This store has the Worst customer service!! Not one person is helpful . Even managers won't help

Just been to the Lowes at 3500 NM-528. I went to buy a shelving rack. It is very heavy and there is a sign on isle 29 which says 'do not try to load this on your own, we will load it for you.' So I went to the returns/customer service desk (?). I ask for someone to be sent to isle 29 to help me. No one came. 15 minutes went by and I can hear over the loudspeaker the lady trying to get someone to help, now the robot was asking. Over and over again. Employees walk by me without a word. I finally got a a cart on my own. I managed to load it on. I am 67 years old and it wasn't easy. Then as I roll it to the front, I can hear the lady asking for someone to help me. As I passed her I waved and said I did it myself. I get to the self-service kiosk and the lady in front of me asked for more bags as they ran out and guy, monitor just shrugged his shoulders at her. I got up there and told him I need someone to help me load this into my car. I left to pull my car up and the guy they sent me was older than me and crippled and was using a cane! I just loaded it myself. why do they have a sign that said don't load it on your own and then endup having to load it anyway? Horrible service won't go there again. read more

I had the absolute worst experience with Joe from customer service. I got a quart of paint there the day before and it was mixed as the wrong color. I was annoyed but mistakes happen. I wanted a gallon to be able to fix my wall for free since it was their mistake. The most got was 25% off the gallon being lied to that no manager was there in the middle of a Saturday and the he was the only person there is could take to while there was 2 other men standing right next to him. When I gave him my phone number I started with the area code he then yelled at me was that the area code before I could even finish the phone number. At the end when I was checking out we had to the manager to approve the 25%. She was very dismissive and could not care less. read more

Really poor customer service. I'm a woman who needed to buy paint ( I don't know anything about paint??) their associate at the paint counter was angry that I didn't have the answers she was asking me for and told me "I'm not a paint specialist" ??? Well girl we are at the paint desk lol. I asked her for guidance and she pointed to the counter and told me to read it. Then she turned her back and walked away. As I was walking out of the store she was discussing this matter loudly with other customers and coworkers. So they won't let you pay for delivery of an item that is on sale. They also don't have trucks to rent at this location. It was a screen door. So we had to pay someone to come pick it up and bring to us. The problem is the Screen Door was marked down because it had a flaw and the measurements weren't right. It had been returned by someone for that reason, but they failed to let us know that. So after all that and taking our old patio screen door off and installing (well trying to install) the door was too short even with the extenders it had. The box measurements would have worked if it had been right. So now we have a screen door we can't return and unhelpful staff. Now Home Depot offers free delivery and guess where we will buy our stuff from now on. After being loyal Lowes customers for years, you really messed us up and failed to help us. We were willing to pay the $79 fee to deliver but you said no. read more

Lowe's has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. They missed appointments, dragged their feet for weeks, and failed to deliver my windows anywhere near the contracted date. The job was finished 45 days late, and the "refund" they offered for wasting that much of my time was laughable at best. If you value your time, money, or sanity, look elsewhere. So wife sends me in for more wood sealer. I could save 17.23 if I buy in bulk. So I ask paint associate how many is bulk? He quickly scanned the bar code, responded "I don't know" then turned & walked away. I took the below picture went to customer service, he scanned it, then responded he didn't know. I asked who does? He said i don't know. I said how about getting a manager. He responded she is real busy but I will let her know. 15 min later She came out helped other customers then walked away. I ask was that the manager, he responded "yes, you will have to go over to self checkout to catch her". THAT IS HORRIBLE customer service. I then had to chase her down & I started explaining to her my issue other guy stepped up (not introducing himself at all) took over the situation. At least he was able to figure out what the bulk amount was (after 20 min). Very sad only one person in the whole store could answer a simple question. I will not step foot in this store again. service was the worst I have ever had at this store. I had ordered 41 #460669 Jaxon pavers and 104#460668 pavers @ 3:11pm on Friday the 11th. I finally just canceled my order @2:39pm on the 13th, and ordered from The Rio Rancho Location on Northern. So almost 48hrs and still no pavers. NOT GOOD Rio Rancho is my store now even though its further away. Very disappointed. I we are busy but if I would have got the order from here my project would be done. I ordered the same order in Rio and had it with in 4 hours and then ordered another bath had them with in 3 hours the same the 13th read more

Never ordering anything from this Location again. I made an appointment to have some pavers and equipment delivered weeks in advance and they never came. I called the store 5 times and was hung up on twice. The final time I called, I was told a manager would be calling me back at 7pm. I have yet to receive any call. Now I have no pavers and I'm out 700$. Several different workers gave me the run around today, one guy I talked to a few times actually seemed very amused that I was not happy with my absent delivery. I have a very busy schedule due to work and I needed to get these patios done today. Do not order from this location, I have ordered from other Lowes in the city and all my deliveries have come on time and customer service has been great. DO NOT BUY EXPENSIVE STUFF HERE! I ordered over 20K in cabinets from this store. Many came damaged- like 16/18 had to be sent back. This meant no kitchen for a month longer than planned and when the second order came they were damaged as well- about 1/3 this time. I needed my kitchen so I let them know I would want a refund but had to install the operable ones and move forward. They suggested coming to see them. Fine. But they were totally unwilling to come when it was convenient for me. Several times I tried to set it up but they seemed unable to hear that I had missed work for every bad delivery and pick up and couldn't miss more. Nope. Now they just won't respond. There is no corporate number so no responsibility at all for selling crappy expensive products. They will not stand by what they sell. Period. Buy elsewhere! read more

Thieves get Treated Better! Lionel the Store Manager was NO Help! This location is the worst! I am a disabled widowed woman that is constantly shopping at Lowe's or Home Depot for something I need for my home. I always feel bad about the amount of theft I've seen while shopping. I went in to this location to return doorknobs I bought last fall. I bought 3 packs only used 2 packs and misplaced my receipt. It didn't show up on my debit because I changed banks. I was going to be ok with store credit even at the lowest possible price but I wasn't given that option. The person working returns was not friendly or nice and told me they hadn't sold those doorknobs since 2001 which was a blatant lie! Did she think I stole them ? I have the Lowe's app, I zapped the barcode and it shows them in stock at their store! She called the supervisor Lionel who said no to store credit there was nothing he could do! I never have a problem at Home Depot because I get all my digital receipts sent to my email but Lowes does not always give me that option. This location is the worst ! I will take my business to the 12th Street location where they always provide outstanding customer service! read more

We ordered a $2,900.00 stove from Lowes and it never got delivered after 3 promised delivery dates. When we first ordered we were given a delivery date of the next Saturday 8-12. They never showed up nor did they bother to call. We had our old one hauled away hours before we were supposed to have received the new one. We called Lowes up and they said okay we'll deliver it the next Wednesday, again 8-12. They didn't show up again!! We called them and found out it was not even in the state of NM. They then said they would deliver the next Saturday, guess when? 8-12. It never happened. So now we were without a stove for over a week. We talked to customer service who said management would get back to us - no one ever bothered to call. We then called Best Buy and asked if they would match the price, as there was a special going on, and they said yes - they delivered within 2 days, free delivery and they showed up on time. The people with customer service, got the business. It will absolutely be the last time we attempt to buy an appliance from Lowes. read more

Since 2017 we had the same filter in our master cool without any replacemen. My nephew who works for lowes helped me out and found the correct filter not through Lowe's but through another compan. We couldn't get service like this from Lowe's and m nephew who works for Lowe's went above and beyond for me and other customers. We've gone to this Lowe's several times, for simple things, like purchasing Christmas trees, or parts evaporative coolers, plumbing, etc. This is my favorite Lowe's. Sometimes it can be difficult to find someone to help you, but that's always due to their being busy. You just must wait your turn. I will return to this Lowe's, often. read more

Employees that were working were completely overwhelmed. There was only one cashier and garden center with about a 45 minute wait to checkout. We proceeded to the front to try to check out where zero checkout lines were available only self checkout lanes open. The associate helping at the self checkout was again overwhelmed and not extremely helpful. Aisles were so cluttered that we were unable to maneuver the basket through them due to boxes that have not been uncrated. Lots of employees chatting and standing around. read more

One day we came home and our mail box was on the ground. We checked our ring cameras and saw that a Lowe's truck backed into our mailbox and pulled it out of the ground. With the concrete pad that the mail box was bolted to. I called and a case was initiated. Almost two months later nothing has been resolved. We emailed the video footage to the store manager ( as instructed) who confirmed the receipt. Since then I called customer service several times and every time I was assured somebody will call me to resolve the case and nobody has called. read more

We went in last Sunday and decided to purchase a new grill and a wooden picnic table. We were told they would be delivered on Monday the next day. Monday we hear from the delivery folks that it will be Tuesday. On Tuesday we were told that the assembler called in sick so our items aren't ready to be delivered. On Wednesday we were told that there is no way anyone set it up for Tuesday, that's impossible. It'll be here Friday. I call to speak w someone and Jessica the head cashier says she has her manager here and I have been refunded 25% of the cost of the grill, 135 bucks or so, and I can come show my id and get the cash. On Friday I get a call that the grill and table won't be here until Saturday. I am fed up and go to the store to get my money back on the whole thing. I am tired of being lied to by this point. I get there and first ask for my money that is supposed to be left here for me for my refund. I stand at the customer service desk for no less than 20 mins waiting for a manager who had a key to the safe to show up to get my money for me. While waiting I decide I'll just eat the time I have lost, and will just see when it's supposed to get to me on Saturday now, since the guy I talked to on the phone told me that he wouldn't know until after 3 what time the delivery would be here on Saturday and it was 3:30 or so. Got my money for the refund, then the mgr said that he couldn't tell me what time they would be here today (Saturday). Being lied to once again angered me so I told them to just give my money back and forget it. Problem is, the wife and I had split the purchase on two different cards. She and her card weren't w me so I was screwed there. Ok, bring me the items on Saturday then. I get a text this am from a delivery driver w pics of the picnic table asking me if I am ok w the bent boards. If course I'm not, who would be? I call the store and he says that's the "best table available" and if we don't want a crappy table well have to wait until Tuesday. Another lie I am sure. So now here we are on Saturday, waiting for the grill and a crooked effed up table to show up. We are hoping the table isn't bad (couldn't really tell from the pics the delivery guy sent) and we can just take it and be done. If it is bad we will have to decide what to do then. Here's the thing. All they had to do was tell us it'd be a week until we got it. The lies every employee I came into contact with there are unacceptable on every level and I will never spend another dime at this disorganized, dishonest organization filled with moronic liars and idiots who can't do one single thing correctly. It's embarrassing how bad they have been at EVERY opportunity they had to correct the stupid situation they created. Tried to return a can light at Lowes. I didn't have the Credit Card receipt and was fine with a store credit. They refused to take back the new in box light as it was a "High Thief" item. I ask, "do you think I stole this? Check my credit card that you always look things up on or my lowes.com account. I do thousands of dollars of business with you". Talked to the store assistant manager who was rude and when had my husband send his credit card number to see if we had charged it on his card, the Assistant Manager wouldn't even look that up. He told me to go home and bring the card back in person. Manager Nat Hernandez and Lowes Corporate just lost my business. Home Depot is more than willing to assist me in my purchases. During the pandemic, I've had need of many different odd sundries from Lowe's, so I've been doing the curbside pickup to limit my interaction with foks. I've never had a problem with the orders, always got exactly what I was after. On arrival, the call in procedure was quick and easy, just a phone call and a few minutes later somebody came out with my order and loaded it on the truck. Great experience, and very much appreciate the easy curbside pickup. read more

Poor customer service by staff and management regarding a return I was misinformed that I had 90 days when it turns out it was 30. No exceptions to their policies despite the mistake being initiated by one of their employees. I will not be giving Lowe's my business anymore. I have other choices to shop at stores who put their customers before policy and who can make exceptions especially during Covid times. Wow - unbelievably fabulous service! Our refrigerator got fried with a lightning strike to our backyard. Went to Best Buy first - they have what we want in a warehouse and can schedule delivery in a week or so. Went here - got helped by Angel (so well named!). They had what we wanted and so told our story to the delivery scheduler and he took pity on us. We were the first delivery the next morning. Refrigerator is running and getting cold and we're happy. Lowe's is my favorite home improvement warehouse. The workers always are polite and willing to help you. It's usually never crowded either. My last trip to Lowe's I ordered some tile for my bathroom on their website for a pickup in store. Two hours later I received a email saying it was ready to be picked up. It was fast and easy. I didn't have to go looking for it in the store. They had it ready at the customer service desk for me to pick up when I got there. They also had the cheapest price on the tile than other home improvement store in the area. read more

Hired Lowes to install $9,500 worth of Pella windows. Within months, three of the windows began to leak. Lowes' contractor and Lowes came out several times to look at the windows but did not properly fix them. The water travelled inside my walls and leaked out my sliding door and my bathroom window in addition to the original windows. There was a 37% moisture reading above the kitchen window. After Lowes closed the case, I sent additional pictures and did not receive a reply. I was not expecting to have to make an additional financial outlay to pay for replacement of my Pella windows. So far, I have replaced 6 of the 13 windows and none of them had proper flashing on them when they were installed originally by Lowes' contractor. Thanks so much, Lowes, for wasting my life's savings and ruining my home. I wouldn't even give you one star. read more

I wanted to replace my kitchen sinks, and thought it would be practical to go through Lowe's. Big mistake. A plumber came and measured, sent the store the measurements, and I went and picked out sinks according to what they had sent. Lowes did not take those measurements into consideration at all, and when the plumbers came to install the sinks, they did not fit. So I wasted an entire afternoon. Now, I have to wait for someone to come and trim the countertop so that the sinks can fit. This is going to delay me I don't know how many days. All because of Lowe's incompetence. After 4 calls to Lowes, 3500 NM528, Rio Rancho for information on swamp coolers finally gave up. Calls transferred several times, kept on hold only to be diconnected again. Told the calls have a timer and the system disconnects customers - and, they have no control over the system. Sounds to me a better system is needed. When I finally thought a Manager was going to be helpful - call disconnected again. Fifth call to obtain the info provided by the Manager only to find that they did not do what they said they would. This is my favorite Lowe's to visit for the garden center, it's the best one in town hands down! It's massive and they have a large selection of plants. If you are a plant lover like me you want to check out this Lowe's. I knocked 2 stars because the few times I've been they are not enforcing that customers wear a mask even though it's been mandated for the state of New Mexico, so I found that to be very disappointing. Zero brains, Arrived at store to pick up flowers. There are racks outside garden area doors. Pick up two we liked and while wearing a mask headed for the doors. There was one employee sitting in a chair outside the doors and the only other person around was 12 feet away standing by the register (employee). Zero others around. I headed for the register and was promptly yelled at and told "exit only" by now having walked the 12 feet I was standing at the register. The employee at the register folded her arms and said I had to walk through the entire store to be checked out. So, in order to be safer, I had to get closer to more people, enter an inside area just to return to the exact place I was standing. Refused to ring me up, still no other people anywhere in sight ( I had not cut a line,etc). Figured they don't want my business, then I don't want to give them my money. We purchased a shed online and called to be sure it would be ready when we picked it up. After being reassured everything was good we show up that evening with a terrible plot twist. They could find our order, once they did it was still on the shelf, turned out it was damaged and once we went to finalize the purchase it was declined because of some issue with their bank, not the card. After all this we decided to go to a different Lowes, similar issues. We finally got our shed but this greatly reduced my likeliness of going back to lowes. I did call customer service after all this and was given a 10% gift card. read more

This is the second vinyl fence install I've had done for my patio and both times, the process has been unorganized, frustrating and difficult to deal with. I'm left with the impression that Lowe's caters to "big jobs" , so people with "small jobs" like mine ($1,854.34 + $1,234.28) are placed at the bottom of the priority list. To ME, $3,088.62 isn't that small but that's a separate issue. Here's some details: A Lowe's Project Specialist visited my property for an evaluation on February 15th. So, I signed a Contract on the 18th. Next, $1,234.28 worth of materials were purchased on the same day by the Project Specialist with my credit card. Today is March 6th and the Installation has not been completed. The reasons are: "we can't find materials for your job" and "somebody didn't pick up the materials for your job". After a visit to Customer Service at the store, I was told by a Manager, " we understand your frustration and someone will be in contact soon". At this point, I am just hopeful that this project gets completed. I do not enjoy giving negative reviews like this but this is what I experienced. My recommendation to customer's is that they review all other options before going through Lowe's home install. read more
