We got married last weekend, and had "Lucy" shuttling guests to the venue, and used "Alice" as our getaway car. Planning was extremely easy with these guys, they were reliable and not only on-time but early! Of course, that didn't mean they were eager to leave ahead of time, it was all for the sake of preparedness. Alice, driven by Darvin, was magical. We experienced roads we've been on hundreds of times for the first time riding in her backseat. Darvin drove carefully and comfortably from John's Island to Downtown Charleston- about 45 minutes. The whole time we were enchanted by the starry sky, the breeze through our hair, and the era-appropriate jazz music playing through the radio. It truly was a cherry on top one of the greatest days of my life, and writing this review is the least I can do to remember it. While I didn't ride in the shuttle myself, it stuck out to me as unique and many of the guests appreciated both its convenience and the way it set the mood for the evening for our guests, allowing them to also meet one another before the event. Can't say enough good things about our experience with LowCountry Valet. Really hope we can find some reason to use their service again soon! read more

We booked two vintage buses for my daughter's wedding to be used as shuttles for our guests. Apparently one of the buses needed a mechanical overhaul, so they substituted it with a charter bus. I told them I didn't want two different kinds of buses b/c that wasn't what we paid for, but they refused to return the $950 deposit for the one vintage bus that wasn't having mechanical issues. We are going with a different company to have two matching trolleys, and LCV refuses to give us a refund despite the fact that they aren't giving us what we paid for. I would have loved to use this service for my wedding but unfortunately, due to COVID we had to make the very difficult decision to cancel our wedding- a lot of thought went into this and we did not feel comfortable moving forward as all of our family would be traveling from out of town (among several other reasons). Sadly, Low country valet was unwilling to allow us to use our $900 deposit for another, smaller vehicle. LCV was actually the only vendor that did not offer us a refund or a credit. We were hoping to use a smaller car for a photoshoot once things become safe (as our photographer is allowing us to use our deposit for a shorter shoot). Our reservation was cancelled immediately after our event planner inquired about cancellation policies, but all further communication required follow ups on my end. I was offered the standard refund policy- i.e. if someone else books my same bus, time and date, I can get a partial refund- this is in the contract and not a special consideration due to COVID. As I was adamant about finding a compromise, I was told upper management would give me a call about potential options, but I still have not heard anything. I know times are tough for small businesses right now, but I cannot fathom why they are unable to allow me to use the money I have already spent, in light of the current state of affairs. I even offered to cover the difference if booking a smaller vehicle would cost slightly more than my deposit; still no. If you are considering planning your wedding during COVID and are just keeping your fingers crossed things settle down, make sure you read the contract thoroughly- It is extremely unforgiving. EDIT: after several emails and phone calls with empty promises of receiving a call back- I finally got a return call after reaching out AGAIN. I was told that despite my venue being closed on my original wedding date, they are classified as an essential service, therefore they would have been able to run. Not sure how social distancing on a bus of 50 people would have worked but apparently that's discretionary. I was also told that since I tried to cancel too close to my wedding date (hello corona) they are unable to credit us. BOOO poor customer service! They should be ashamed of their business practices, especially dragging this out as long as they have without responding to a bride who is already dealing with the emotional impact of cancelling her wedding. Definitely would not recommend. Our family's destination wedding was not able to happen on March 21. Now that we are able to reschedule a wedding celebration in 2021, Lowcountry Valet wants to impose a 35% rescheduling fee, on top of the already Paid In Full contract of $550. We understand that we are not the only ones suffering, that these wedding vendors are also suffering and we are willing pay a reasonable rescheduling fee. Other vendors are requesting a 10-15% and we haven't had a problem paying those fees. We feel 35% is down right greedy of a business that is offering a 1 hour service, basically a photo prop service. We tried to negotiate and offered up to 20%, instead of the 35% and the owner, management and billing would not consider and refuses to even give us a reasonable refund for the services that were paid in full, but were never performed, due to Covid. I truly feel this company is inflating and taking advantage of their already paid customers and using this pandemic to their advantage. Put yourself in the shoes of all these families who have budgeted a 30-60K wedding or even more, that was forced to reschedule. A greedy company like Lowcountry Valet is forcing Covid couples to pay 35% more to reschedule it. If every wedding vendor was to impose a 35% rescheduling fee, that would be at least and extra 10.5k on a $30K wedding. Like I said we were willing to pay a more reasonable fee, compatible to all other wedding vendors and Lowcountry Valet refused to negotiate a reasonable fee or a partial refund. I am a true believer of Karma and I have no doubt the owners of this company will get more then the 35% worth of karma after not refunding the money they took without providing their services. read more

DO NOT USE THIS VENDOR... Similar to the other reviews around rescheduling weddings due to COVID, it seems they have gone into the business of trying to get as much money out of everyone impacted and needing to reschedule. My fiancé and I currently live in Australia which experienced severe restrictions and our international borders were closed for 18 months. This meant we could not reschedule our wedding within the 1 year deadline they gave us. I was not even able to travel home to be with my Mom who was diagnosed with cancer over this timeframe. While all our other vendors and our venue were understanding and accommodating of our unique circumstances, Lowcountry simply stopped responding and have now taken over $2,000 from us; we had to postpone our wedding only 4 weeks out so we unfortunately had paid them almost our entire contract costs and were planning to use them a lot over the wedding weekend. Nathan in particular was extremely cruel, giving us his lawyers number instead of having a simple conversation with us or even our wedding planner. He has completely tarnished what was supposed to be a happy day for us, and has essentially stolen our money for services they never provided even though we still planned on using them once we could reschedule. I wanted to share a glowing review because of the wonderful drivers & beautiful cars from this company, however 2 of the cars we ordered had mechanical issues. One was not a problem to switch. The vintage bus on the other hand was an issue since it broke down the day before the wedding. I ordered 2 vintage buses to pick up & return our guests for my daughter's wedding. When the day before the wedding, one of the buses had mechanical issues I asked Lowcountry Valet to send 1 vintage bus & 1 sprinter van to pick up my guests (filling the vintage bus before the sprinter to give my guests the full vintage experience). Instead they came with the vintage bus & one coach bus so 99% of our guests ended up on the coach bus instead of the vintage (which was practically empty). This completely ruined our vision for transportation to & from the wedding. I spoke with Nathan from Lowcountry explaining all of this after the wedding was over & all would refund was $500. To be clear, I paid $1,800 for each vintage bus ($3,600 total). When one had an issue the day before the wedding & I asked for a sprinter van ($440 both ways), the FAIR thing to do would be to refund me $1,360 since I didn't get what I paid for. Nathan told me that he didn't have to give back anything. Use your judgement... do you want to be left in a lurch for your wedding??? I wouldn't. read more

We used LowCountry Valet for our wedding transportation in April. They did a great job prior to the wedding in getting us situated with what we needed. I used them for a limo to the wedding and a getaway car after the wedding. The limo was probably unnecessary since the distance between the pick-up location was only 20 minutes away and we paid for a full-hour rental. However, the highlight of the night was the Pontiac GTO that I surprised my husband with. He LOVED it! The driver, Gary, was fabulous and went above and beyond to give us a great experience. I found Jeffrey Newton and Lowcountry Valet through an online search after reading some reviews. We weren't traveling far to my daughters venue but I wanted her to come and go in style. Setting up service with them could not have been easier. They also periodically touch base by email to re-confirm your reservation and respond very quickly to any questions (like can I put a just married sign on your car!). The cars showed up spot on time, they were immaculate and the drivers very professional. You do have to rent them for at least an hour, but the return driver waited at the hotel for the newlyweds to change after the ceremony and he drove them to the after party. We rented an 8 person stretch (immaculate) and the 1950 Dodge Meadowbrook (perfect getaway car). Having been stranded at other weddings when cars didn't show up I was in great appreciation of a company that functions seamlessly and delivers a great service. read more

First of all I do not give a poor review unless I first give a company a chance to rectify a problem. The company ignored my problem. I hired Low Country for November 4, 2017 to transfer our wedding group from a hotel in Mt. Pleasant to the Cruise Ship Terminal in Charleston for my wedding. We rented the executive bus. Transportation arrived as scheduled and the driver seemed professional enough. There was a mix up at the cruise terminal and we entered the wrong entrance and had to go back out and into a different gate which caused a big delay. I am not saying this was the driver fault as it could have simply been lack of communication between driver and port officials. The problem was that we were miserable. The air conditioner in the bus was not working and with 45 people on a bus it was too much to handle, you do not have the option in the cruise port to get off the bus and walk or I would have certainly done so even though it was my wedding day. I had paid to have a professional make up artist and stylist come to my hotel that morning to do hair and makeup for my special day. By the time we finally made it to where we were to get off the bus, I had sweated the make-up off, the hair was starting to fall and my friends and family were having to fan me to keep me from fainting. There was no time once we arrived at the port to reapply or fix the hair back so my wedding photos will always be a reminder of this bus nightmare with no air conditioner. It was an unusually hot November day. After paying almost 500.00 for a short one way trip the least I expected was a comfortable ride to the port. After people started complaining, the driver informed us the air conditioner was broke. I contacted Low Country after returning to express my disappointment and they said they would follow up with me shortly. I never heard anything back from the company. I emailed again to let them know I never heard anything but that email was also ignored. I am very disappointed. Things do happen but not to even follow back up is just poor service. Low Country may be an awesome company to use for vintage vehicles but if you are looking for an executive bus to transport a big group of people check your options in the area. read more

We couldn't have asked for a better get away car experience! Alex, our driver, was spectacular and let us talk about our night and didn't complain once when we talked his ear off. We had to reschedule our departure time at least three times and not once was there any repercussions or complaining from the company. We rented 2 buses and 1 of the buses left the event because a guest told them that she was ready to leave. The bus that left was responsible for 54 passengers!
