I had bought one online that matched the purse hardware but it didn't fit the width of the leather handle. The guy I spoke with at Lowes helped me right away finding the right width and length rivet screw. It doesn't match the hardware but it has my purse working until I can get it properly fixed. But that's not really the thing_ I actually was the one that had to go out in the parking lot and take a pic of both vin numbers and check with the manager if there was a title-I had to unhook the trailer myself and roll it back to the original spot-I called them on the way home to tell them to lock up their own trailer so no one would take it! I would give minus stars if it were allowed here. I've done 2 projects in Elizabeth city with both with materials from Lowe's in town. The delivery of bulk materials was screwed up on both. The 2nd, the overall order was messed up and only a portion was set for delivery and the bulk of the order left for me to pick up in store. Called to address this and while the delivery issue was sorted, what really prompted this review was the fact that I was NOT informed that for their system to change from in store to delivery, that I'd be charged again. So, an almost $4000 order had a double hold out on my account. And the "best" they could do was wait for the system to clear and release holds and that would take 3-10 days. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. Not only will I NEVER shop at this Lowe's EVER again. I will take my $150k a year in materials purchases to another supplier. This situation crossed a major mine with me and their seeming indifference compounded the issue. Considering legal action as well. You ALL would do well to drive to Hampton roads, get your materials and drive back than to risk this situation happening to you. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! read more

If you need to visit the customer support desk, save yourself a trip and just don't. We ordered a dishwasher at the appliance desk in the store and it was not in stock. We decided we would order it and wanted to have it installed. The worker who helped us told us we had to order the dishwasher to the store and then once it was delivered to the store, we needed to come back in and schedule the pick up and installation. Obviously we did this because why wouldn't we trust the person who does this everyday? Bad choice. One week later, I get the txt that the dishwasher is ready for pick up. So far so good! We go into the store and walk back to the appliance desk. The worker there had no idea what we were talking about and said we would have to go to the customer service desk. We walk there, and that's where this experience got bad. We explained the situation to the first person at the register. She just laughed and said, let me find someone to help you. We then get another person. She looked confused and didn't understand what we were talking about. Then we get the 3rd person who somewhat knows what we are talking about, but we waited about 20 minutes until someone kind of understood what we were talking about. As this is going on, the phone at the desk is continually ringing, and there are about 5 other workers just standing around laughing and doing nothing to help the queue that is waiting to be assisted at the desk. Finally, Allison, the assistant store manager, showed up and thank goodness she did! She quickly helped solve the problem and helped get the installation scheduled. We even heard someone walk up to the service desk and specially ask for Allison. Sounds like they learned the hard way that the only way your problem is going to be resolved is if Allison can be there to help. After we got home, I got a call from a random person at Lowe's confirming that we picked up the dishwasher. I was in disbelief since we just left Lowe's 10 minutes ago and had scheduled a plumber to come pick it up. My husband ended up driving back to Lowe's to tell the desk that we had already just scheduled the plumbers to pick it up from Lowes through their installation program. All of this to say, if you are buying an appliance from Lowe's, save yourself the trouble and just deliver it to your house and install it yourself. Over the years, I have been generally satisfied when shopping the Elizabeth City Lowe's, but my experience late yesterday afternoon was an exception. The Lowe's website showed 50+ bags of mulch in stock when I ordered ten bags. Lowe's sent a message that the order was ready for pickup, so we drove to the store to do so. Upon arrival, Lowe's personnel said there were no items at the store. My order was then cancelled by Lowe's so I would not be charged for items that were promised, but were not there. read more

You order items online for delivery. You get an email a day later saying what you ordered has been deleted because it is not in stock. They deliver everything else but a key item is missing and you cant finish the job. If you try to call the store to resolve some sort of issue about a delivery, no one answers the phone. Ever. You cannot talk to anyone The customer service is outsourced to some other country. It's obvious English is not their first language. More importantly, it takes 20 minutes for them to look up your order. Then you find out they cant really fix any problem. They apologize a lot and tell you to call or visit the store. See above. When you visit the store and ask a question, nobody knows anything. if you can find someone in a red vest who isn't too busy to talk to you. Appliance delivery people don't seem to know what they are doing. One time, one washing machine delivery person was obviously high. Or they dont show up and nobody calls, sends email, or txt saying they aren't coming. A dishwasher I bought there failed after six months. It took three weeks to get a technician to look at it then of course he didn't have the parts and had to come back. That was another three weeks. Six weeks with a new, non-working dishwasher. I ordered a butcher block countertop. I received the ship notice but it never arrived. The shipper lost it. It took several maddening calls over a couple of weeks to get this resolved. Lowes eventually sent another countertop. A month later the original countertop appears in my driveway and Lowes charged me for it. The customer service person in some other country told me to return it to the store. It was 12 feet long. I don't own a flatbed truck. If I had stock in this company, I'd sell it. read more

LOWES ELIZABETH CITY FAILS BADLY IN CUSTOMER SERVICE! A simple sales transaction for which we paid in full has turned into a customer service nightmare for me as a Senior Citizen Veteran with a serious Disability. I have been to the Lowe's store in Elizabeth City five times in the past 12 days to ask that they resolve the "glitch" in their IT system (as they describe it). I have spent in excess of two full hours at the Customer Service Counter trying to get this issue resolved by speaking with the Store Manager, Anthony and an Assistant Manager, Marvin. They provided absolutely no forward progress and no idea when their mistake will be corrected and our paid-for order can be delivered and completed. Furthermore, I have never heard upper management offer: "It's not our fault, it's the IT people!" as their frustrated excuse. I explained the urgency of them resolving the issue especially in consideration of my situation, but I was willing to wait even longer if they would just fix the problem. Unfortunately, they expected me to wait indefinitely! When after five visits they still could not give me a definitive answer I told them I wanted a refund and would take my business elsewhere. After 30 minutes of Assistant Manager, Amy trying to cancel the sale, she finally said there was a problem with their system and even with my paid Lowe's receipt she could not complete a refund. Apparently, if all else fails, blame the IT System for twelve days and more! I left the store and filed a complaint with Lowe's Corporate. The inept performance and carefree attitude of the Lowe's Manager and two of his Assistant Managers was nothing short of deplorable and insulting. We are in the process of canceling our Lowe's accounts through their Corporate Customer Care Department. We'll gladly drive the distance to Home Depot in the future. I ordered a refrigerator online that should have been delivered from the Kill Devil Hills store but I was told for 12 weeks that deliveries for that store came out of the Elizabeth City store. Allison Kellogg assistant store manager not the store manager which is what she's been telling me Does not tell the truth and has no follow through. Amy in the appliance department was helpful twice and then would no longer talk to me. Whitley the delivery manager so they say did not do as she promised and inspect my refrigerator for its 12th attempt at delivery prior to it leaving the store and yes it was damaged as well. I found out today that the actual store manager is John but I Could not talk to him. It was like it was not an option after 12 weeks of not receiving the refrigerator I ordered. And don't even try to go up the chain of command outside of the store because Lowes makes it nearly impossible to talk to anyone of authority. So after giving me 50% off of a refrigerator that I never received Allison solution was to Cancel my order without any compensation for the three months they've been stringing me along. BEWARE And the worst part is there was a gentleman ahead of me waiting to speak to Allison regarding a refrigerator that he hasn't received after four months!... Today, Lowe's is getting a 1 star rating. My past 2 visits have been TERRIBLE! And I'm pointing my fingers at management. First, during my last visit, I stood at the register & the cashier called on management for a price override. No one came. She called again. No one came. And again. No one came. And making matters worse, the only other register was on pause as well because the cashier needed assistance ... & no one came. IT TOOK FOREVER! Today, I'm 2nd in line. The cashier needed assistance & called. No one came. Called again. No one came. Called a third time. When I finally got to the cashier, she needed assistance again. No one came. Online inventory says 11 in stock of door trim. I put in an order to pick up 5 pieces in 3 hours. White finishing nails 25 in stock. Lowes called 5 hours later to advise NOTHING is in stock & canceled my order. Next day, online inventory shows 0 in stock. Fast forward 10 days later, online inventory says 28 in stock. Great! Put in order for 5 pieces to pick up in 3 hours. Six hours later, they called to say they are out of stock. Very next day, inventory still showing 28 in stock. Walked in the store and looks like 0 in stock, but inventory not updated. Constantly out of stock, this is not an isolated incident. And they want $99 to deliver. Went to the Elizabeth City lowe's tonight around 6:15pm. Went to the back of the store and found a rug that I needed. Carried it to the cash register area and walked up and down the front looking for an open register. THERE WERE NONE. Not a single register open in the store. I asked the employee standing by the self service check out if there truly was not a register open in the store in case I was missing something. He confirmed there was not. I don't work there, I don't get paid by them. I do not expect to have to work in order to then pay them for a product. I set my rug down by self service, said that I do not work here and I left. I prefer to deal with local businesses but I will just go ahead and purchase from Amazon next time. And this particular store is always, always filthy and dusty! I'm not even sure who the manager is, but he/she needs to run this store more efficiently. This has to be the worst Lowe's I've ever gone too. I ordered a Refrigerator back in November 2016 and I still have not received it. I've had to call them and go up there over and over to track down my item that's was paid for in full months ago. Only to be told it's on "back order" and I was just told that last week. It was suppose to be here on 1/25/17 per my last update still waiting.... Then I purchased a dryer and asked for Saturday delivery date I was told that would be fine someone will call me Friday night for set up times. Still no call and today was my scheduled delivery day. I've called them twice first I was told "it's on the truck" now I'm being told I should have it between 430pm and 630pm. Management has been no help at all. Next time, I would rather order from another Lowe's and deal with them or just deal with Home Depot from the beginning. read more

My mother who is recently widowed (2 weeks) had to purchase a new refrigerator we went to Lowes. She purchased a refrigerator at Lowes Elizabeth City. The purchase was fine delivery was another thing. The drivers were an hour and a half after the time advised 1pm to 530 pm they arrived at 7pm. They were there 10 minutes and stated they could not get the fridge through the doors. The fridge in the house was bigger than the new one. They stated they could not deliver it and took it back. My husband measured the door it was fine. They were just late and didn't want to do it. My mom attempted to get a refund from Lowes customer service in the store they were rude and horrible. Not helpful has to call regional customer support to get a refund. We went to Home Depot who has excellent customer Service they had no issues removing the old fridge and putting in the new one. I contracted with Lowe's to do a window install back in Nov. 2017. I also contracted with the Lowe's contractor, Banks Siding to remove rotten wood which was paid for back in Dec. 2017. To this day, I am continuing to be jerked around by Lowe's, their insurance company, the contractors insurance company. I have leaks around the windows, the contractor threw away part of my siding to cause floor damage from a water leak, damaged paneling, hole in wall, torn wall paper, mold and mildew, and after removing the paneling to find where the leak was, HEY! I even have a half of wall stud hanging from the top plate and also found a cigarette butt in my wall. Banks Siding insurance company only wants to repair the wall paper, they claim that a roof leak in the back of the house that was corrected in April 2017 caused all the damage in the front of the house and around the windows.Find a reliable contractor that will do the work they are paid for. read more

Columbus Day was a holiday for me and like most other days off from work, I have projects to do. So it's off to Lowes first thing for supplies. I'm in there around 0715 and it's deserted. This is a great time of day to go to Lowes. I find everything I need and I'm out of there in in less than 20 minutes and that included looking at a few things I wasn't even buying. There's always something in this kind of store that will distract me. Even though they only had a couple of registers open, it was fast and painless. I like to check out down by the lumber products; it always seems faster. This trip was as good as it gets. read more

My wife and I were trying to make a, what we consider a large purchase. It was 40 plus trees, 22 shrubs, 20 bags of compost,20 plus dirt, fertilizer. Any way you get the picture. So we have most of it loaded onto flat carts. Now just to make known I have done this in the past. I asked if we could scan outside in the garden dept and just pull my truck and trailer around to load. The answer was "who gives a shit" that doesn't even make sense, I was asking a dirty looking thick glasses wearing, unshaven, couple days stink, black haired, crossed eyed supervisor. If we could use scan gun to walk down the line of flatbed carts while still in garden dept. And that was his answer then he said "we don't have scan guns" and Lowe's doesn't do that. We left the store immediately left the carts full and bought all the trees and more at the plant park in town and they even loaded truck while I paid inside.
