I have been a customer of Lowe's for over 20 yrs. I am almost 70 yrs old. Every time I buy lumber there, no one has volunteered to help me load that lumber. When I ask for help they say someone is out there to help me. No one is out there and no one around is available to help - they are busy talking or standing around or hiding. No one wants to help me load lumber onto my truck. It has been that way for the past 10 yrs. I have talked to cashiers and with the manager of the store. I have been having to load my own truck with this heavy lumber. It seems that no one there cares about an older woman having to load heavy lumber, and that comes from the top down. I love Lowe's but I hope that this will change. If it continues, I can foresee people like me going to another store where they will be treated as a valuable customer and have help offered and given as needed. I get the definite impression that the workers are lazy and inconsiderate and disrespectful to older customers. I have spent thousands of dollars there over the years. Management should be out in the store and parking lot to see who is helping customers load heavy items. Management professes to care but they do not show it. They appear to stay in their office hiding. A good working environment starts at the top and filters down. That's what this store needs. read more

When going to the store itself I usually find what I need and staff there have been helpful. But I have learned that if you ever have a large order of lumber Etc , you better be prepared to wait for up to 2 weeks before you get your delivery . I found this completely ridiculous . On january 12 2026 my wife and I went to Lowes o in Cornelia to purchase a new stove, she had already picked one out, the sales person working in appliances was rude in a sense i was standing there at the sales desk waiting while he was stapleing two papers together, instead of waiting on me and my wife he turned to a young lady who had just walked up pushing a stroller, i was almost beyond holding back, so we left never to return to that store again. I bought a Craftsman riding mower that needed repair after less than 2 years. Craftsman warranty/customer service is ZERO and Lowe's is no better. Craftsman has a warranty/customer service phone number that circles in endless IVRs only to ultimately hang up on you. Online, they have an AI chatbot that is equally useless. Bravo Craftsman, good job. Lowe's came and picked the mower up, did nothing with it for almost a week, then said it would be another 2-3 weeks for service. This isn't what they told me when I scheduled the pick-up. I don't know how they expect anyone to go without their mower for that long in the summer. I abandoned any hope of getting timely service and asked them to deliver the mower back to me. That took another 2/3 days. That started week 2 of being no further ahead than when I started. They operate with an absolute zero sense of urgency. read more

We came in with a very complicated return. We recently bought a house, and the seller was to buy the new appliances. The stove he ordered did not fit. The delivery company they use did not disclose the stove didn't fit when they delivered it. They took the stove out of the box and left it there. So here we are, 2 weeks later, trying to return the stove. Drew (the appliance manager) was not willing to help us AT ALL. He said if we "didn't like his policies, we should go somewhere else." He did not ask for a receipt or try to understand our situation. At this point, I was in tears from the interaction with him. I've never been treated that rudely by someone in customer service. We went up to the front to get some help from the customer service counter. Those girls were AMAZING. One handed me tissues when I was crying and the other was desperately trying to get in touch with the delivery company to see if they can make an exception. Ultimately, the delivery company said no to the return, which is not the fault of Lowe's. The store manager then came out to speak to us. While he wasn't overtly rude, he did speak to us in a condescending tone and did not apologize for the way Drew treated us. Those girls, however, deserve a raise! I have spent over three thousand dollars within the last few weeks while I renovated my house, and will need to spend much more. However, I will take my business to the Home Depot in Toccoa. If it weren't for a handful of helpful employees, this would be a 1 star review. Every time we have needed customer service or to pick up an order that was placed online, it is a nightmare getting out. For our fridge, we came to pick it up rather than wait a few extra days for delivery since we had been without one for 2 weeks. It took just under 4 hours for my husband to get out of the store with it. Today we had an order made in store, they wouldn't put on the contractors trailer so he said he'd have to come back tomorrow. We've now been waiting for over an hour for them to figure out where the order is and how to get it back to them. They ran my husbands card twice and mine twice for the purchase. So $2400+ in total that is all pending because they ran it multiple times. They're now refunding and placing the amount on a gift card. He'll have to repurchase tomorrow. We waited on paint for 20 minutes another day. Someone was called to the paint area 3 times before we finally were helped. There are some very helpful employees and I wish I knew their names. But customer service when picking up an item is a nightmare. We will be taking our business to Home Depot from here forward. read more

We have had to hit the hardware stores multiple times a week for over three months. Many of the things that we have had to do have been kind of tricky. Some things we have called ahead come and ask for them to actually get eyes on what we're going to buy before we make the trip over there, to make sure it's the exact item we need and that they have it in stock. I am so happy that they have been friendly, professional, and knowledgeable on everything we've needed to get done. We have yet to have a bad experience, and don't anticipate having one. read more

ANSWER THE DAMN PHONE! This Lowe's is absolute trash. They never answer the phone and when you get to the store they never have anything you need in stock. You ever had to self-check $2,000 worth of material because there's nobody at the register? It's a fun time. They also use the most valuable parking spaces for their rental equipment so you have to park away from the exit door. And I dare you to find an employee that actually knows anything about plumbing/doors/electrical or building materials. But I you can bet there will be someone in the appliance section to sell you an expensive refrigerator. read more

It really should say something that the only two positive reviews are from over a decade ago. So here's the deal. We went in to get a new tool cabinet as a nice birthday present for myself. We found one we wanted, talked to an associate, and no one came to help us get one off the shelf. We went and paid for our other items and mentioned it to the cashier. A forklift operator then came and told us he had been looking for us (the toolboxes are right next to checkout so where exactly?). Then he told us he'd go get it. I followed this guy down to the aisle, and he did in fact try to get it down with a lift. But apparently it was strapped to a pallet with another one and he doesn't carry a box cutter. I'm a teacher and carry a knife when I'm not at work. You work in a hardware store. Anyway...he goes and gets an actual forklift to get it down and then...disappears. I go and get a cart because I think he's about to get it down. At this point, it had been about twenty minutes since we arrived. Not great but not terrible. The guy never comes back. I waited for ten more minutes before seeing him with another group of customers. Like he just completely forgot about us. My wife went back and talked to the cashier while I waited to see what was going on. Evidently the cashier said something to the manager, who asked the operator what was going on and he said "I've got 30 other things on my to-do list." That's nice. We had been waiting there for 45 minutes at this point. So we wait a little longer before I get really fed up. At the one hour mark I saw this dude with yet a different person, so so much for the to-do list, huh? I actually went up to him and asked and THIS was when he told me that he's not forklift certified. ARE. YOU. KIDDING ME? So I'm done. I walk right over to customer service and talk to the manager. Now, she is very helpful. She calls another operator, who goes and gets the forklift and helps me load the tool chest into our truck. So, to recap. We got there at around 2:30 PM and left at 4:00. For one tool chest. Nathan the cashier, Megan the manager, and David the forklift operator were all very helpful. The other forklift operator, or is he? That was never confirmed. He, on the other hand, needs to be retrained. So yeah I paid $500 and waited 1.5 hours from talking to someone (1 hour from actually paying for the thing) before I left with it. One star for the wait and another for the three aforementioned employees who actually helped. This store has not lost my business yet but I will definitely be a little more decisive about whether I really need to go here. read more

We have been trying to get our refrigerator since October 2022. Cornelia Lowes keeps moving date every time its get time to be delivered. When we call they keep putting us on hold and will never give a definite answer on the delivery. Be warned!!!!! DO NOT BUY ANY APPLIANCES at CORNELIA LOWES. You will never get it! I like this store. Goodness knows we go there enough. When we first moved into our house, we were in there again and again. They always had what we were looking for. I also like that the employees there are helpful and if seem to be wandering around, someone always steps up to see if they can help you find something. Also, I like that Lowes has not gone to self check out like Home Depot. Bathrooms are big and at the front of the store and they keep them clean. read more

Terrible customer service! We bought a $3,000 lawnmower originally from the Athens Lowes but they were out of stock so for some reason they sent my online order to the Cornella Lowes, It has been a nightmare from the start. First off they were 2 weeks late getting it to us, I got off work early to be there when it arrived, it never showed up, I got NO phone call saying they were not coming, finally I got them back on the phone for them to say, it's going to be another week. Well once we finally got the lawnmower, the delivery driver was extremely rude to me, I tried to start it and nothing. We were doing everything correctly, come to find out the key was left in the machine (the store or delivery drivers fault, this will cause the battery to go dead. ) Nice to know! So, a brand new lawnmower and it will not start due to a dead battery! We were able to cut grass with it once, and have had trouble getting it to crank back ever since. Don't EVEN get me started on the issues we are having with them on returning the lawnmower! Seriously, each time we have been on the phone with anyone from this store, we've been put on hold for well over 30 minutes each time. They like to pass you around from person to person, I think, they are hoping you get tired of holding and just give up! read more

Terrible experience! Placed order for 3 appliances on 5/28/20. Delivery was to be 6/13/20. On 6/09/20, I received an email stating that one of the items was out-of-stock and that delivery of the entire order would be delayed to 7/18/20. 5 weeks! Appliances were finally delivered. But even though I had paid for haul away, delivery men would not take the old refrigerator - said it was too heavy. They said that someone from dispatch would call to schedule pickup and they would send more guys. I waited two days - no one called. I called customer service and was told I had to call the Cornelia store (even though I had place my order online.) I called the store. I was cut off 3 times, each time after being on hold several minutes. The fourth time I called, the person in "customer service" said she had to take a message because the person I needed to talk to was with a customer. That was over 30 minutes. No one has called me back. I have been on hold with the Lowe's customer service line for over 32 minutes and counting as I type this review. read more

Terrible customer service. My grandmother bought a $3.5k fridge and had issues every single step of the way. Initially we had a rude cashier who refused to use the price we were quoted in the back or even call back there, then the delivery was scheduled for that weekend, but no one ever showed up. My grandmother had to call Lowe's herself to find out that the fridge wasn't coming that day, after she spent the entire day waiting on it. Then it was supposed to come the next day, so she wasted her vacation day, and when the person came to hook up the fridge he said he couldn't deliver it to her because we didn't have a shut off valve behind the fridge (even though there was one for the already ran line under the sink less than 6 feet away). He refused to hook up just the fridge, and left with it. When my grandmother went back to the store to get her money we had to wait almost an hour for them to tell us they couldn't refund it because she paid with a check. They said we'd have to wait over a week for the check to clear, and we were out $3.5k. read more

The Whirlpool Dryer I bought from Lowes, Cornelia, GA had a 1 year warranty, but quit working after about 9 months. I have tried for 2 weeks to get them to repair it under the warranty. They have promised to do so and made an appointment for the repair last week. They DID NOT SHOW UP and did not call. Tried to get the warranty department EVERY day since then, but told the "wait time" would be 2 1/2 HOURS. I finally (after 2 weeks) gave up on Lowes ad found a local repair person who came the day I called and made the repair in less than an hour. He charged me $160, which I paid out of my pocket. So, the Lowes WARRANTY WAS TOTALLY WORTHLESS. Needless to sey I won't shop there again. AVOID SHOPPING AT LOWES. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXTREMELY POOR AND THEIR WARRANTY IS WORTHLESS. Sadly to say because I've shopped at this location for years without any issues. I will never buy a pressure washer here again. I bought a 500$ pressure washer with a 2 year warranty and after only 6 uses the pressure pump is not working. I bring it back to get it fixed since it is still under warranty and I'm told they will not be fixing the issue. I was told it was my fault due to not servicing the pump in the winter time. Lol I've had a Honda washer I bought over 14 years ago that still works from Home Depot and I will be forced to make the longer drive since I will not be buying from Lowe's again. Just don't expect appliance department employees to assist without snapping at you, even after waiting 45 minutes prior to politely asking if there is anyone available to help. Then, after spending thousands on appliances, and allowing them extra days for delivery scheduling, do not expect the product to be delivered anywhere near that scheduled delivery date.
