As soon as we walked in, the stores and clean and what we were looking for was easy to find. We took our purchase up to the front to check out and that's where we had the problem. The item we were purchasing was very large and very heavy, so my husband asked the cashier if there was somebody that could help us load it if we pulled our vehicle up to the door. She never responded, and she didn't even look up to it knowledge she had heard him, so I repeated the request. That's when she said " if you want to pull your car up I will find somebody to help". My husband went to pull the car up while I waited just inside the door. After a few minutes she saw me standing there and called out to somebody. I watched her tell someone that we needed assistance and it appeared that he heard her as he looked at her and then turned and walked away. About five minutes later I noticed that three of the guys (that I had previously seen outside helping people ) we're standing and joking around with each other right behind our cashier. After a few minutes they all walked away. My husband called me and I had told him we were still waiting and that nobody had come over to me yet. He told me he was just going to come in and get it himself. He came in and got our purchase and took it out to our vehicle when all of a sudden two guys quickly came walking up to help him load it. I noticed there was I Nother vehicle in front of us that were loading their own purchase as well. Those same two employees stood behind them watching them load it. They promote a sale but change the item number so it's not giving the discount. Dumb and dumber looked up both item numbers comparing the product wondering what the difference was, there was no difference. When I asked for the discount they said they couldn't because the item number was wrong. They mentioned that there were 4 with the correct item number so I made her scan each product until she found one that matched. What a crap show. I have been doing business with Lowes for 20 years, back when they were good. 4 months ago my 3 year old dryer went out. I made an appointment with Assurant. There are only 2 providers for Corpus Christin, one in kingsville and one in San Antonio. The one in San Antonio only comes to corpus on wednesdays and only had an opening in 3 weeks. No communication with Assurant at all. Then a part was ordered and then the part is no longer made. Then it is. Finally I get it totalled and I order a new dryer. The day before the delivery date a month later I call and was told they never shipped it because they no longer make it. NO emails, no phone calls no nothing. I took off work unpaid for this. Now I am waiting for them to mail another gift card in 7 days so I can order another dyer. The dryer that is discontinued is still on the website. I dont want anything more to do with Lowes but have to use the 1400.00 gift card only at lowes and only a gift card. 4 months without a dryer and they dont give a you know what. read more

I purchased a dishwasher for $399, charges were added for delivery, parts needed for installation, a warrantee and for the installation bringing the total up to $754 which I paid with a debit card. Then I remembered my neighbo4 said he could install it for me and I said cancel the installation. The salesman said he had to cancel this order and redo it. The new total was $607 which I paid. This was a friday. The next morning I checked my bank balance and both charges were there with no credit. Monday I went in to question this and was told the cancellation was put in Monday and was treated as a return and would take 7-10 days. Other stores can ask you to insert the card you used and give a refund on the spot. I won't be going back to Lowe's. read more

I asked a woman named toni for help and she gave me attitude. She wasn't professional at all, even rolling her eyes at me. I don't recommend going, even after i asked MULTIPLE times where things were she would say "I don't know" and proceed to look at her coworkers and laugh in my face like they the ones paying? Toni needs to be replaced or fired for this behavior is so childish. Even after my interaction with this woman i would see her ignore other customers while flirting with her male coworkers. We recently had a vinyl plank floor installed in the master bedroom. We can't say enough about the great service we received. Fernando, the store associate, was knowledgeable and patient helping us select a floor for our needs. Jean, the installer point person (boss), came to the house, measured the space and gave us feedback that was very helpful as well. The installers, Jason and Isaiah, were professional and timely. I want to give a special shout out to Elaine in flooring for going the extra mile and hunting and scouring the top shelves to get me a $1.39 tile to show to be able for me to show a customer. Most people would have said it's not in stock, the computer is wrong and something to that effect. This is how Big Box stores need to work. Customer focus and customer driven . It's not Lowe's, it's their ridiculous delivery service. They must be either drunk or high. 1. When delivering my stove, they knocked on the neighbor's door, so then they brought it back to the store. 2. After a nightmare trying to get through to them, they arranged to bring it back a week later. 3. They brought the stove, but, DIDN'T PICK UP THE OLD STOVE which was clearly paid for and on the receipt. 4. Anastasia saved Christmas. It all started Friday night when my husband and I got a Christmas tree. Anastasia was very knowledgeable and let us know the one we wanted was the last one in stock- we could take it for full price but there was no box. No problem! Until the next evening we are home and realize we left the tree stand in the cart in the hustle to load the car and now have an artificial tree with no stand :( My husband went back to Lowe's to search/ see if any had been turned in. Anastasia overheard him talking to another employee and began to search the store. After no luck, she took his number down just in case and luckily she called us a couple hours later with great news!! I bought a freezer last week after being assured it was in stock and available. Instead of delivering it Tuesday as scheduled they called me to reschedule delivery twice. I then went to the story on Corpus Christi and again I was told they had no inventory that was close to the size I bought. I then canceled my order and delivery and went to Best Buy and bought a freezer there. When I returned home I got a call from the Lowe's delivery department saying they were on the way with the Freezer. I told them the order had been cancelled and to forget it. I have never seen such incompetence and poor inventory management ever. I will not be doing business there again. read more

They have some very nice employees, and a lot of systems they don't work properly. Store to store transfers are unreliable, backordered items do not fill when available on the shelf, electronic coupons can't be used at self checkout, online orders are not promptly processed (1 hour delay from order confirmation to order processing), etc. The 800 number will do you no good when issues arise. 3 stars is generous and only because the employees are generally helpful, they have a wide selection, and it is easy to get to. read more

Okay well on a mission to find a 1/2 inch impact tool. I found one on the shelf that clearly had been returned. I asked the young kid if I could test it since we live 1.5 hours away all I wanted too do was plug it in and check that it worked. He went to get the manager on duty named Miguel. I decided I would get it since "Miguel", discounted it to 10 percent off which in my opinion isn't enough for a used tool but anyway I began to proceed. When I saw him at the register I asked him if I could plug it in because we live so far away Miguel literally told me no we don't do that. Okay so let me get this straight if the tool was returned and the sales associate said it worked then how did you know if worked without testing it upon return and going back on the shelf. Anyway, Miguel lost a large sale from us as we had several hundred dollars worth of stuff we were going to buy. We decided since Lowe's does NOT stand behind their products or customer service we left. I don't get it, and quite frankly Miguel was very dismissive. We won't ever shop at Lowe's again ! I hope corporate sees this. Absolute shameful. Update: We went to Home Depot straight from Lowe's and spent 700.00. Ya see ya get dicey with us and we go to you're competitor. This company can't stay in business much longer. I bought a stove on the 17th of May for a 25th delivery that was delayed till the 31st (yesterday). I already had the other one pulled out so l could clean behind it as they were to take it away. As soon as the delivery guy saw the cord on it he said "you bought the wrong cord". He told me that mine had four prongs but I bought the one with three so he couldn't install it. I tried to call the store but they NEVER answer the phone! Never mind the fact that I never bought a 3 or 4 prong cord. The salesman told me that I needed a new cord and I said "ok" so he gave you the wrong cord. I asked what can we do? He went outside and came back said: I just call them, they'll call you in a few mins to set up a time to bring it out tomorrow. Of course they never did. I've called the store 20 times and no one EVER answered the phone so now I'm stuck with a stove that's worse than the old one (top part was still working on it). I'm about to go there now but after reading all the other reviews and writing this one. I'm so sure, I won't be happy with whatever happens. Rebate beware. I recently bought over $1100 worth of paint thinking I was going to receive 25% in rebates as told by the salesperson in paints. I bought two of each item so that the second one would be half price over two day period. The rebate center took the lowest priced single gallon of paint and used it as the basis to compute the rebate across the board after combining my invoices. Even though one invoice had two five gallon containers costing over $305 each. I talked to the rebate center and Lowe's customer care and neither would give the matter a second look. I bought nearly $300 worth of window blinds from Lowe's online. When they arrived they were just a tad too big to fit into the window frame. Lowe's advertises that the blinds can be cut to fit, so we went to Lowe's on airline to have them cut. We waited in the blinds section for 20 minutes for the woman working there to even say anything to us as she was helping another customer. At that time she said "someone will be right with you" and she paged for help on the intercom. 10 minutes go by no one shows up and the employee calls for help on the intercom again. An additional 10 minutes go by and no one shows up (of course). This employee is finally available to "help" us. She first informs us that this isn't the section she typically works in and isn't familiar with everything here. We ask to to help with cutting our blinds. First she says they can't be cut because the end caps on them do not come off... I showed her that yes they in fact did come off very easily. Next she said they couldn't be cut because they weren't the same brand as the cutting machine. THEN she says she's not actually 100% if they can be cut or not.... she recommended us returning them all and buying them online in the length we needed. Wow. Okay. I make my way to customer service to start the return. Mind you, I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old with me this entire time. You can't actually get to customer service unless you exit on the far right of the store and RE-ENTER on the left side. What a great completely needless adventure... the customer service area is very small. It's so packed that people are over flowing and waiting outside the automatic doors. Finally, an employee says "if you'd like help with online orders, I can help you". We step up. I ask this employee if they can find someone who can tell me if my blinds can or can not actually be cut. They told me no.... "the employees that work in the blinds section are only scheduled to work during high volume hours and aren't available." (How is a weekend afternoon not a high volume time????) They then told me that they could not return my blinds. They said that I would have to get BACK IN THE FIRST LINE WE WERE IN AND WAIT AGAIN TO BE HELPED BY ANOTHER CUSTOMER SERVICE EMPLOYEE. WE JUST LEFT! No one in the store is knowledgeable about the blind/window products and could help us. No one cared that our time was being repeatedly wasted. I wish I had made my purchase elsewhere. Literally anywhere else. Getting the run around after dropping a few hundred dollars in their products is infuriating. read more

Customer service is non existent. There is no signage to indicate on the exterior of the business where the returns are located. Returns/customer service are rude and belligerent. In returning a very large and heavy item, I brought the paperwork to the returns desk once I was able to finally navigate around the confusing entry. The head cashier was rude and dismissive when I handed her my receipt and RA#. Before I could even ask where to unload the broken machine...she said we don't do any returns without all items in the store. I tried to tell her that I was showing her the receipt and wanted to ask where to unload it...she rudely and abruptly cut me off and said I had to unload it and she needed the whole thing in the store first. Not once did she say anything polite. Lowe's, besides selling a product that was damaged, your service staff needs help. read more

We bought a stove and above the stove microwave on March 28th. We are still waiting on the stove to come in. The microwave came in and they charged us $375 to install it. It doesn't work. We keep calling Lowe's and they keep giving us the run around. We stayed home to wait for our stove to be delivered, they never came. We called them, they said it was on back order, when I asked why we were told it would be delivered today, they said they didn't know. My husband has begun to call Lowe's every day to see if they are ever going to deal with our microwave and if we will ever get our stove.
