Please please please do not board your horses here. The board is "affordable" for a reason, it's a horrible environment and not well taken care of. People will steal your stuff, they won't feed and water your horses and on top of that they don't actually turn out your horses daily. Even though this is bare minimum things a barn should offer it even says on there website that they offer these. read more

I got asked to remove the photos so I did. Here's my review tho. Horses aren't cared for. They feed my 17.1HH horse 1 flake AM and PM. They don't do Waters or stalls. I paid full care and still had to provide my own hay so my horses would be fed. I'd set out supplements and feed for my horses the night before, and Skylar, a boarder, and the MAIN worker at the facility, couldn't do the bare minimum of opening a stall door and pushing in some hay and grain. Skylar also, stole 8 bales of alfalfa from me. But the cameras are "broken". Toni, the barn owner, threatens and gaslights you.. The Morgan owners steal hay, beat and whip their animals AND others. This facility is NOT safe. read more

Writing this review hasn't been easy for me, and it saddens me to have had such a negative experience. I'm sharing it in the hopes that it will encourage others to prioritize their animals' care and safety. As a former boarder, I'm sharing my experience to help others. The management and staff's behavior made my time here difficult. Horse care and safety were constant concerns - my horse nearly died from a 106° fever due to neglect on the staff's part. He was sick with obvious signs of distress and wasn't checked on; I wasn't notified until I found him in his stall at 3 pm with dirty water. This cost me just shy of over a thousand dollars in vet bills and 3 weeks off work to save his life, not to mention the emotional distress it caused both me and my equine friend. I've also experienced harassment, false accusations, and verbal abuse/blackmail from the barn owner, including a recent incident with a staffer who was under the influence, yelling and throwing things, and picking random yelling fights with boarders, although no physical harm was done. Given these issues, I'd strongly recommend exploring other boarding options. As another reviewer mentioned, the place has potential, but it's not with the current management. The only positive thing to note is the new person doing feedings, which has improved the horses' condition. I also want to share that the stable owner's behavior was not only neglectful but also discriminatory and invasive. As a trans person, I was subjected to transphobic comments and actions, including the use of my dead name. She would also share false and intimate information about me with other boarders, creating a hostile environment. Her behavior made me feel uncomfortable, disrespected, and unsafe. I deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, and I will not tolerate this kind of behavior. I'm sharing this to warn others and to promote a safer and more respectful environment for all. understanding and respect. I want to emphasize that I'm not looking for special treatment, just basic respect and kindness. I want to reiterate that I'm sharing this review with a heavy heart, and only because I hope it can help others avoid similar heartache. I really wish I could come on here and leave this stable a good review; however, our overall experience with the facility and staff has been negative. To note, We have been using this facility since November 2024 and are officially out as of April 2025. The facility is completely run down and needs a ton of updates. There are leaks in the roof above the arena so, when it's pouring rain there are huge pits of mud in several spots and its just unsafe to ride in. They do not harrow the arena, I've seen it harrowed once in the 6 months we were there. Half of the arena lights do not work which is a bummer in the winter when we would go out to ride and it was pitch black outside. There are almost no fully functional picks or shovels for the staff to use. Most are broken and make shift fixed for them to use. There's only 1 good wheelbarrow, all of the others only have 1 handle or literally fall apart when you move it. There are only 2 towable trailers for the quad. There used to be more but they have all fallen apart due to constant use. Some stall lights have stopped working which means you are cleaning your horses stall in the dark. We opted to clean our own stalls since we go out daily in the evenings but so many times we would get there and all of the working wheelbarrows and trailers were full because the staff left them as such. The dump site for shavings is up a hill and almost impossible to push a wheelbarrow up because of the mud but, we brought our own out there anyways so at least we would have something to use. There have been several complaints by multiple horse owners that stalls are not getting cleaned properly, horses are not being turned out, horses not getting their grain and supplements, etc. I've witnessed a few people leave the facility due to these issues of neglect, and we followed. We had to go out daily to feed our horses their grain because the staff, specifically Skylar & Cooper, were not doing it and we couldn't trust them to do it. The last month of our stay, I would take pictures of our horses halters when we would leave, then the next evening our halters were in the same exact position, neither of them were getting turned out. It's beyond infuriating that we couldn't trust this facility to care for our horses. To top it off, the amount of drama that takes place here due to the staff the owner decided to hire is insane. I've personally witnessed Skylar opt to not properly clean stalls because she had a grudge against the horse owners, and straight up laugh about it. I've also witnessed her scream at the top of her lungs at someone calling her out for not feeding their horses grain, which she absolutely was not doing. Myself and my entire family watched her evening after evening throw hay but never touch any horses grain buckets. The staff to horse/duty ratio is completely insufficient. There is currently 1 person cleaning all stalls and doing turn out, and there are over 20 horses. He is good at his job but he can't do everything by himself. Skylar is still onsite and doing some care, not sure exactly what to be honest but, as long as she is around things aren't being done and the facilities toxicity level is high. I have much more to say but, I will leave this here. My recommendation, do not board at this facility, stay far away. read more

We have been at Lovoi for 9 years now. The owner and staff are wonderful. We have 6 Morgan horses. Four of them have been shown and have won multiple championships in halter and performance classes throughout the PNW. They could not do this without the excellent care they receive. We have raised several foals while at Lovoi and are delighted with the care and conditions the owner and staff provide. read more

Having been there 5 years now with many Morgan show horses, I highly recommend Lovoi Stables. The owner and staff are reliable and responsive to the animals' welfare, concerns, and potential issues between the owners. While there have been a few disruptive individuals who have boarded with Toni, most of the boarders collaborate regarding the use if the facilities (especially during the winter months) and pitch in to help make them a more pleasant place to be for all. read more

I first met the owner of Lovoi Stables 3 months after I lost my only adult Child. I needed to be around Horses, as my Son and I used to have them when He was a little Boy and needed some horse therapy to help me with my grief. The Owner was gracious enough to make arrangements to let me visit one of the borders Horses every day. Needless to say a couple of months later I purchased a sweet Mare and Toni the Owner made sure she had a stall with a view! I have been at Lovoi for a little over a year now. When my Mare lost some weight, Toni was the one who approached me. If there ever is any problem, you can go to her and she will find a solution and fix the problem. There is a nice indoor arena, huge outdoor, round pen and many turnouts. What also is nice is there are grassy areas where you can lead your horse around to do some bonding while they eat grass. There are mainly Adults at the barn, so there are times where you can just relax with your baby without any noise! ;) The Eastern Oregon Hay is nice as well as the Alfalfa. Everyone pitches in at this barn also like during the Summer heat wave we just experienced! I would recommend Lovoi Stables! read more

Lavoi stables is a well run practical barn. I've boarded and worked at a number of stables in different states over the years. This one has the welfare of the horse as a priority more than any other place I've been. The stalls and water are clean, the horses get looked at every day and I get a call if something is wrong, the feeding schedule is consistent and healthy. The horses are brought in if it is raining hard or very hot outside. I interviewed and visited over 25 stables in the Portland metro area before I chose this one and I'm glad I did. As a bonus, the indoor and outdoor arenas are maintained so there is always a place to ride or train. Something that I've rarely seen anywhere else that is true here is that the paddocks are always clean - this means fewer flies during fly season. If you're thinking about boarding here, schedule a visit. Take a look at the condition of the horses. Look in the water buckets. Ask to see the hay that is fed to horses. Take a look at the riding areas and paddocks. Ask about an evening check on horses. Talk to the owner and people who work there then use with your experience when making a decision. I so rarely post reviews but the "experience" that the anonymous C J joined Yelp to post about flies in the face of my own and frankly reads like the rantings of someone with an axe to grind, so I can't in good conscience let it go unchallenged. Lovoi Stables is run by competent folks who in my experience do indeed care about and understand horses and riders. The trainers and owner bring decades of horse experience in a variety of disciplines to the table and are helpful and generous with their expertise. The barn owner/manager lives on site and walks the aisles often, including after hours and weekends, to do general wellness checks so owners and vets can be alerted of any potential issues, which for me pretty thoroughly disproves accusations of laziness or negligence. Anyone who knows horses understands how quickly seemingly minor illness can become catastrophic, so this is one of the things that makes me feel most comfortable boarding at this barn. I have personally seen and heard of several crises averted by this proactive approach and I think their safety record for a barn of 50 or so horses, from what I have seen over a couple of years and spoken about with other boarders, is pretty impressive. The bottom line is my horse is healthy and happy, which is the true measure of any boarding facility, and I would recommend this barn to a friend without hesitation. read more

Why can't you be an adult and tell the owner what is wrong with her facility to her face, because you can't! Why hide behind a computer and attack someone! You are a chicken when you can not talk face to face and tell her what is wrong and maybe help her fix the problem!!!!! So after saying that, Lovi Stables is a great and friendly place and there is nothing wrong with Lovi Stables!!! You are also attacking the help too saying that they are lazy too! Well I have news so you, No one is lazy at Lovi Stables!! Everyone works hard and puts in long hours to make sure the place is looking great and is safe for the boards and their horses!!! The help love all the horses like they own every single one! Lovi Stables is a great place to board you horse or taking lessons from the trainers!! For example, when a new horse comes into the a new boarding place it usually takes the horse days to settle in. But not at Lovi stables, it only takes hours for the horse to settle in! The reason for this is the atmosphere is not a stressful atmosphere! It is a very laid back one!! That is why the horses love LOVI STABLES!!!!! CJ have you ever ran a boarding facility? I bet you have not!!!! It is hard work to wrong a boarding facility! So saying the Owner is lazy you are so, so, so, wrong!!!! She does work hard! She puts in long hours to make sure that the facility is looking beautiful and is a safe and fun environment for everyone including the horses!!! You also speak about her advertising having nothing about lies in it, well you are wrong! Have you ever been out to see the facility? I bet you have not! The advertising is true! It is a great and friendly place to be!! Have you ever talked to the owner to find out that she was raised up with horse all her life, so making a statement that the Owner really doesn't know horses is completely wrong!!!! So to sum up everything LOVI STABLES is a great FUN and SAFE place to board your horses and to take lessons from instructors!!! So I give it a five stars! I've been out there since the beginning of the year and have had nothing but positive experiences. I adore the outdoor arena and the fact that I was able to ride in it during the winter because the draining is good. Also, my horse is happy, he started putting on weight the first week there.
