I recommend finding a different shop. This guy is a crook and a scam artist. Very rude to top it off. I was forced to pay $800 for a $200 loan on my personal rings. In those rings was a ring that cost me $6,000 to buy. He threatens he's going to keep your items if you don't come up with the money on time. And after all is said and done, he refuses to give you a receipt for your cash. The lease itself is the receipt. It had a regular white copy on top and the customers yellow copy on the bottom. I have been looking for a gold chain for my husband for quite some time. I saw this store, I thought I'd stop. Before I began looking, I asked him what the prices for chains started at so I had an idea of the price point, he evaded the question and just asked what I was looking to spend. When I finally got the starting price point, he allowed me look at a few chains. As I looked, he said that the price of gold had just gone up and if I decided to leave without the chain, he was going to change the price as soon as I left the store. There was a ton of pressure to buy, he even joked around and said, "the door is locked" I'm not letting you leave, we both laughed. The sales pressure was a red flag but against my better judgement , I did end up purchasing a chain and bracelet, totaling $3,200. The chain I purchased was 14k gold, weighing 17.2 g. Another jeweler had a 14k, 8.7 g chain for $1800. My chain alone was $2800. So as it turns out, the joke was on me because just a few days later I found out that he over charged me by more than a thousand dollars. When I called him with my concern, he told me that it was a final sale, - even though he made it clear that he was going to increase the price on the chain as soon as I left. I purchased Monday, wanted to return 4 days later and was told it wasn't an option. Complaints filed with Yelp and BBB. Charge dispute has also been initiated. read more

I saw their positive reviews on Google+. Was the highest rated pawn shop in the area. I brought in jewelry: an opera string of pearls, a pearl ring, a topaz ring, and some gold. I've had them appraised by a jeweler before, less than a year ago. I considered selling them to that jeweler and he gave me an offer for each item. I wasn't expecting this pawnbroker to match that value or even to come close to it. They are pawnbrokers, it's their job to lowball sellers. I placed my items on the counter, and without inspecting any of them, Alex, the pawnbroker, said that the value of the items did not add up to even half of what I had estimated. I called him on it, and asked how he could possibly know that if he had not inspected the stones. He was very fast to say that I had a citrine ring. I corrected him. Topaz. Vastly different prices there. He said "okay, topaz. It doesn't make a difference." Then he told me that he had been in the business for 18 years. I packed up my stuff ASAP and left. His 18 years haven't served him very well if he doesn't inspect stones before placing value on them. For all he knew, that could have been a diamond. He also rubbed my pearls against his teeth, which I know is common practice but disgusting nonetheless - anyone in the jewelry industry should be able to tell the difference between an authentic and fake without doing that. Now that I look closer at their Google+ reviews, I suspect they may be fake. Too many five star reviews given by people that have never written another review, and too many of the same grammar mistakes, as if they were written by the same person. End of story. read more

Don't do a loan here. Period. Worst rates I've seen in NH, I thought it was criminal but I looked it up. Most places will give you about 15-20% interest with a min charge of 15$ for 30 days. This place charges OVER 100%. Do not do loans here. The guy is also a total jerk. If you bring up the near criminal rate he tells you he has been in business for 18 years so clearly his way is the right way. Yeah sure, you can leach blood off people and survive for a long time. I suspect the Google reviews are paid for or entirely fake. Maybe you may have a good experience buying here, but certainly not selling or pawning. Avoid. read more

I called first and asked if they bought jewelry. Not just pawn it.I got an immediate, yes come in and he hung up. I walked in a half an hour later and placed my diamond ring on the counter. Without even looking at it the owner said it was junk. I said that I have an appraisal describing the color, cut, clarity and carat of all the stones. He then decided to "educate me" on how an appraisal is a scam by the insurance companies. I explained that I wasn't looking for anything close to the $3200 appraisal. Just a few hundred bucks. He told me that he could make it himself for that price, so why would he buy mine. He seems to enjoy talking down to people. I will never go back. read more

I'm only giving a 3 star rating because I didn't manage to sell the product I had there. However, this is one of the nicest pawn shops I've been to. Lots of top of the line and fine jewelry and products. Alex was very knowledgable and fun to talk to. He does come off a little intimidating considering he carries a gun on his hip, and I don't know if that's great for business, but in that line of work I can see how it's a good detterent for would be theives. Contrary to other reviews, staff is not friendly at all. I walked in to a man yelling at a woman. When he got to me, he would not listen to me. He kept insisting I had a very old model iPad, when in fact I have the latest version, with cellular capabilities. If you're not interested in a particular product, that's one thing. But at least listen and know what your products you are dealing with are. He was very rude and this kind of person and establishment is what gives pawn shops a bad name. read more

Very good place to go for fine jewelry and pawn. I sold my diamond ring there and got fairly paid. The owner Alex was very polite and helpful. Besides they carry a lot of different good things from jewelry to musical instruments.
