I was most disappointed to learn Lowe's in Billings does not allow the military discount on appliances. We needed an electric dryer in a most desperate way. We also found that Lowe's was having a sale on appliances and the sale ended the next day. We did some research, found a couple brands and model numbers before we went to Lowe's, which is an hour drive one way. Good thing we did our research. They had two GE models we were interested in. The one we wanted wasn't in stock but the one with lesser features was. I found the salesman obnoxious in that he wasn't listening to us. He did everything to sell us a matching washing machine which we didn't need. He offered a delivery service which would add to the cost but we needed the machine TODAY and an added cost to remove the old machine in addition to the cost of the vent and cord. AND, he did sell us an extended warranty. Even with the extended warranty (which isn't a very good warranty) and the items to connect the dryer, we did save a little money. read more

I bought a barbecue on a Wednesday and I was promised delivery on a Friday between 10 AM and 10 PM, does that sound ridiculous. So my barbecue did not show up and I called the store and it's an automated answering machine. They tell me they rescheduled my barbecue. By the way, I'm less than a mile away from the store and I don't have a truck. So now I have to wait another week because they don't have enough people to do deliveries, but one day a week. So their lack of planning and personnel puts me on the bottom list of priorities. They had no problem taking my money, but getting me my product is impossible. And delivery isn't cheap for 1 mile away. Super disappointed in Lowe's I guess that's why Home Depot across the street is always packed. read more

Don't get your carpet from Lowe's! We had carpet installed from Lowe's on Feb. 21st. Stainmaster carpet by Mohawk. The landing kept coming up. They redid it and it still coming up. Then we vacuumed the carpet. Still well within 30 days of the original install date and the carpet started coming apart. Lowe's said sorry. Manufactured warranty now. Installers came out and took pictures. Agreed that it was a defect. Month and half later and Lowe's said Mohawk wants a sample. They already had pictures. So I'm supposed to cut a hole in the middle of my living room and mail it in to Mohawk! Lowe's says they can't patch it because they only do complete installations not patches. Stay away from Lowe's...there are a lot of options out there without shopping Lowe's. They refuse to stand behind there product. read more

If you are carrying out they are fine. Buy a fridge and get delivered? Forget it. Had to get it shipped in from Denver so had to wait a week and half. Will deliver 5/27 in the afternoon. They show up and delivery says it won't fit thru the doors. Take it back. Make two trips to Billings to get this fixed. Manager tells me they'll bring it back. 5/29 they will deliver. Wait around all afternoon call to find out status and someone changed to 6/6. Called the manager on duty and soonest they will deliver is this Saturday 5/31. read more

This store in Billings here and especially the service has gone totally in the toilet!!! I own a construction business and I spend tens of thousands of dollars a year at this Billings store. I just took an item back with a receipt for $39.. nothing wrong with the item just didn't need it... the lady at the return desk told me that it was too long beyond their return policy of 90 days... I looked at the receipt and in fact it was 8 days past the 90 days... I have taken things back in the past beyond 9 months so you could see my disbelief... after trying to work with her and suggested even a store credit she denied it. It was on a Sunday so no one was in commercial sales as they are the people I am use to dealing with... so I suggested to talk the manager... he was even more rude to me explaining a policy that has been in place for years... I explained again it was 8 days beyond their return policy 90 day policy... he stood ridged and said no return or store credit... I no longer will take my services to Lowe's... and over looking the fact that people in their departments had very little knowledge in the industry... go across the street to Home Depot. I've been with Lowes since they built it in the 80,s.... Very sad... read more

Approximately three weeks ago, I purchased some garden center products...topsoil, bricks, pavers. Michael Cotharn loaded everything into my vehicle quickly and efficiently. Lowe's has consistently deteriorated in its product quality and store service. This is the new Kmart of stores. I avoid it when I can.

I am so disgusted with Lowe's. Would never do business with them again... bought an expensive dishwasher.. installer came... said we needed a plumber and suggested we should have them install it for us after we already paid Lowe's... paid a plumber 300 dollars.... Installer came ... never used it until today... won't start... called Lowe's took no responsibility... we now have to schedule another service repair... almost a month with no dishwasher and still nothing! read more

The countertop specialist first could not find countertops that were supposedly in stock (I'm not sure how countertops go missing from inventory), then sold us incorrect countertops for our kitchen layout, and finally tried to sell us damaged countertops. we returned all of of our countertops and if it's in our power, we will not be shopping at Billings Lowes again. read more

I had a very unsatisfactory experience with the flooring department. I went in and chose a vinyl floor covering. I asked the associate what is the charge for install, he stated that it was 2.79 a sq. foot. Seems very reasonable, we estimated the final cost to be approximately $900. Scheduled a measurement, they arrived measured. I got a call 2 days later from a representative very nice person, though English is not her best language. The cost of the purchase and install now had ballooned to $3,000! Tried to get a satisfactory explanation but was not able. I went to the store to follow up on the order, the apathy and lack of any interest on behalf of the associate was stunning. No satisfactory answer could be given for the huge increase in cost, other than 'that is not my job'. The lack of concern for my time being wasted and ultimately his companies time wasted did not bother this man in the least. I canceled the order. If you own stock in this company sell it, if you are a manager in this store you should been concerned at the quality of the service your employees give. If you are a customer you will be better served going to Carpet Garage I was much better served and appreciated at that business. read more

Okay so let's start the story of me and Lowe's. I ordered a dryer from them and when I ordered it I asked them to deliver it after 4:00 on Wednesday because I work the salesman told me oh yes this will happen. While I was at work I get a call from the delivery man. Who does not work for Lowe's who is a contract worker for Lowe's and he said I had a window from 9:00 to 3:00. After much trials and tribulations I was able to change my delivery date to Saturday and I was elated because being without a dryer is kind of a drag. They deliver the dryer on a Saturday which I am happy about. Then the delivery crew tried to charge me extra money to take away the old dryer because it didn't show on their manifest. I have to produce my receipt to prove to them that I had already paid for the removal of the old dryer. The one fellow was very friendly. The other fellow was not but that did not matter. I watch them hook up my dryer and since I am not an electrician or no very little about appliance hookup the man explained to me he was going to do this with the cord. After they left I sent a picture to my BF and he told me that they had not put on a dryer restraint clamp for the cord. It means that the court is basically just dangling free and being held in by the screws. Then he went on to tell me how that was not up to code and what kind of clown ship did this. And then he said if you put your hand behind that dryer you're going to get shocked. They also left the plate off the back of it and the delivery crew said he couldn't put it on. I don't know anything about this stuff so I believed him. I tried to call Lowe's and it's been no one you can't get a hold of no one there you might as well just shoot yourself in the foot because you cannot get any response. I did call corporate office and I was given a case number and told that somebody from the local store will follow up with me in 24 hours which is a crock ... I've heard nothing from the local store I cannot get a hold of anybody at the local store. You know you better know what they're doing when they hook this stuff up because I didn't. Now I'm left with a dryer that has exposed wires. read more

No stars! I do not recommend the Billings MT Lowe's. I purchased 2 high-end toilets with installation. I scheduled installations three times and each time the installation was canceled at the last minute after taking off of work with no pay. I tried to resolve the situation each time the installation was canceled by calling the store manager. But, the store manager never even show me any professional courtesy by calling me back. I called back and talked to the store customer service personnel that insured me that the manager did receive my messages to call me about my problems with the installation. I'm sure everybody gets my frustration about taking time off of work and not even receiving the courtesy notice of a cancellation on the day the installation was scheduled. So they were a no-show one day and then other days it was less than two hours notice that they were canceling the installation. So my recommendation is not to buy anything from the Billing store that requires installation. I'm guessing I'm not the only person that would be frustrated for not getting their project done and foregoing their pay for three days because of the inconsiderate response from Lowe's. In the end after three attempts to get my toilets installed, I canceled my order. read more

I'm not sure what's with all these bad reviews...I've never had issues here, finding an employee, getting what I needed, etc. I read one where someone waited for 20 minutes to find an employee...haha. I bet in those 20 minutes, you could have found what you were looking for, all by yourself. Anyways, this place is great, if you're not expecting to be waited on hand-and-foot. It IS a do-it-yourself store, people... If you can't handle shopping by yourself, maybe home improvement isn't for you. read more

We bought a washer and dryer from Lowes, and the warranty. Our dryer was not drying in a timely manner and at times our washer was leaking. I called the number on our warranty paper and asked if they could come look at it. I called around Sept 25th or so to put a service order in. They had to put on two different orders and they could not get them in on the same day. The earliest they could get here would be Oct 24th for the dryer and Oct 31st for the washer. The time frame they said was between 8 & 5. We tried to call the company they had scheduled, but had no contact info. Calling the company also had not results to talk to a human to explain we had both a washer and dryer to fix. I thought I would contact Lowes direct and went down to the store. The only thing they could do for me was give me a paper with the service number on it. Calling it also produced no results. So NIW I have to rake two days out of my schedule and sit waiting for repair. Now today we get a text saying they would be here on Oct 12 between 8 & 5. Then we get a call saying they can't be here on the 12 and had to change it to Oct 18. The company they called is based in Nashua MT but they said they have a guy in Billings. I guess we will see what happens. So now I am thinking that the dryer will be serviced by one company and the washer by as mother one. This is ridiculous that both appts could not occur on day. VERY DISAPPOINTED with Lowes Service center. read more

We purchased a new fridge in early Feb. Delivery date was 2-15-22. Delivery guys installed new fridge and left. We found out the fridge door doesn't seal completely at the top and called multiple times and couldn't get anyone in appliances to answer. Finally went in and spoke to a guy named Shawn who said he would get a managers approval for the repair or a new fridge asap that day and call us back. No call. Called back 2 days later and spoke to a gal named Holland. Explained the situation again.... She also said she would call us back the following day (cause that day was Sunday) after getting approval to order us a new door. Still haven't gotten a call back from her. I'm loosing faith in Lowes. We wanted to support them over the other local stores with our new appliance purchases but I'm not sure I'll ever be back. I even purchased the extended warranty too. I ordered a 4-wheeler trailer with two accessories to be shipped to my home. Two of the three items arrived at my house and then I began receiving text notices that the 3rd item was ready for pickup....I was like huh because shouldn't this be shipped to the same address as the other items? I called the store and they said it was there. I asked that it be shipped to my home address like the other items and the said yes, but their home deliveries was busy for 2+ weeks out. I asked to be priority because I had already waited 3 weeks and it wasn't my error to ship to the Lowe's store. They said 2 weeks, or I can come and get it. I guess I'll waste my gas and time for an hour and twenty minutes? I would give them a negative star if I could. No offer of a discount for my time or inconvenience. Went into LOWES yesterday to order a large part for our cooktop range. Saw 8 or 9 employees not wearing masks, 3 of them didn't even have them with them. fully 25% of the customers were without any face coverings whatsoever. The State MANDATES everyone is to wear masks. I believe the store was over the allowed capacity. The management had no one checking the mask requirements at the doors. I may well file a formal complaint with the Yellowstone County Health Department; maybe if they got shut down for a week, they might take this a little more seriously! First off the store in Billings is the worst experience I've ever had at a store. The young female manager of lawn and garden that was working Monday said she couldn't find us in the computer told us that she could call customer service and it would probably be a hour or so wait time or we could call them. Talked to customer service over the phone and they didn't know why she couldn't or wouldn't help us. My guess is cause she was to stressed out due to being short staff. (I've been in management and know how being short staffed is) I get it but don't stop or refuse to help the customers. We didn't get what we came for. We went back today got the two items which was a nightmare in itself. We was about to load one item then was told that we had to go inside to get the other item. The lady (Jenn) helping us is the only one there that has any common sense. She helped us first at customer service and she had no trouble find us in the computer imagine that then she helped find the other item but had to wait 10-15 minutes due to no one coming to help as she called multiple times. Lowe's need to train the staff better. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because of Jenn. Thank you so much to her!!!! read more

Seems like the store has a walk past every customer policy, I have yet to be approached and asked if I need help no matter how long I stand there obviously in need of assistance. Cashier sat back and explained how much he didnt want to work in between groaning about his inability to read my "scribbles" on the plastic nut and bold bag. He caught some sizes were wrong, laughed and told me but never offered to get someone to help me so I left their products at the cashier stand. When will I learn to stop spending money on that ambivalent, lazy company. read more

Over the past two years the service at lowes has suffered greatly. This used to be our go to place. Not any more. The employees are made up of mostly smart asses who could care less that you need help. Yesterday we went there for paint and stood at the counter for a little over 15 mins. We had asked twice that someone be sent to mix the paint. No one came. We finally left the store after stopping by the service desk to tell them that no one came and we were going across the street. They did not seem surprised and just nodded. I sure wish we'd get a Menards, I'd never go to either Lowes or HD again. I hate that place. read more

Lowe's customer service is HORRIBLE! It's near impossible to find someone to help you in almost every department! (There are some exceptions which I will list later). There have been times when I have been standing in the department waiting forever, so I actually call Lowe's and ask them to send somebody back to whatever department I'm in to help me. Half the time when the person gets there they tell me they don't work in that department so are unable to answer most of my questions. I highly recommend Ace Hardware over Lowes any day. Ace Hardware actually sends their employees to yearly conferences to learn more about their department and keep up on trends. Back to Lowe's, the exceptions are Justin who is the manager in the lumber department. Can't remember his name so forgive the description but the tall guy with one arm who works in plumbing is very knowledgeable and friendly. And there always seems to be somebody in the power tools department. Michelle and the guy with the longer dark hair in flooring both know their stuff pretty darn well. The only complaint here is I'm pretty sure that they get commission on installs that they set up because if you're just buying product they're helpful that but the minute you mentioned that you want to have it installed it becomes a sales pitch. The customer service counter is a hit and miss, flip a coin and you might get lucky enough to talk to somebody who knows something. read more

I couldn't find the item I had found online so I asked a cashier for help. They paged. I waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, a man came, asking if I "really needed help because he was helping someone else".... um. No, I guess I don't need help, I just enjoy jerking with cashiers and hanging out at Lowe's at 8:45. Horrible service. Ordered some tile trim to complete a major project two weeks ago. Ordered in store at the flooring desk and was told I could pick it up today. I decided to call to see if my order was in rather than driving the 35 miles one way just to find out. I called and transferred to the flooring desk. A gal answered and took my phone number to look it and put the phone down on the counter. I listened to her answer other phones and take other peoples numbers and look up their orders and deal with customers ordering items there. After 25 minutes I hung up the phone. I called the service desk they looked up my order (2 minutes) and said it was on the way to the store and they wouldn't have another truck in until Monday. So, way off on the date and no guarantee when it is going to come in. Guess I'll go across the street although I don't expect it to be much better. These big corporations don't seem to care about customer service. Try to help out local and this is what ya get. Guess I'll order online for most things now too. read more

If lower stars could be given I would. Sean the manager is a lying dirtbag who targets seniors. He has his staff trained to cover him . Ordered a simple refrigerator on November 30th and paid for it and delivery charge and by December 30th credit card had been charged that and an extra $130. No refrigerator yet. Call every week when the scheduled delivery came and went. it will be there following Monday. February 7th we realized this was a sham and tried to cancel. the order had been canceled and was no longer in the system they said, no one could even find it in the system. Took one entire week with corporate for them to call foul on this fool And get a refund. Then another to get the warranty canceled. This is being on the phone several hours a day. We spent massive bucks at Lowes and loved them until this experience. Never again lows. I advertised for you before and I will double it now!! read more

I had to have a dishwasher replaced due to a defect. I was still within 1 year under the manufacturers warranty. Since I live rural and there's no techs in the area the manufacturer opted to replace the dishwasher. Billings Lowes delivered it this morning, and picked up the defective dishwasher. Very nice delivery man, no complaints there. Here's my problem: No one ever told me to remove the cord from the old dishwasher. So now I have a new dishwasher and no electrical cord to plug it in. Phone call #1, called the store, spoke with appliance department and was told if you come in to get the cord we'll give you one at no cost. (I live 1 1/2 hours out of town and there's a foot of blowing snow). Phone call #2, called national Lowes number, she says you need to talk to manufacturer, they are supposed to mail you a cord in this situation. Phone call #3, called manufacturer, "we can't mail you a cord, it was supposed to come from the store with the new unit when it was delivered. Phone call #4, called customer service department at the store. Was told basically that that's not true and I have to purchase a new cord. When I said that's not what the three people before her told me and asked if Lowes (Billings store) could mail me a cord she basically said no, we don't normally do that and it'll probably take 4-5 days just to process. Sigh....so now I've got to go online and order a cord and pay shipping and wait another week I'm sure to hook up my dishwasher. Not a fun experience! read more

Dealing with Lowes in Billings has been a nightmare. They have the worst customer service and no one knows how to do anything or call back. We ordered two pieces of kitchen appliances online. One was supposed to be delivered at the beginning of Feb and the other end of Feb. When we called at the beginning of Feb to find out delivery date everyone we talked to had no idea what was going on. They kept saying end of month and we advised them no it was supposed to be that week. Talked to the same guy multiple times and each time he did not know. Asked to speak with manager and left multiple messages and never a call back or she was out of office. Finally it got delivered but only after we called everyday for almost two weeks with never a call back. Then today the other piece was supposed to be delivered. Called the store after not receiving a call telling me what time. They said no idea and that they have new computers. Finally someone called me back saying it was an error in their system and it would not be in till end of week. Seriously?? What kind of company never calls their customers back and no one knows how to work a computer. I will never buy anything from these guys again. read more
