Traveling through southern New Mexico, there's not too many travel/gas stations to select from. Several things at this location can be improved. The men's bathroom really needs to be cleaned. Also, the dog park on site really needs to be cleaned up and more mulch added to cover the muddy spots. It happened to be raining when we were traveling. Trash in the parking area needs to be picked up. The store does offer a nice selection of snacks and refreshments. read more

Stopped there on a Sunday morning to top off gas tank. The gas pump I pulled up to was absolutely filthy with grease and dirt covering the front of it as well as the pump handles were grimy and black with dirt. I'm sure from a lot of traffic coming through but never have seen a pump I had to use so dirty. Then went to the building to buy a sandwich and the door glass was smeared and dirty and the handles were filthy to the doors to enter the building. When traveling long distances via car, we tend to fuel up at Love's because the restrooms are clean and there are plenty of fuel pumps. This Love's always is busy and has just 3 stalls in the restroom and not as many pumps as usual, meaning there's always a wait. I'm hoping that this location is on the list to be updated like the "nearby" one in Las Cruces. read more

What I love about this Love's Travel Stop: The employees are friendly and acknowledged my young daughters in tow particularly on 11/21/21. They are constantly cleaning especially in and around the restrooms. They have the windshield cleaner buckets filled and ready for you to clean off the grime from the New Mexico and Arizona highways. No price gouging on gas and snacks for the road prior to and after Thanksgiving. Good for trucks and trailers. State police have a presence here. Close to the I-10 freeway. I think this could have been a good stop, but it was crowded with people who were driving over curbs, leaving their vehicles at the gas pumps and going inside, glass door was shattered, and there was a line for the bathroom. There are plenty of gas pumps here. The bathrooms are fairly clean. There's a dog park for the fur babies to relieve themselves. There weren't any dog poop bags in stock, so several people left their dog poop lying around, hence the four stars. I'm sure if they were stocked, people would still be lazy and leave the dog poop laying around anyways. read more

I got a new hat! There is something about going to Love's for a new hat, I can't find these cowboy hats anywhere else and they always have new designs. I think I'm up to 10 of them by now. They are Peter Grim hats and I love them. They have a second brand I really enjoy as well. That said, the staff was friendly, the store was super clean. We got prompt service as they had a few registers open. The outdoor area was spotless, and the trash bins were recently emptied so there weren't lingering urban tumbleweeds all over the lot. This is a somewhat small Love's; a stand alone stop without other gas stations nearby so it's usually quite busy, very busy on weekends, except late at night. Has full mobile and tech accessories and a great separate section with trucker/road gear including flashlights and emergency equipment. Has both UPS & USPS mail services. Has a full Subway and Godfather's pizza with full size booths to sit at. Expect long waits in the food lines and for gas, unless you come at later hours. Watch for the uninitiated disoriented road-trippers walking through parking lot aimlessly. Parking lot is small so it can be a bit of an obstacle course navigating pedestrians and other cars. Place is kinda sloppy feeling. Bathrooms aren't the cleanest or most updated Love's we've been too. Staff is polite and helpful! Nearby hokey gift store with Mexican blankets if you like that kind of tourist stuff. read more

So! My partner and I have been waiting to get our tire changed on our tractor. We were told that we had one person ahead of us and we were going to be next. "Just give us an hour ". 4 HOURS LATER!!! We are still sitting here in front of the bay doors watching the employees that work here take they're sweet ass time. They have two guys working and all they're doing is walking around with their thumb up there ass. Fat boy John ( that what we call him). This morning as I was traveling back home, my tire pressure light came on. I figured it was because of the cold air. (My car and I are used to warmer weather.) After filling up with gas, I chose to ask someone inside the little store if there was someone who could help me check my tire pressure. The gentleman behind the counter said, "of course," and directed me to drive behind the store to the shop. (A pleasant surprise) I did and someone came out and added air to all 4 tires. A real legit travel stop at the western edge of New Mexico. They have some epic windshield wipers and they're always stocked up on windshield water. No complaints really. I generally don't stop at Love's but prefer Pilot or Flying J. However, they offer a good selection of drinks, snacks, finger foods and other items as well. I've stopped here a few times over this past year taking trips from California to Texas. I came in today and filled up my tank, and went inside to buy a drink. I only keep my debit card and business debit on me for travel, as it allows me to get gas overnight when some gas stations close. I noticed one of my tires were low , and as I pulled up to the water/air station I noticed it was 1.50 in quarters only. I went inside and asked if they could turn the air on ( any place you spend money at can and will do this) and they said I had to pay for it. I just spent money at this establishment and they can't help me ensure my safety on the road by giving me compressed air, when I don't have the change to do so, all after spending 50 bucks... Long lines inside, one clerk , bathrooms weren't stocked very well either, but I wouldn't have hardly cared if it wasn't for the blatant disregard of my hard earned money just spent at their establishment. Don't stop here unless you have to. It's sub par to most Love's truck stops which are normally clean and bright. It's not dangerous; it's safe as far as truck stops go, but I don't think anyone cares. EVERY SINGLE TRASH CAN WAS FULL and had trash pouring out of filthy lids while employees were just working at normal speed with total indifference. I make a point to stop at Love's because of a horrible experience I had at a Pilot, as such I avoid all Pilot's and Flying J's. Every Love's I stop at is clean and very similarly organized and laid out. The bathrooms are always clean and the staff are always friendly. This location is not an acceptation to the rule. Amazing customer service at the Love's Travel Stop at 900 W Motel Drive, Lordsburg, NM. I stopped to help passengers on their way to Mexico who were stranded on a bus after their radiator hose busted at 2 hours before sunset. Fortunately, they had a replacement hose and only needed water. So, they gave me a 5 gallon jug and I drove to Loves for water. I took the jug to the tire shop and explained the situation to Ishmael who immediately offered to help. While filling the jug, I held the jug two feet from floor with one hand, while the other hand was on the water nozzle. The jug started to get heavy after 2 minutes. So, Ishmael squatted and put both hands under the jug the relieve some of the weight! I was impressed because this was not his job! I mentioned that they asked for 2 additional gallons. So, Ishmael GAVE me DRINKING water for the passengers (Imagine being on a hot bus for a few hours without AC). Then he carried the drinking water to my car while I carried the 5 gallon jug! Ishmael also offered to have water delivered to the bus for free if needed (16 miles from Loves)! They added the water but they needed more. So, they drove to Loves and arrived a few minutes after me. I introduced them to Ishmael and he directed them to park where their water hose would reach and I assume he helped them top off their radiator. I have never experienced this level of customer service and Ishmael's willingness to help showed tourists from another country that Americans have compassion for others. I am sure that they told their friends about the service they received at Loves after they reached their destination in Mexico. read more

This is your basic travel stop. A lot of pumps for multiple people getting gas at the same time. It has a lot of space to pull out if you do have a large truck or are pulling trailer, etc.. They have every snack and drink you could possibly want on a road trip...oh and bathrooms are clean! Nice stop. read more

I stopped going to this Loves over 2 years ago because of pumps that don't work, way too many panhandlers, a crappy driveway and parking lot that could pass for Swiss cheese with all the holes. This morning I made a mistake being preoccupied and having driven all night. I pulled into this Loves. After mumbling and chastising myself I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and pulled up to the outside pump I used to use ( not under the canopy). Imagine my surprise that the pump STILL doesn't accept cards after 2 years. " Please come inside" Yeah right. I got "inside" my vehicle and went to the Loves in Benson, AZ where I had my usual good experience. I spend A LOT of money every month at Loves ( still my favorite), Flying J and Pilot in SEVERAL states. ($491 just in the last two days) For whatever reason it seems that ALL the Loves in New Mexico SUCK I hit the Loves or Flying J in Anthony Texas at exit 0 then drive right thru New Mexico to Arizona always unless I have a brain fart like today. New Mexico's fuel prices are too high by comparison and its only about and hour and a half to cross that part of the state. The ones on I-40 aren't any better. Most are converted gas stations that in no way resemble a "travel center" Learn from Loves in Cedar City UT, Brigham UT, Post Falls, ID, Roseburg, Or to name a few or close this dump. read more

Too crowded and very dirty. The floor was disgusting. The eating area was worse. Flies everywhere and none of the tables were clean. The ladies room had trash all over the floor and needed a good mopping. There were a lot of outs in the cooler and a few on the sales floor. They also did not have unleaded gas which is disappointing for a gas station. The only good I can say for this location is that their customer service is impressive. Whether biketouring, staying in my hometown or out of CONUS, motoring, or travelling in general, my number one place to eat, if possible, is Subway. This 5-star eatery is always clean, excellent bathrooms, and staffed by superb, friendly, knowledge personnel. It is a very reliable source of essential nutrition, and, when part of the fantastic Love's Truck Stops, it also has a tremendous expanded market alongside. One thing I have counted upon is being able to buy the extra-large plastic cup, filling it to the brim with ice, along with a beverage of my choice (I only drink coffee in the morning, and my afternoon drink of preference in the afternoon is Mountain Dew). Regardless, my being able to repeatedly refill the cup with ice (which melts and becomes really cold water) is essential, especially during the hot Summer months. The Subs are extremely portable, another excellent feature when I pedal; those tasty sandwiches often become THE meal for me a long distance away.
