I'll share my experience and you Can decide what you think. I made an appointment to try and get…read moreADHD sorted out. My issue is mainly with unfair business practices and not disclosing prices up front. On my first appointment with the nurse practitioner, I was told that I would need to have bloodwork done and then schedule an in person visit with the psychiatrist to get the prescription. Then I would need to make an appointment with the nurse practitioner four weeks after that and I would need to visit with her every two months following. I had the bloodwork done that day then made the appointment with the psychiatrist as directed. At my appointment he called me by the wrong name. Then he spent 15 minutes rushing through reading to me a pre prepared page about the history of ADHD and such. Then he refused to prescribe me the prescription I had been on before and had asked for. Instead, he prescribed something else. I had never tried that medication so I was willing to try it to see if it worked for me. It did not. The side effects were horrid. He told me to schedule and appointment with the nurse practitioner in two weeks, not the four that I was originally told. I made the appointment and met with the nurse practitioner two weeks later to tell her the prescription didn't work. She recommended something else, I told her I couldn't afford it, and she said there was a generic version. Then the pharmacy informed me that the generic version was $400. No way I could afford that. I had literally just had the appointment with her so I sent her a message saying I couldn't afford it and I'd like to have the medication that actually works. She told me to message the psychiatrist directly. So I did. He told me to discuss it with the nurse practitioner in an appointment. So I sent her a message basically saying I wouldn't be making any more appointments. Okay here are the billing issues...insurance didn't cover the charges even though they said they accept my insurance. And they make you have a credit card on file. I paid $240 the first time, then $111 the second time. Then I got a statement for an additional $193. They charged me for the appointments and also the messages I sent. I called billing to dispute the charges. They didn't have a record of one of my payments and I had to find it on my credit card and give them the reference number. They said I'd owe $74 and I'd know something in two weeks. Then they charged my credit card for the $193 and changed the statement to include the "message charges" in the regular appointment charges. So now I'm out $534 for three appointments and I still don't have the right medication. As far as I can tell, they are in violation of the No Surprises Act stating that prices have to be published publicly so you know what you're getting into beforehand. I would not recommend this company at all.

Very happy with my new medication management here, it's leagues ahead of my last outpatient…read moreexperience (Laureate). I feel heard and cared for, plus I don't have to wait a week for my meds to be refilled!

Suffice to say it doesn't matter what you have to say as a patient they are going to do as they…read moredamn well please. On top of the copious amount of redundancies in paperwork and questions, from the pre screening calls to today's repeat paperwork. I made it abundantly clear to the woman at the front desk that I would prefer to be the patient who was spoken to about my results, not my husband. She acknowledged that with a yes ok. That clearly didn't sink in because as soon as I was brought back to the staging area I was then asked again if I wanted my husband to be communicated to and then heckled about it. Why is a polite no, no thank you just completely disregarded? At this point I gave up and said do whatever you want, you're going to anyway. The next alarming part was me being told I can wear my bra and shirt under my gown into an operating room! Like ok we no longer care about potential outside contaminates just because it's a colonoscopy? I'm frustrated because ultimately no one is listening and no one cares. To boot I explain my severe allergy a plethora of times only to be met with adhesives that I'm allergic to which I immediately removed. Then to be treated like a damn child by the doctor was the icing on the cake. I had adjusted the pillow the way I wanted it for me, but he just insisted on fixing it and then telling me "isn't that better". I did my level best to just be nice but behaviors like this made it very difficult for me to not just snap and walk out. Following the procedure I expected a brief note on findings NOPE! Those were only expressed to my husband, who coincidentally was asked about my previous procedures. Imagine my complete and total lack of surprise that he didn't know exactly what and when. If ONLY they had asked me, but perhaps since he's a man he knows more than I do about me and my care. I can also tell you they were not amused that I disconnected myself from the IV, and monitoring equipment got myself dressed and attempted to walk out. I mean really what else was I waiting for? I think if I had tried any harder to get to the door by myself the medical assistant would have shoved me into the chair to wheel me to the door. Thankfully this is over and I don't have to go back there. I have been reminded again that unless I'm carrying my own limb or bleeding out my eyeballs, I'm good and don't need the medical system.
