being away from family, a comfortable bed, and fresh warm meals every day, it makes you have no choice but to look forward to your next truck stop to re-charge.. very disappointed in the staff and property/building maintenance at this particular Love's. Me and my husband like to come here to get the filth off of us from driving so long.. we pull in, parking lot is littered with trash, staff isn't friendly or welcoming at all, don't say much at all in general, bathrooms are never clean and get worse each time I go in, SHOWERS HAVE BLACK MOLD!! We felt so disgusting even after taking a shower at this stop.. doesn't even look like they clean or sanitize before customers (even though COVID is still around) - it looks like they just grab the dirty towels and replace them with new ones and call the next customer in, horrific. I hope the staff knows that black mold in showers has to be removed by a professional, not just painted over. Once you touch black mold, it releases tons of mycotoxins into the air, causing severe respiratory issues once inhaled. Staff won't do a thing. I smell a lawsuit boiling.. a big one. Saw a man's review from 2 years ago stating that there was black mold everywhere, they still haven't done anything. We have already sent an email to corporate so let's see if they give a hoot about the truckers that keep their pockets full. read more

I been working here for 7months and all I can say is this location is horrible!!! The assistant Manager Sheniya is messy!!! She act like a highschooler. The assistant manager Vanessa stayed picking at me. Lied on me plenty of times to make it seem like I was picking at her. They run in packs there. We there to work not make friends!!! They half ass clean the showers and show favoritism towards the employees. If you go to the general manager with a problem he/she will brush it off like they don't care. They only give raises to certain people. Security is there but never really around. They lie about overnight pay so make sure you get that if you do work there overnight. Stay to yourself here!!! They be out to get you, Especially management when they supposed to show you the way.. If I would I'll give them no stars. Make sure y'all give everyone consequences for their actions not just the people y'all don't like. Nothing but favoritism!! read more

Large truck lot, can find space at 11pm on a weekend. The lot is dirty though especially on the edges where the creek runs. Showers are filthy, full of mold. Shower # 5 also had no ventilation in the vents, just a fan, so after you get out your filthy wet all over again. The good: it's nearly in center of Houston, can see the downtown highrises. There's a TON of excellent food/restaurants around, many within walking distance 1 mile or less. There's always a few uber cars circling near by, so getting out and back in is easy. I just left this location at 11:30pm 11-14-15. And I have to say that this has got to be the worst Love's Travel Stop. The Wendy's restaurant has the worst crew everrrrr... They're was a least 6 workers behind the counter and they act like they didn't want to work. So I left and went to the store to get me something to eat. Went to the cash register to pay for my items and the cashier took forever to give me bag. The problems is that they schedule a bunch of fucking youngster that didn't want to work on a Saturday night and they just didn't give a dame about working. If I was their supervisor they all will be "FIRED!!!!!!!" Has long that their a bunch of stupid ass youngster working the night shift I'll never be there. Makes you wonder how many times that the money drawers have be coming up short? read more

It was awhile back I went to this place but I do remember it feeling very unsafe as other reviews have stated. At night you don't want to get out of your truck. There's really not much to choose from for parking a big truck in the middle of Houston though.. and it is Houston.. so not much of a surprise. Probably need to be a little creative if you want to find a place that fills safe, maybe a holiday in or something along those lines were they sometimes have parking for a big truck. read more

If you travel often, you can tell when more effort is put into the customer experience. TA & Flying J does an amazing job at this. I cannot say the same for Love's. Some around the country are decent, but this one in particular (I won't exclude them, entirely, however most of the stops are lower quality than most) is by far the worst stop I've been to. Showers were lukewarm with outdated appliances. Cleanliness? No. They gave me keys to a shower that hadn't been cleaned yet. When they do clean them, it doesn't feel sparkling clean like most. Offensive smells near the shower area. Your TV room is paired with their Wendy's - so be prepared to sit on hard wooden chairs, and be forced to smell of cooking oil if you'd like to watch some television. By the way, the staff are really bothered to help. I hate to be harsh, but when I travel, I expect quality customer service. Either you need to adapt to the ever changing patterns of customer service, or feel the wrath of the innovation of others who "get it". Period. read more
