I have sent two children here, 8 years apart. I can't say enough positive things about Michelle the owner and the entire staff at Loving Touch. I truly feel like they love and care about the children they teach! It's a very clean space, with finger scan security entry, loving teachers... Just yesterday I was was in need of someone to watch my 6 year old ( who was a former student) for the day while I was at work. I reached out to Michelle, after hours on Friday of Labor Day weekend. I don't write reviews often. When I do they need to be meaningful. This school has surpassed all of my expectations. We heave had our son enrolled from six months to 13 months (the age he currently is). We tried a daycare prior to Loving Touch and I left crying every day. I leave Loving Touch with a smile knowing that my child and all of the other children are happy and well taken care of. There isn't a better feeling in the world for a working parent than trusting the place your child is and knowing that they are happy. Loving touch is friendly, loving, professional, and has a home feel. They ensure communication and education. A wonderful engaging environment. I cannot say enough great things about this school. We switched our son to LT last year after being unhappy with his previous school and haven't looked back. He loves it. The teachers are caring and attentive. On the occasion that he is clingy in the morning I'll get a photo or text letting me know that he was quickly engaged and happy. The owners and director are amazing. Any and every concern (I'm a bit of a helicopter mom) is taken seriously and addressed. My children have been part of the Loving Touch family for almost 3 years. Everyone - from the owners Michelle and Brian, to the director Erika, to the teachers - is hands-on and cares for these students as if they are their own. Michelle and Brian are at once professional and warm, and they are dedicated to providing a safe and fun environment (I love that they offer healthy meals, exercise classes and music classes!) I think it is rare to find owners who are as accessible and responsive as they are. Erika is equally fabulous. What I love most about her is that as director she manages the big picture, but is also intimately involved in the classrooms and cares deeply for each student. Her previous classroom experience lends itself well to her current position because she understands what the day-to-day entails and plans out a wonderful curriculum. She is smart, effective, fair, approachable, and communicative. Erika also leads a wonderful group of teachers. My children have had almost every one and they are all kind, compassionate and make learning fun. If you are looking for a school where you can leave your children and have peace of mind that they are well-cared-for in all aspects, Loving Touch is the place. I put my son in their "Summer Camp" program for just three weeks and all I can say is, NEVER AGAIN!! Just looking at the outside of the building you can tell it's not worth even HALF of the exorbitant amount they charge per month. It was the middle of summer and their decorative flags were still set for Autumn. There's very little care taken in the driveway or landscaping and it's clear that the upkeep is unimportant to the owners. Walk inside the building and it's just as you would expect from the outside appearance. It smells musty, is rather dark, even the decorations and posters on the walls you can tell haven't been updated in a long time. Unfortunately, I had very little options because my top choices were already full for the month of August, so I had to suck it up and register my son. I kept telling myself, "it's just three weeks" and "at least he's older and more self-sufficient". When I registered, I asked what payment method they preferred for the registration fee and I was told "whatever was best for me", so I wrote a check. When I went back to pay my son's tuition, I was told they "didn't take credit cards" when there was a card reader literally ON the desk I was sitting at. Fine. So, on his first day I asked about the biometric entrance system and if we would be able to open the door that way. The director tells me, "no, it's broken right now and I don't think they're going to fix it". This, of course, was another lie. Every day the other parents scanned their fingers and opened the door while I had to ring the doorbell and wait for someone to open it, often making me run late for work. I would have appreciated the truth, even if it was just that they were too lazy to add me to the lock system for three weeks. Three weeks cost us just shy of $900, which, from my experience, is insane for a child over the age of 3. This price included meals that my son said were disgusting and he is NOT a picky eater. I had to pack him snacks and lunches even though I already paid for all his snacks and meals because he said the food was gross. He's never had this experience with any hot lunch in any daycare, school or camp before. Then, there's the matter of the teachers. Not a single classroom had a teacher over the age of 20 in it. My son's class had two girls who were only 18 years old, and if I had to guess probably had no certification or licensure of any kind. Worst of all, the last week my husband went to pick up for the first time and they just let him in and let him take our son. They didn't ask for ID or check with me before releasing my son. Good thing we don't have any marital issues or custody agreements, but how would they know that? I never filled out any release paperwork for others to pick him up, and even if I did, shouldn't they check ID the first time they meet someone?? Thankfully, we survived the three weeks and I've already contacted schools for next August so that I never run into this problem again. There are other daycares and schools in the area that are both more affordable and overall safer for your children. I can personally highly recommend The Learning Experience in Rivervale and Bell's Little Learners in Westwood. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Loving Touch and the staff there, especially the owner Michelle and director Erika! My son has been there since he was 6 months old (now 18 months) and I never have to worry about his care. They not only help with his development, but he is actually loved and watched over in a way that I could never have expected from a daycare. Erika keeps me informed of any concerns, as well as of milestones, or simply to share a cute picture of the day! Loving Touch is an amazing place and I'm so happy I found them! As a working mother, it was important to me to find a place that would go that extra step with my child in providing not only a facility for care but also a nurturing environment. I could see I found the right place for my baby from the moment I went on the tour. The kids were all smiling, having fun and most importantly the staff were loving and caring. My son started there at 3 months old and is still very happily attending the nursery. My son is progressed appropriately, if not beyond, in his developmental skills and is making wonderful friends thanks to the great environment at LTNS. I HIGHLY recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a positive, nurturing environment for their child. read more

It upsets me very much to see such a negative review left based on a "summer camp" experience. First off, this is a nursery school/daycare. They don't specialize in summer camp, nor do they claim to. They offer a summer program that quite honestly is a great alternative to some of the pricier options out there. As far as the center goes, I have been sending my children there since my daughter is 18 months. My son graduated last year and my daughter who is now 5 will graduate this year. I had visited almost every daycare in the area before deciding to go with Loving Touch. I have always had a good experience there with the owner, and it has only improved since the new school director, Blythe was brought in. This is not a corporate facility where you're child is just a number. The children are cared for, nurtured and loved. And they are given a great foundation as they are prepared to go into Kindergarten. I have heard straight from Kindergarten teachers that the children coming out of Loving Touch are more than ready for the Kindergarten curriculum. If you want to choose a place based on it's appearance, that is your choice to make. Just because it may need some updating does not make it a terrible place! Not once ever have any of my children made a comment about how the school looks. They don't care! They just want to have fun! Of course a spankin brand new facility looks great, but what's more important to me is that my children are being cared for and they are happy! People are very quick to write a review based on a negative experience, but I am here to tell you I have been a very happy Loving Touch parent for the last 4 1/2 years and I have about 100 others right behind me. Reviews are important and I take to yelp a lot, but please do your own research. Take a visit to the school....they have an open door policy because they welcome you seeing the day to day operations. I love my Loving Touch Family and can't say how sad it will be knowing we won't be returning next September. read more

I love love love Loving Touch! My sons absolutely loved it there! We recently moved out of state and I am still in search of a daycare that is as amazing as Loving Touch! No other place amounts to their policies, cleanliness, and staff. Brooke is an amazing teacher and I always felt incredibly comfortable leaving my kids knowing she was there. Again all the teachers are amazing!!! My son loved going to school and since moving he cries going anywhere else. The classes are overcrowded, there's a lot of teenagers rotating through as staff, and my child seemed to be getting lost in the numbers

We had our son enrolled in A Loving Touch for several months. After touring many other schools in the area, we liked the feel of this school the best. The focus isn't on having iPads to document the day. The focus is on spending time with the babies/kids and engaging with them. I felt the management was good, any concerns I had were addressed with imminent attention with a caring focus. It isn't state of the art, and yes, those autumn flags were outside for the wrong season, but to us that isn't what matters. I'd rather their flags be off seAson and the children happy and safe. As far as cost, it wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive in the area. The most expensive ones didn't offer much difference when it came down to it. There was some staff changes while we were there, but I had asked to be kept informed of this and I was. The commenter above said there wasn't anyone over 18, and that's simply not true. There's a nice balance of ages if you ask me. The commenter above also mentioned something about the parking lot. If the space is rented, it is not a reflection on the owners of the school but rather the landlords. I'm not certain if they own or not, just making that point. It may not be their's to maintain. The security system was broken for a couple of weeks at first, but then it was fixed and the door wasn't ajar anytime I ever went there for drop off or pick up. I never write reviews; however, I am writing this one in response to the negative reviews I've read. For many years I was a teacher at Loving Touch Nursery School so I know first hand what goes on inside of the school. The outside of the school could definitely use a face lift; however, the learning inside of the classrooms is amazing! Many children graduated reading before they entered kindergarten. Parents have often commented on how loving and friendly the teachers were. The owners have always believed in a family environment. The owners go above and beyond because of their love for the children. I have watched the owners for years go to local markets to get the freshest vegetables and summer fruits. The owners do the cooking themselves because they believe in children eating well balanced healthy meals. I have even seen them wrap food and send it home with children because they love it so much. I have fond memories of Loving Touch. I am now a public school teacher and as an educator I know how important the first years of learning can be, that's why when I had a child I did not think of enrolling my child anywhere else. My child has graduated from Loving Touch and entered kindergarten well prepared and still continues to excel in school. I have no doubt that it is because of the strong foundation she received at Loving Touch. I will always cherish the years I taught at that wonderful school. Definitely worth a visit! read more

Everything 'Juliet' said in her comments is very true. Not only teenagers are used as teachers/staff, but most of the teachers and staff, including the older ones, have lot of attitude and act without courtesy. The director is the worst, she does not know that when you talk to someone, you need to face them at a minimum and not talk with your back to them. Secondly, she will brush aside anything you express as a concern, comes across as if she doesn't care for your concerns or needs at all. The owner is completely out of the loop on this problem at her school. Do a favor to your children and enroll them elsewhere. read more
