My elderly mother needed a trust. She paid $3,000 for the trust up front. She had a one hour…read moremeeting with them with me present, so I witnessed everything. Trusts are complicated and my mom isn't an attorney so she relied on them to give her solid advice and she told them what she wanted. The meeting was about an hour and it was with the owner of the firm and one of his associate attorneys who was female. By the time it was time for my mom to sign the trust a couple of weeks later, it was not what she expected. I was in the room and expressed my concern at the outcome. There was a big problem with the trust that was not explained to her beforehand. She asked for it to be fixed and this is when the female attorney started blaming us for wasting her time. She didn't use those exact words, but she blamed us for the mistake, which seemed odd because it was something they should have warned us about or explained to us. She was making it all our fault and then saying she didn't have time to fix it. She had another client right after us. The trust would have to be completely redone and this time it wasn't a packaged deal...meaning more than $3,000....lots more. My mom was very upset by this and I was trying to help by pointing out the issues but the attorney kept interrupting her and I and the next thing you know, she's yelling at both of us. At this point, we asked if we could just meet with the Mr. Dallara himself but she said that wasn't a possibility at all and she was offended by what we wanted...because it was clear we did not find her professional at all. That's when it went completely off the rails. More yelling and turning the tables on us. By the end of all this, my mom is very very upset, and she gets up to leave and I go to get her walker and by that time this attorney is telling us she doesn't want us as a client anyways. I literally had to hold up my hand to motion for her to stop yelling at us as we were leaving the room. How completely rude! My mother is elderly and disabled and this was completely unprofessional. If something is not done right, you should fix it. You should not be blaming people who don't even understand the law...that's what the lawyer is for! We were not unreasonable. We were not rude to her. Both of us were shocked by the treatment we received. She's simply not the type of person who likes to be wrong and she was and was embarrassed by it and make it OUR fault instead. [Even though this review is in my hand, my mother has read and approved what I've said. She has a broken hand from falling the other day and cannot type on a computer. I was also a witness to everything that happened. ]

They misread my disability case, treated the fact that I am trans as the problem, and actually told me I needed to "detransition" and discontinue hormones. That is an appalling thing to say to anyone, let alone someone seeking help with disability. Instead of careful advocacy, they gave me bias, lazy reading of my records, and cruel dismissiveness. Sensitive information was taken out of context and turned against me. Rather than helping, they judged me, degraded me, and acted like I was not worth the effort. Telling a disabled adult to "just go find a job" is not advocacy. It is contempt. I left feeling humiliated, dismissed, and worse off than when I came in. No one seeking thoughtful help, especially anyone who is trans or has a complex disability case, should trust this group with something this important.

I emailed her on three different occasions to find out how much I owed and to make it right. She never one time, not one time ever did she respond to my emails. I even questioned her in email as to why she is not getting back to me when I am ready to settle this judgment. Nothing! So, fine. I went about my life as usual. Then low and behold today, I am informed by my banking institution that she levied my checking account, savings account, and stock accounts. She now has placed me in a horrible situation of having no access to my cash, what little I had. She submitted this levy by all rights, she can do this. But would not it have been better had she returned my emails months ago and we not have to go down this path of a bank levy. Would it not have been easier on her to accept my money, six months ago than to fill out the paperwork for the levy and then not even get all the money the judgment needs in order to settle the account? I don't know of her rationale, but whatever it is, it's counter-productive. What's the point anymore in the life of trying to do the right thing when people like this law group turn around and still do as they want to do. Does anyone on this planet have compassion anymore for their brother? I mean it would be different had I not reached out. But I did, and I did several times - she ignored me and went direct to levy. This is why attorneys get bad reputations, she matches the stereotype to the perfect picture. So before you hire this firm, you need to know the ugly. They are ruthless and lack any sort of compassion, and they don't return emails. Buyer beware!

From day one of hiring Mr. Esquibias to handle a trust dispute for us, he presented himself as an…read morearrogant, money hungry prick. He immediately asked for a retainer and started charging to our account without fully understanding our primary objective. Each one of the hearings he arranged through the past 2 years resulted in absolutely no progress. After repeatedly questioning the effectiveness of his strategy, we discovered he was heading in the opposite direction from which we had discussed with him. It turned out that there was something that he could have implemented early on in our case that would have saved us a lot of money and frustration but, he chose not to do it. I think the embarrassment of us calling him out on his incompetence made him very contentious because he asked for immediate payment of our outstanding balance or else he would stop representing us. We severed ties with him the very next day. Early on in our tenure with him he told us our case was a "Slam Dunk" but after it dragged on, he just wanted it to go away. I guess our case was small potatoes to a big shot lawyer like him, yet he devised a game plan that would extract over $40K from us, without recovering one cent from the trust for us. Do yourself a favor and stay clear from this piece of crap lawyer, he is bad news and will bleed you dry.
