I purchased a refrigerator online that was giving a $500.00 discount. When I went to the store to look at it they said there is no discount, so I bought it as I have been without a refrigerator for 4 months due to backorder. When I got home that night I once again looked it up online and indeed the discount was there so I purchased that one too since it was to be delivered the next day, Ashley from the Bluffton store called to tell me that I had two orders so she cancels the one that does not have the discount and they will not follow thru with the discount as promised online. I have spoken to the customer service everyone puts me on hold and never addresses the problem. read more

Despite all the bad reviews, I decided to order composite decking, BIG MISTAKE! I placed the order 3 weeks prior to requested delivery time, Monday of this week, and was told that I will be called in the morning to confirm the time of delivery. I had a contractor scheduled to start the work the next day and I shuffled my work and medical appointments schedule to be at home during installation. Not hearing anything by 10 AM, I called the store and was told "it was out for delivery". With nothing happening, I called back around 5, and following endless "press # so and so for so and so", I was finally able to reach the operator, who then transferred me to "management", whatever that is. After several holds, I was told that it was now to be delivered first thing next day, no explanation, no apology. The next day came, nothing, then more calls, more holds, more transfers, more excuses: missed the first delivery, will go after lunch, the order was "pulled", but cannot be located, the flatbed truck is broke, will deliver for sure next day, etc. On Wednesday afternoon I went to the store in person. Everyone at the contractor's desk was busy starring at their computers, but finally I got "yah, can I help you?" The associate then went back to check on it, came back after 20 minutes and seemed not to recognize me. I was finally told that yes, the order was "pulled", and that I was going to get it first thing next day, Thursday. I received a call on Thursday telling me that a part of the order could not be delivered, the computer showed plenty in stock, but nobody could find it, no idea how long it would take for the store to get the missing stock. I said "deliver what you have this morning, backorder the rest", it was delivered at 11:30. Will I be updated on delivery of the balance? I am not holding my breath... read more

My husband has been here countless times and asked where something was, only to be told by an employee that they didn't carry that item. Thereafter my husband walks through the store to look for it himself and eventually finds the item. I've never met more incompetent employees that don't care about their job at all. No one knows anything...everyone shoves you to the next person that also knows nothing. You sit on hold for forever. Literally everything from appliances, to shipping to customer service to even the guys who 'install' aren't professional nor are they helpful. I've spent thousands of dollars here at this location just hoping I can have one order just go smoothly without any hiccups and it never fails...there's always a hiccup. I ordered 190 retaining wall blocks on line this week. Lowe's showed up with only 156 and the driver had no clue on what Lowe's does with a back order. I tried to call 10's of times and no one at the store will answer. I then went to the store the next day and spoke to a couple of people at CS and they had absolutely no answers after waiting for 30 minutes. I left my phone number, but no call. Lowe's then sent me an email stating that 190 blocks would be delivered the day before.LOL...then Lowe's sent another email stating that 190 blocks would be delivered today, but nothing showed up. DONT BUY A WARRANTY FROM LOWES!!!! We have always had a great experience shopping at this Lowes. We have purchased over $20,000 dollars at this store since moving to SC in the last year. Within that are warranties attached to several items we purchased. The warranty department is where they have extrañe problems. We are trying to get someone out to fix our refrigerator, which is under warranty. They told us they were over booked and don't have anyone that can come out. Then they said they would call us back in 3 days with a solution. After 5 days and no return phone call we called and they said the earliest would be end of May, more than a month away!! Customers are obviously not a priority to them! It was useless to buy a Warranty if they don't live up to their side of the deal. The worst customer service, logistics, and operations. We could have bought a warranty through the manufacturer or third party companies, but we trusted Lowes and hoped they would be reputable. They are anything but! Had to purchase a new refrigerator due to a builder error and after going to virtually every Bluffton area store that sold appliances, we thrilled with Lowes. Spoke to multiple people during the day and all of them were experts. Pricing and inventory was clearly the best in the area. No reason to go anywhere else in future. read more

Went to Lowe's looking to buy a Black & Decker weed eater. Found the one I wanted, but the boxes were up high and out of reach. Spent 5 minutes searching for an employee, but to no avail. Found some portable steps and rolled them over, but the boxes were still out of reach. Searched for someone again before finally giving up and going to the customer service desk. They paged someone, so I went back over to the aisle I was in and waited. And waited. For a good 10 minutes. While I was waiting, I looked up the weed eater on Amazon.com. It was $30 cheaper. I wouldn't have minded spending the extra amount at Lowe's, if the customer service had been on-par. As it was, I got tired of waiting, and ironically ended up buying it on Amazon using Lowe's in-store wi-fi connection. With the addition of a few accessories, I ended up getting the whole lot for less than what I would have paid for the weed eater alone at Lowe's. Before I walked out of the store after making my online purchase, I did pick up a pack of light bulbs, and discovered at the register that that's where all the employees were! Hanging around the register area talking about 10 minute breaks and who's next to go to lunch. There had to be at least 8 people standing around up there, which is 8 more than I saw in any other area of the store. You'd never experience this at The Home Depot in Bluffton, that's for sure. read more

This Lowe's store in Bluffton, SC is a nightmare! We purchased a washer/dryer combo with pedestals . . . the outsourced delivery team was rude, unhelpful and clearly not happy with their job. They did a half-assed installation job and we ended up with an inoperable pedestal drawer. Service guy came out who also could not get the drawer to work and said he would submit a request for a replacement drawer. It is now 1 month later since his visit and we have driven to the store three times, attempting to check on the status with customer service and the appliance dept. personnel. Have spoken with "corporate" twice who said they talked with someone in the appliance dept. who would take care of it, spoke with a night manager 2 days ago who said he would order it and call me the next morning . . . nothing! Just called the store again and after 2 unsuccessful calls, got through to an appliance dept. rep who says she will have a mgr call tonight! We will never visit Lowe's again, anywhere! Lowe's in Bluffton has the worst customer service department I have ever experienced! Beware of Victoria! Oh Victoria, what a BAD ATTITUTE!!! I have spent $10's of thousands of dollars in that store this year alone! The final straw with her happened today. I was confused as to how long ago I bought a certain $300 Delta faucet. However, The plumber just installed it 2 days ago. The faucet had very poor water flow. So, needless to say, I had to exchange it. She called me a LIAR OUT LOUD IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS! This was because it was purchased months earlier than I thought it was. I totally lost track of time, since I bought SO MANY PRODUCTS, INCLUDING FAUCETS, FROM LOWE'S ALL THIS YEAR AND LAST YEAR! Then when I said to her don't you call me a liar, i was mistaken, she said , you are a liar , out loud! " I will call you a LIAR, YOU ALWAYS LIE EVERYTIME YOU COME IN HERE!!!" In front of 3 or 4 customers she did this!!! Some of those customer went up to management and told them how she mistreated me, immediately following this incident! Ordered a refrigerator to be delivered to my home. I was told they'd call the day before with a 2hour window for delivery. No one called, so I called them to check the day before. They told me they wouldn't know what time they were delivering until that day (I work and needed to know when to take off.) The girl I talked to acted completely dis-interested and wouldn't help me any further. They called at 9am the day of delivery to let me know they'd be there between noon and 5pm. I told them it was supposed to be a 2-hour window and they said they had no way of knowing if it would be closer to noon or 5. I asked if they could call when they were leaving their previous install (I only work a few min from my house) so I could meet them, and they said no. So I had to take a half day off of work. Under the category of "why I order on-line when possible"; I just left the Lowes on Malphrus Road. I was going in for Kreg screws for my Kreg jig. The first guy never heard of it, and really didn't seem interested to even look. The second guy sent me to row 64 and when I told him it wasn't there he said; "must be out". The third person I asked looked at me like I had two heads. Folks, this is a Kreg tool, if you haven't heard of it you shouldn't be working in a hardware store. Had a delivery scheduled for 4-6. No show ... no call. Tried to call but no one ever answers "Delivery Line" .... just goes back to main menu on phone tree. Texted in to help line the person texted back and said the manager would call me .... never did. If considering having Lowes redo your Kitchen, think again. Although the sales department John Mark Fitte was very helpful, patient and kind, the problem was with the installer Edward Sala, EMS Construction.The small project become a circus of errors that took 6 1/2 months before completion. Poor measuring by Ed resulted in wrong ordering and reordering. Kitchen drawers alone were ordered 3 times. Ed installed drawers and a cabinet that were the wrong sizes supposing we would not notice. He cared more about getting more money for his work than seeing that we had the job done correctly. Over 6 months he displayed a complaining, grumpy attitude, at one point throwing things around the kitchen. He took no responsibility for his poor project work and damage to cabinets during installation but blamed the salesman and even the owners for all the errors. We were shocked that Lowes has continued with this installer. When finally finished, he drove away without a word. Advice: Do not use Ed Sala as an installer. read more

I purchased a new refrigerator and opted to have it delivered. It was going to be three weeks before it could be delivered but I opted to go ahead and have it deliver even though my current refrigerator had stopped working. We cleaned out the old one and got rid of it in preparation for the arrival of the new one. It was to be delivered on Sunday March 11, 2018. I was called on the previous Friday March 9th to confirm delivery for Sunday. They called the contact number I left which was my cel number. I told them we'll be here waiting for them on Sunday. Sunday comes and goes, no delivery, no calls, NO NOTHING. Tried NUMEROUS TIMES to call delivery dept. at Bluffton, SC Lowe's were I bought it from and no answer. Tried calling for a manager of that OPEN store that day and was hung up on THREE times before ever reaching a manager. T-H-R-E-E TIMES- just hung up!!!!! I have wrist a formal complaint to consumer affairs and better business bureau. This store has NO BUSINESS Being in business. Obviously has no proper management in place and NO ONE SHOULD BE SHOPPING HERE.! IN FACT IM SURE if all the shop lifters got together and hit this store- NO ONE WOULD EVER BE CAUGHT. There are very few employees in the store that I encountered that gave a damn about their jobs. Ironically the only one that seemed to give a damn was the appliance sales person who ordered the refrigerator for me. But when I got to the front of the store had to fight tooth and nail for 30 minutes with the cashier about the FREE ice maker that comes with the refrigerator that I purchased. The store system was wanting to charge me $50 extra for it when there was a promotion that included it with the purchase. Like I said - 30 minutes later when they finally confirmed it was free with purchase, I was finally out the door. But no manager was available to solve the problem, no one. Probably the worst customer service ever. Last week we purchased a grill to be assembled and delivered on Tuesday of this week. Today we called to see the status of the delivery and were told that there is no delivery scheduled for us today. As a matter of fact, we were not even on the schedule, it was "anticipated "delivery date. We tried calling the store and were told that the person who would deal with this was not in. We called back and after waiting 15 minutes on hold were put through to a manager. The manager sent us to another person when we asked to have the whole order canceled, without an apology or even a comment. After sitting on hold for five minutes waiting for the next person, my husband drove down to Lowe's cancel the entire order, and we are now purchasing a new grill at home depot. We just purchased a large new home, and we have a lot of purchasing to be done. We will not be purchasing at Lowe's in Bluffton. read more

DO NOT allow Lowe's to install your tiling. Our recent tiling job took 5 days and 3 return visits to correct the project that was scheduled for 2-days. Did not complete work they were paid to do. There were numerous tiles that had no mortar under them. They left mortar on cabinets, walls and floor molding. The installers stole tools, food and drinks. Denied it until I call the sheriff's department and they found them "mistakenly" mixed in with their tools. They left garbage, cigarette butts and pieces of tile outside the house. They cleaned their tools and equipment and threw the water into our landscaping. Lowe's did very little to rectify the issue. They gave us a $400 credit on a $2000 installation project (tiling was another $1,000), but I had to repair the modeling and install new wood siding on the cabinets and refinish them. Oh yeah, I bought the materials for this and not at a discount. We also had to pay a person to be there the entire time the installers were there since we are out of town and this is our vacation home. Being a vacation home, I spent nearly the whole week I was there fixing Lowe's crap. I hope and pray an executive from Lowe's contacts us for pictures, text and email correspondence. The local managers feel they "did everything they could" to help resolve the issue. Here's the bad news. I ordered chairs online twice and both times lowes didn't come thru. the chairs never arrived. The good news is that when I went to pick them up, Cherry in customer service went the extra mile to get my order sorted out and arranged for chairs to be delivered from another store. Horrible experience with flooring install. The installers Lowes sent installed my flooring incorrectly. Lowes refuses to fix it and wants to charge me to replace the flooring which stated it had a ''lifetime'' guarantee. They don't return phone calls. Like others said, this should be a zero. Waited all day yesterday for a delivery of a fridge. Had to call to get my two hour window (12-2). When I called again at 2, because no delivery, was told they had mistyped my number into their system and when the driver called, got no answer, and skipped my delivery. I was assured this was not acceptable practice, that they are to attempt to deliver even with no answer on the call. The store associate Russ said he has no way to get in touch with their drivers. This turned out to be untrue, was later told the drivers just don't answer them. Russ said he would try and to call back around 3:30 because that's when he was getting off. Sure enough, no delivery. Called back and was told the delivery would be made that day and the driver had my number and would call. No call. No delivery. Now, I sit again today waiting for this delivery. Called the store at 6:30am to be given a window of 9-11. I was assured that I was the first delivery because of the fiasco yesterday. At 10, with still no delivery, I called the store... only to be told the driver hadn't left yet because "it took a while to load the truck." Fingers crossed the fridge arrives before the 9-11 window ends in 25 minutes. read more
