Now having been here a few times, I have had really great encounters and I have had some where I literally just want to scream into a pillow. I think your level of customer service is contingent on who you interact with. I've bought a dishwasher and stove top microwave this year, and let's just say we had one rockstar and one person who could give two s*!ts about our order lol. This is the 2nd time I have ordered a custom door. Each time no one from customer service or the door department notifies me the door is in. I do not get a call or email. Then when I called a week ago, I was told it was in. It should be the other way around. Lowes has had horrible service. If you go in and buy something you'll be OK. But if you're ordering or asking for any kind of customer service, you're going to be out of luck. We have called several times to try to get Blinds put in and also gone in several times but no one is at or near the Binds Department. There is no way to get a hold of a manager. If you get through the lines and the wait time, you'll just be rerouted to different departments never getting to the department that you need to get to. BLUF: Came here to buy a Christmas Tree This is one (of many) Lowe's here in El Paso. Most cities these days are like this one, having multiples of the same store. The service is as good as any other Lowe's I've even been to. The selection is on par with every other Lowe's. The value -- Ok so we were here for a Christmas Tree - an as fresh as you can get Christmas Tree way out here in the middle of the West Texas desert. Lowe's is our go-to. Not only do we get a military discount, but for whatever reason, all fresh cut trees were an additional 25% off today. So, the value was pretty solid. Lowe's ain't too bad. read more

I purchased some appliances on March 27th. The salesperson sold me a GE washing machine and a dryer. When they where going to deliver them, they only had they dryer, because it came from the Transmountain store, the washer was coming from the Rojas store. When they called me about the delivery they only had the dryer and not the washer, was not in stock. I went to the store before they delivered the dryer and was told by an other salesman that the washer was discontinued when I went to the store the first time. He could not understand how she sold me an item that was no longer in stock and the warranty on it as well. He also told me the dryer did not even match the washing machine. I had to repurchase another washing machine. I received Lowe's statement in April 18th and tie dryer was delivered on the 19th. I called to see why the washing machine was not delivered and was told they could not find it when the delivery truck went to pick it up. I complained to store manager and she said they showed 8 washing machines but they were all damaged but one and they could find it. On April 20th they delivered the washing machine and it was totally damaged. The box was in tack and not one tear. They just but a damaged machine in a new box. Complained to store manager and told him they could pick up the dryer as I was going somewhere else to purchase them. He didn't even care about loosing a customer! I sold my old appliances thinking I would have new ones. So they won't give me credit until dryer is picked up, "BUT I GOT MY STATEMENT!" Won't be going them to buy appliances again! Customer Service is the worst. First our dishwasher was delivered damaged. Then I had to go to the store to set up delivery of the new appliance because they couldn't figure their own system out over the phone. Then on the day the 2nd dishwasher was going to be delivered, we called to see what time it would show and the date had been changed and we hadn't been notified. After an hour on hold, we went to the store and no one knew if they had the dishwasher in stock. Finally the manager, Chris, says we can do another dishwasher, but we can't get the discount we initially got. This is ludicrous and the worst customer service I've ever seen. I purchased a gas grill, cover and propane tank online from Lowes on Redd Road. I was charged $65.00 for the tank only to receive it empty. I called the store to exchange it and they told me to bring it into the store for exchange. When I went to take it the clerk told me the tank is sold empty and I could purchase one full. My question is why anyone would pay that amount for an empty tank? I went to Walmart and purchased one for less with propane. I emailed them and of course they didn't respond. Hey, it's a Lowe's. But you know overall average. I didn't have any issue finding what I was looking for, but it isn't always super easy since the stores the size of a small town. This Lowe's does have these sweet little buttons on each isle that you can press for assistance. I didn't try them out, but next time I'm there I'm going to try each button and see how long the wait is for a employee. First, I ordered the door in Dec 2021. I was told multiple times that door was in. I took days off so door could be installed, losing time at work, only to be told it's not actually in yet on day of appointment. After 4 months ans three rounds of this, I was told that door was never coming and I had to restart order with another company. So the process began again. Door was to be installed and again it wasn't until the third install date that it was actually installed. Costing me an additional 2 days of lost work (5 in total). When door was installed the casing was White. It looks absolutely terrible. It should have had a brown casing to match door. Now, I have to color match the door and paint what should have been done correctly in first place. $8000 for a door that looks terrible. Not to mention the chipping in door and terrible job around frame. Almost a year of waiting and got a Completely unfinished unprofessional product. I planned to get windows throughout house and a new garage door. I will never use Lowes again. I'll spend that 50k somewhere else. read more

I ordered two appliances several weeks ago - finally, my wall oven was scheduled for delivery today! The installer arrived, was pleased with the electric work that I had to accomplish prior to installation, and we were ready to install! Our installer went outside to unbox our appliance and came back to tell me that the appliance was damaged. He disclosed to me that many times, the appliances he picks up from this specific location (Redd Road in El Paso) are damaged when they are supposed to be brand new out of the box. This is due to improper handling by the shippers, the unloaders, and the "workers" who load the appliances into the installers' trucks, in our opinion. If not them, who else? I called no less than six times today to speak to the sales associate in appliances, who had previously thanked me for my business profusely - no answer, six times. I called late in the afternoon, and after a HALF HOUR, was picked up by "customer service." The representative said that she needed to speak with her supervisor to help resolve the issue. 20 minutes later, I was still on hold, so I gave up. This is infuriating! Other issues: The millenials in appliances do not know their products. I had researched my desired wall oven, and I knew that I had to convert from gas to electric, but one little girl in the department argued that I ordered a gas oven. When a customer knows more than the "associate," a toddler, really, Lowe's has a problem. The associate in question is not the one who received credit for selling me the appliance - she was just helping. Another issue: the "associates" are all such good buddies! They have private conversations on full blast in front of customers, and want so badly to make it known that they are all such good friends. Yada yada yada. Store manager, expect a call tomorrow. Shopped at the Far East Lowes of El Paso for 6 years now. Have spent in excess of 125,000 in these 6 years. No more. Everything I have bought that came in a box has been damaged. Refrigerator, stove, microwave, barbecue pit, smoker, washing machine AND dryer, windows (didn't open and close properly, and more than 1 window, didn't realize it until after they were installed) and the list goes on and on. Evidently the employees don't give a hoot in hell of how the merchandise is handled. Even a lot of the floor models are damaged. We live 80 miles away and it's a sacrifice to have to bring back everything you purchase for a replacement or refund. We've switched to Home Depot even though it's a tad further. read more

Handy called and sent an email scheduled Planet Plumbing for 6/17 9:00am to install my new faucet I purchased at Lowes. Planet Plumbing did not install my faucet correctly. I do not recommend this company. Zero Stars. Handy, Third Party Installers assigned another company Plumbing Xpress. They never showed up for two appointments. I do not recommend this company. Lowe's is my Target for all things home improvement. All of their stores are set up about the same which makes it easy to navigate and find the general location of any specific item I'm looking for. This location is no exception. I've been in this particular store a few times. The staff keeps the store clean and organized; the aisles are well lit and labeled. Any time I've needed help finding something or to have a key cut, etc. I have been able to find a friendly, helpful staff member very quickly. Stopping by this Lowe's location has always been stress free for me. read more

I went to purchase a grill using the progressive leasing program. After two hours and multiple employees I was finally able to make a purchase that should have been effortless. With that being said I qualify for military discount and told this to the associate prior to her completing the sale. She then proceeded to tell me that the leasing program does not give military discount. As I use this program frequently, I knew this was not correct. The associate then told me the other two associates there with her have tried and the leasing program has a set price and it does not work! Corona virus or not, her response should not have been, "I tried it, she's tried it and she's tried it and it doesn't work." While pointing at her co workers and rolling her eyes. I then explained that she should have applied the discount prior to sending the cost the the leasing program. When she continued to argue that she could not do it I asked for a manger. After two front end supervisors were called to handle the matter it was finally taken care of. I cannot count how many lies were told in the process and that only one of the associates even apologized. Which was not the associate that caused the confusion. I explained to the front end supervisor that this could have all been resolved a lot quicker had the associate listened to the customer and apologized at the beginning instead of involving five employees and two hours later. I further explained that whether the associate felt I deserved a military discount or not really was not for her to determine as Lowe's determined I qualify and I look at it as a coupon not a right! Moving forward, I am currently trying to contact Lowe's to pick up the grill that I purchased rather than have it delivered, which is a free service and have been on hold for a total of 45 minutes! Someone hung up after the first 20 minutes and I called back three more times to be hung up on and finally someone took the call and placed me on hold again! I assure you I am customer service driven and I will never work another day to give Lowe's another penny of my hard earned money. Today I needed a large piece of lumber cut. Their cutting saw had a sign that said "temporarily out of order." When I went to the contractor desk to find out when the saw would be working again, three people at the desk said "we do not know." We do not know? Ordered 3 100 foot VHD Night Owl Security Camera System cables on 12 March. Was told product would arrive on Friday, 22 March. Was told I would be called automatically when product was received. Wasn't called but went to Lowe's late on 22nd to pick up product; after a prolonged wait while records were checked, was told it was not yet logged in by receiving but product would be available Saturday, 23 March. Went back to Lowe's late on 23rd. After a wait while shelves were searched and product could not be located, was informed it likely was not logged in yet by receiving. So, went back to Lowe's on Monday, 25 March. After records checked, was informed product hadn't been shippped; but, would be shipped from warehouse on 30th and likely would arrive by o/a 4 April, over 3 weeks after order was placed and paid. So, what's the issue .... terrible customer service ... prolonged delay to receive item and no assurance that it will arrive o/a 4 April (if at all) and no automatic notification of delivery date changes ... have to go to Lowe's (repeatedly) to find out product status. Thank God it's for a personal home application and not a business commitment to a customer. Amazon is a hell of a lot faster (and cheaper) and they provide updated status. read more
