I had no idea that they recently had a food truck in Northgate, so I decided to check them out. TASTE: During my visit, I decided to opt for their Bulgogi Beef Fries, which I typically get at Asian fusion food trucks as a benchmark and since you technically can't go wrong with bulgogi beef fries in general. I had my share of these kind of fries from the west coast to those in Austin and Houston, so I had a good range of good and bad fries. I really liked these fries though, since they were my style. The fries were nicely firm but weren't oily. The bulgogi also had a nice texture and wasn't chewy like what I find at places with similar dishes. It also had the complete works like your spicy mayo and garnishes. One thing that I did notice about the fries was that it was nicely seasoned with some sort of spicy seasoning (?), which I don't recall seeing often in similar fries from other places. Long story short, great tasty bulgogi beef fries. SERVICE: It's a food truck in a food truck park, but the guy taking my order seemed cool. VALUE: Reasonably priced at around $8 and about the same as the other Asian fusion places that you find in the bigger cities and at restaurants in town with similar dishes like Nam Cafe. If this were open for lunch or more weekday evenings, I would have no qualms in making this a frequent spot. ATMOSPHERE: I visited around midnight for a late snack break on a Saturday night in the summer, but it was unfortunately surprisingly empty. But since it was spacious and well-lit with music blaring on the speakers, I think it would make a great atmosphere for a group of friends to eat and hang out. VERDICT: Overall, strong recommend from me. I want to go back to try their other foods. Only bummer is that they are only open on weekend evenings from Thursday to Saturday, so you have to catch them at the right time. Glad they have a food truck like this here in town, because I typically only get this taste when I head to the major cities in the state.

An awesome little food truck right outside the Zachry Engineering Building from 11 am to 2 pm!…read more While I've eaten here many times, I almost exclusively get the "Combo #3 Taco Plate" with steak (3 tacos with your choice of meat + lettuce + cheese). The flavor in the steak is unparalleled and the texture is very crispy! I haven't explored the other menu options but I can't imagine there's anything more glorious than the Taco Plate with steak (haha). The best time to go is probably around 1 pm when everyone is still in class so you miss the lunch "rush hour" (~10 min waiting time). If you go right at 12 pm, expect a 20-minute waiting time minimum! I will say it's a tad pricy (~$11 including tax) but you can use your dining dollars and it's a nice treat, especially after doing well on a test :). Additionally, the food is a little oily so make sure you're not wearing a suit or nice clothes, although they do have napkins. Lastly, there are usually plenty of seats in the quad area surrounding Zach. It can get hot in the summer, especially at noon, so be sure to bring a hat! Personally, my favorite time to go is in the Fall when the temperature drops and the breeze picks up: it's very wholesome sitting on the quad while a light zephyr keeps you company as you contemplate the meaning of life.

She complained to every person who ordered, so when you stood in line for 30 minutes, you got to hear it PLENTY of times. Really ruined the vibe. When we finally got our food (wait was long, but we are used to that with food trucks), I was seriously disappointed that instead of the beef I asked for in my nachos, I was given ground turkey. Not cool. That is something you definitely can't switch out and hope people don't notice. The nachos ended up having absolutely no flavor. Tacos were also very greasy. Food trucks on campus are a great idea, but I expect decent food for the price!

It is a trailer with a smoker in the back and food prep room in the front, flying the US and Texas flags. I tried the three meat plate with brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. For the sides, they were out of potato salad so I had the beans and coleslaw. The meats are clearly cooked low and slow because they fell apart with a spoon. The only real negative with the meat was that the rub was too salty. The sides were good, but the meats were better. The bbq sauce on the side was excellent, with a peppery flavor. As long as Norm's Smokewagon is in Bryan it's going to be playing second fiddle to Fargo's, but if Norm's sets up shop in College Station then it will be the best BBQ in CS. I want to try the other places that weren't open. It's a super kid friendly place and even dog friendly! There's a large variety of beverages including wine and beer and ice tea, etc. there were only 3 trucks open whenever we went which were Thai, tacos And BBQ. They have a stage for live music and are looking for musicians to play. They have two large televisions to watch sports. There's also several large handmade games like connect 4, corn hole, etc. Beware that apparently their hours vary but thankfully they were open whenever we went. It was fun being able to try all 3 of the food trucks and sample everything. Their one main problem to me are the flies so not sure how they can try to get rid of those. We might bring our bug zapper next time hahaha- that was the most annoying thing about eating here. Also, you can watch the train pass because of its location which kids enjoy. The prices of the taco stand are high for the amount of food you get: Didnt come with sides or anything and definitely wouldn't be full after one taco. I would suggest them to change that.
