Today's Veterans Day. No ONE Associate Spoke or asked if I needed assistance. Had planned to buy a $3500 refrigerator. I did pick up a few other items. There were three cashiers at sperate checkout stations. Two turned their service lights off & were just talking to one another. The other was servicing our four customer deep line. I checked out using my registered military retirement verication. No greeting, smile or thank you for your service. I bought a oven/microwave combo, dishwasher and stove top. Purchased a warranty on all of them. After installation tried tonset the clock on the microwave and the unit blew out. Lowes does not handle this. Must go thru Frigidaire. Frigidaire had Sloan Appliance come out. Parts ordered were wrong. 3rd time they replaced the ui board, control board and PC board. Claimed no power to the unit. My electrician came out. Replaced the whip and the pigtail. Unit is getting power but still doesn't work. Called Frigidaire again. They scheduled for their tech to come out. I get a text canceling the appointment. Why? They don't have tech in the area. They scheduled another appointment with another Appliance repair company. This has been going on for 4 months and Frigidaire and lowes refuse to replace the lemon that I bought. read more

Concern nor response to the customer no longer exists at the Irmo store on Harbison. Kitchen floor recently installed by Lowe's installer has a few broken tiles. The color has been discontinued but some was still in stock at the store. I attempted to buy four boxes but at the register they would not show up to be sold. The supervisor and assistant store manager declined to override and sell them to me. I asked that they be held until their installer contacted them. Called the installer and he called the store about twenty minutes later and was told they put the four boxes and three from the shelf in the dumpster. Incomprehensible that customer service has deteriorated to that point at this location. read more

Whenever I'm with my mom, we must stop by any and all Lowe's. We stopped in to check out the garden center. The flowers are in full bloom and they offer a nice variety. All stores have reduced price plants and flowers. This location's selection is minimal. The associate at the register was friendly and helpful. read more

Absolutely the worse customer service I have ever had the misfortune to experience. I ordered a grill to be assembled and delivered. When the driver arrived he told me that there were parts missing so I refused the shipment (kudos to the driver, the only bright spot during all this) . Now I am trying to get delivery information and am having a difficult time getting the delivery department to answer the phone. Finally spoke to in the store's customer service and she said they have a delivery set. It's at a time when nobody would be here. The system wouldn't allow them to change the date. I also called corporate customer service ( customer no service) and ended up setting a call back one hour later. I just left Lowes at 6:30 in the morning and I had to get my blinds re-cut because they were a little long. The lady at the front desk was very helpful. She called several people to find someone that can do it for me. I was able to get my stuff done and be out of the store quickly. 0 stars is what this should be!!! PLEASE read this before you decide to use Lowes for any type of remodel, especially bathrooms!! We had them remodel 2 bathrooms upstairs and it was a complete nightmare!! They contract with Stone Interiors to complete the work and they know absolutely nothing. Guest bathroom issues:1. Toilet installation- didn't turn the water on and did not put water in the toilet so sewage fumes engulfed our home. 2. Tile shower walls-had to rip out and start over 3 times 3. new tub installed not properly done so now we have water damage to the ceiling in our garage from where the tub is leaking. Son's bathroom issues: 1. converted tub to a tiled walk in shower and had to be done 2 times and then finished by another person as we fired Stone Interiors. 2. toilet not installed correctly and leaked into our foyer downstairs 3. didn't install a p-trap in shower so once again...sewage smells seeping into our home. Plumber also found they had not done the piping correctly they installed for the shower. I spent many hours on the phone complaining of all this and I was told I would hear back from someone concerning them reimbursing us for the plumber bill, but as you can guess....no one has reached out. Lowes left us with screens that have holes in them (these are new screens they gave us - came with tears and holes), they damaged the interior window sills in several locations when replacing the windows, several of the windows they installed have defects that we pointed all this out at the time of installation, and contacted customer service. We selected Lowes to replace our windows and here we are several months and several attempts to get support and still not resolved. The did come back once a month later (sent the same installers) but the replacement screens they brought us - not one of them fit and though they said they would come back, have not. The windows were delivered in good condition yet the installers broke one on the install day then tried to blame the delivery team or us and wouldn't take responsibility (we watched every window be delivered and none were broken). That took a month for them to get a new one to us to get installed. When we try to contact the local store they always say we have to call someone else - always passing the buck. Just want our money and once they have it they are gone like the wind still seeping into our home... and the bugs coming through our screens - we have mosquitos flying in our bedroom at night if we leave the windows open. Poor quality, poor workmanship, poor service, poor response to our requests. The store blames the installers, the installers (independent contractors) blame the delivery team, and the delivery team said they are contractors and don't work for Lowes so we should call someone at Lowes. read more

I just wanted to say I went there to have some paint mixed up and Cece was very very sweet. She was patient informational and even gave me her honest opinions on colors to pick out. Lowes has always been my store of choice but I am beginning to doubt my loyalty. First I was lied to about a refrigerator I bought. It was supposed to have 2 icemakers. It didn't. They did not install correctly and dented the door. They also severely damaged my new floor and my door sealing rubber. Now I am on my 3rd bandsaw in a little over 2 months. It is a Porter Cable and when I opened it, the instructions for set up were for a 6" single speed bench grinder! I am tired of getting grief when I return defective products and a company that can't even tell a bandsaw from a bench grinder. They both have me running thither and yon and I am handicapped so this is a really big deal for me. Both Lowes and Porter Cable have been rude to me and just plain made my crafting miserable. I think Porter Cable owes me a 14" bandsaw for all the trouble they gave me...or maybe Lowes does. I am just disgusted with both but will not go to Home Depot...they put in a new kitchen with their measurements they took in error. Had to order the cupboards twice and they put the sink under my cupboards instead of the windows. No one takes real pride in their work anymore and I am sick of it. Had a stackable washer/dryer installed today. Quality of the machines are fine. However for some reason the drivers were told to bring a refrigerator kit instead of a stackable kit. I had also paid for a pickup fee just Incase we couldn't sell our old ones. We sold it so we didn't need that pickup. Driver told us make sure you get your money back for it! Well after speaking with 4 people who didn't know what to do or didn't care to help, we finally gave up trying to get our money back. They also tried to charge us for another delivery just to have someone come and finish the job! I told them I am not paying for an unfinished job... at least I was able to convince them of that. Delivery guys were great.. but the store employees were not helpful at all. Edit: tried ordering with them a second time. This time a dishwasher. Waited for them to come out and measure or call.. never did. So a week later we went back to get money back or schedule a day and they didn't even try to resolve the problem. Ordered online to pickup in store, 20' of vinyl flooring. Went to a Lowe's 45 minutes from my home because their website said they had what I wanted. While loading the truck with all of the other items I purchased, I noticed the vinyl wasn't there. When I inquired, I was told that they didn't have it, so they cancelled it. No phone call, just an email I didn't see in time. Note that the only reason I went to that particular Lowe's was because it had the vinyl I wanted. If I had known they didn't have it, I would have gone to my local store. So, I go into the store and try to find something else that has enough on the roll. I chose something and wait forever for someone to cut it. I pay and drive home. Today, we go to lay the vinyl and it's almost 5 feet short! Mind you, I paid for 20', but I got a little over 15 feet. I called the store and the manager blew me off. He said "come back to the store and we'll take care of it." I asked him what that meant - I don't just want another 5 feet of vinyl. He just repeated his statement. So, I call corporate customer service. Guess what? After an HOUR on the phone, there's nothing they can do. I even spoke to a supervisor who was obnoxious. My only option is to return the original vinyl to a store. No discount, no delivery , no pick up, no nothing. SO, I get to shop at Lowes so they can screw up and punish me for shopping there. I'll return and get my refund. And that's the last I'll ever see the inside of a Lowes. Lowes gets no more of my business. read more

For the most part, Lowe's is my go to hardware store. Their pricing is reasonable, and the fact they give a 10% military discount is great. My only negative experience is when purchasing a washer and dryer. We bought a stove as well, paid almost $2000 for all of them. The stove and dryer could be delivered immediately, but they had an unreasonably long wait time on the washer (something along the lines of 2 months). We waited a week to see if something might change, but no such luck. The Lexington store had 5 of the washers in stock. I asked if the could just get one from there transferred to that store so both could be delivered at the same time, and was told no. I ended up having to get a refund and drive to the other store and rebuy the washer and dryer. That was a smooth experience, and was told by the employee at the other store that the Harbison store could have easily gotten it transferred to them, but someone was just being lazy. read more

Ordered a washer/dryer. Delivery was rescheduled 3 times before they finally delivered. The only reason we knew it was rescheduled each time was because I called the store repeatedly until a person finally answered. She was like, "you didn't get a phone call about rescheduling?" No, we received no communication at all. On the second time, I waited all day for delivery and they never came. I literally called Lowe's Harbison 15 times until I got a person on the phone. And it was rescheduled. We received a text the day before regarding the 3rd try. On day of...not a single phone call. I waited the entire time and all of a sudden they just showed up. What if I had been at work? Do they think that people just wait around all day. They bring them both in and now they both have scratches on the front from where they banged them on my walls and door. Had a horrible experience trying to buy a refrigerator here. We bought one and had a delivery date set. On the day of delivery they said they sold our fridge to somebody else. They offered is a deal on another fridge to be delivered that day. We took the deal. Then a couple hours later tee get a call saying they found an extra refrigerator that matched our original order and they would still deliver that day. 5:00 came and no fridge. I've had problems at times but that comes with the territory of a retailer, but if you get the right manager, they are willing to always take care of the customer. We've recently had some installation get done and the sales lady and manager were great, and the installers were friendly and efficient. I'd recommend this location over the one in Lexington. I went in today1/19/2020 9:38am to return one of the six blackout shades that I purchased on 1/18/2020 at Lowe's in West Columbia(much better service in West Columbia). The return area only had one customer ahead of me, but the slow cashier was SLOW. I saw two employees nearby like zombies. NO HELP! I approached the counter and explained that I would like a cash refund or exchange.She said in a snarky tone you have to have a receipt. I said of course, but let me check the other shades because I may just exchange. She replied, "sure baby, let me know" Ugh is all I can say. It was a condescending "sure baby" if you know what I mean. Upon my return, she was complaining that she may not be able to refund such a large amount out of her register. She would need to get it from the back. Wherever that is. This clown disguised as a lady was about to refund my total receipt purchase of 259.88 instead of just one at 43.31. It amazes me that some people have the energy to be rude and uncouth but apparently can't read or count. Ugh! I made the rude lady aware that I do not want a refund for my total, just the one shade that is on the counter. DUH! She wants to go back and forth about having a receipt. Lady, I don't care because I have my receipt. YOU ARE LOOKING AT MY RECEIPT! NONSENSE. She never asked my reason for the return until after I provided my signature, and was about to exit. I said, "can't you see that it's still in the new box unopened, and I told you earlier that it was the wrong size." She had a rebuttal for that too. I said bye bye, have a nice day. Yet, again, Lowes ruins the day. I will spare you the 8 pages of the horror so far of trying to get a fridge from Lowes, so here's the numbered short list. 1. Canceled order due to not in stock, no one told me, waited two weeks for a call the fridge was in and ready to deliver, only to find, "oh, we cancelled that. Did we forget to tell you?" 2. Got a demo model of same, promised it was in perfect condition, to make up for earlier Lowes screw-up. Promised delivery in two days. Lowes forgets to tell the delivery guys, so no delivery is scheduled. I find out, and finally got them to put me first the next day, considering. 3. Fridge arrives, big dent in grill in back, not in "perfect" condition Mark had promised. After much back and forth when I refuse to let the delivery guys put it in the kitchen, Lowes offers a free 3-year warranty for the damage LOWES did to it. 4. Lowes offers also 100-buck gift card for all my hassles and all the lies and screw-ups, a card that, for some reason, MUST be picked up at the store. I go out a week later to pick it up, and of course there is NO gift card, even though I was told it was in the store and ready to be picked up and held in the safe. I can tell you right now the only reason they even offered it was because I made a BBB complaint, and yet, hello, still no card. read more

I purchased a roll of paintable wallpaper at Lowe's yesterday. I realized I had a question before I ripped into the packaging. I called to speak with someone in the wallpaper department. Diane quickly told me they do not sell wallpaper. I made sure I had called the Harbison store. She said yes. I told her I purchased wallpaper the day before. She curtly said, "I'll direct you to paint." The paint department guy answered the phone -- and I told him I had a question about wallpaper. He put me on hold. I don't think he knew how to direct my call to the wallpaper people. So I redialed the main line. I apologized to Diane for calling again about wallpaper -- and told her the paint guy wasn't able to help me. I asked if she could direct me to the wallpaper, wall hanging, window treatment department. She sighed and I was redirected. The phone rang and rang. Finally, Diane picked up again. I told her no one answered, so I would try something else. She said "thank you" and hung up. I am seriously NOT impressed. Lowe's! I hope you read this. Get someone more helpful in customer service. At least more pleasant! I understand feeling exasperated when dealing with someone mean and grouchy and ugly -- but I was trying to be super pleasant! I really just wanted some help. Please do not but a appliance warranty from Lowes without reading the fine print. I bought a dishwasher in October, the dishwasher was damaged by a electric surge on Dec. 29 2016. I have had two service calls, both times the tech said it was a problem with the electrical outlet. First tech said not getting enough volts. Certified electrician tested, reading 120 volts as it should. Second tech came up with some other problem that has been ruled out by another certified electrician. Now after I have taken off time from work on two separate occasions to meet techs and paid an electrician to dispel the findings of these incompetent techs, I was told yesterday parts need to be ordered and I will need another service call. I was also told I have to have 4 service calls 30 day apart before I can receive a new dishwasher, and even after the six or so months I may go without a working dishwasher Lowes warranty states the can replace with a rebuilt model. They have taken no responsibility for the two errors already made and do not seem to care that I have a new dishwasher that is not operational or my expenses to hire electrician to dispel the myth that the outlet is compromised.
