The first time I went into Lowell pawn was seven years ago I'm from NH and I was in a bind not only did the staff give me the money I needed they didn't sell my tools I pawned I ended up being late on my contract they called me to remind me and didn't hit me with late fees they are the most honest guys you will meet any other shop would have kept my tools and sold them they believe in building relationships that last for years no one asked me to give a review but I just think people should know if you need help or are looking to purchase usually tools still in there original box go see them I'm glad I did read more

Great deals on video games, instruments, jewelry, and all your usual pawn shop items. Well-lit, spacious, and well-organized with polite and helpful staff. We walked in not expecting to buy anything but the video games were cheap, cheap, cheap, so we picked up a few and an extra controller for our console and everything came out to $16. Not too shabby. I checked a bunch of the games to make sure nothing was dinged up and all of them were pristine, which was unexpectedly nice. Really nice selection of reasonably priced jewelry. I went here yesterday after my husband called them Thursday of last week inquiring about selling a gift card. On the phone they confirmed that would buy the gift card for 50 cents on the dollar. When I arrived I told him that I had a gift card and wanted to make sure that I would get 50%. I tried to explain to him that my husband had called them but before I could get a another word in he cut me off and said, "50 percent for that over priced store? Oh God no". I was quite taking back but thought I would go ahead and ask how much. He then told me 35%. I told him I thought that was little low but wanted to proceed with the transaction. He then told me that he really didn't want to buy the gift card because he didn't trust "People like me". I am an African American women and was appalled when he said that. He then went on the website to confirm the amount, the website wasn't working. I told him he could just call the number on the back of the card. He refused. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. The whole time I was in the store he was stand-offish and skeptical of me. I will never do business there. If you want to have your character questioned, be profiled and humiliated for absolutely no end result this would be the place to go. I have gone here many of times to see what they have.I have to say there was not to much to see..and when I did see or try to ask about some thing a very young boy that worked there??I have to geuss?? tried to push a sell on me--for more money them this item was worth.....So I theought I would try to sell a few things there since I am moving and who couldnt use extra money..Well that did not go good eather,,Was told I /the person at the desk//dont want it..have no use..Had a new lap top-I pad-few extra items...I did sell them on ebay...so I guess is that this place only wants to buy your gold and silver at there price....not good..went there to sell a gold neckless they gave me a price think it was $175.00 I was nice and said no thank you..went to cash for gold and sold my neckless for $315.00/////hum/// have to say go else where to get better prices......THIS shop is not like a real PAWN shop that will buy any thing worth money............... read more
