Hey, it's NOT a Veterans Discount if you don't allow it because an item is "on sale". Hell, anyone can purchase any item "on sale". You are effectively penalizing Veterans for purchasing something "on-sale", because you refuse to honor the Veterans service to this country. An absolute nightmare experience. In summary, it took three times to have the product delivered (once the order was cancelled without my knowledge) and 5+ months before it was installed... incorrectly. No surprise BBB Customer Reviews are 1.12 stars out of 5. I purchased six roller shades. One month later I get a phone call from Lowe's stating the order was cancelled. No reason was given. So, I go into the store looking for an explanation, the sales associate hands me the customer support number for the manufacturer and tells me to call them myself. Uh, isn't this your job? Evidently, they had called Lowe's 3 times with questions and never received a return call, so they cancelled the order. I answered their questions but direction had to come from Lowe's - another 2+ weeks before this was done. Delivery was delayed twice, again no reason given. When it was delivered the mounting hardware was incomplete. Of those delivered, one was incorrectly installed and found to be the wrong dimensions. Yes, the one that needed answers to the questions above. The new shade was reordered. After the scheduled delivery date I received a call from Lowe's - again, the order was cancelled, no explanation given. I made numerous trips to the store for answers to questions been on the phone with Lowe's Executive Customer Relations no less than 20 times. I never received an answer to the delays, mis-management, and no quality control only that "we apologize" even though "they have no idea why this went horribly wrong and understand the frustration" and "can truly sympathize". Finally, my inspection of the installation uncovered extremely low-quality workmanship with broken fasteners, one shade not level to the ground and two weren't installed per initial site survey and agreement. Lowe's only offered a gift card as compensation saying this "was all they could offer" even though they fully acknowledged the excessive delays, mis-management, and no quality control for the product or installation. read more

Sept 2019. Everyone has their summer outdoor furniture on clearance so we decided to check out Lowe's first! Glad we did, Jim in seasonal merchandise, looked up the metals used in a couple of sets we were looking at. We definitely didn't want a set that would rust.. it will be outdoors.. it is an outdoor set BUT some are lightly coated steel so with that knowledge we got a coated aluminum set! Very happy with set, floor model because going into fall, the assistant manager still worked with us so though not cheap we believe we got a good set of 4 chairs with pads and nice size table! read more

Prepare to be invisible at the return desk. It happens every time. Every single time! It's clearly store policy to just ignore people returning a product to keep you from wanting to do it again - ever. Simply put Lowe's, you won, I won't be back to buy ANYTHING! Ever! This way I will have zero chance of putting your surly return staff out by making them actually wait on a customer. Five people, yes five, between the return and pickup desk just standing around with their hands in their pockets chatting with one line open. Two customers total and I stand there for over four minutes like I've vanished from the face of the earth. Another guy walks in and I warn him - "prepare to be invisible" and just laugh. One of the "pickup" women hears me and decides to come open the register that the three others have been all but leaning on. While the three of them had been chatting and finally finishing the one person ahead of me (who was returning a single product) a person I believe to be the manager stops by and chats about upcoming schedules (while two more customers join us to be ignored). Ignored. No "be with you in just a second" no acknowledgement what so ever. IGNORED covers it. When the second return window finally gets opened (by one of the three that was actually working returns) she steps up, stares into space over my head and says: "Next". No acknowledgement of the crap service they are providing, no "sorry about that" when I point out the poor service but hey - I'm just here to return a Father's Day gift - they got the wrong kind of nail gun - but Home Depot is going to make the sale of the right one. read more

No rating. I went to purchase bathroom vanity that was on sale. The employees lied and told me i could not purchase it until I paid $35 for the installer to come to my house to measure. So I paid it and waited 2 weeks for someone to contact me for an appointment to do the measuring. Heard nothing so I called and was told no installer available but would let me know when one was. Another 10 days past and the sale was about to end on the vanity so I called and spoke with the manager, and was told they do not install bathroom vanities! So I arranged for C J Bass ( best local plumbing company) to pick it up and install it. ! read more

My parents just had a section of hall and living room redone in plank flooring. The final install SEEMS to be great! And the install team were very pleasant , clean and seemed to be working efficiently. However - the other steps in the process were very frustrating. First - the man who came to measure came in and rushed around and when I tried to explain the lines to my elderly parents. he said "I don't have time for this" and said he had to go. After going to see the design and discussing the changes that the "measurer" neglected to update, the store scheduled a second measurement and despite our request not to, they sent the same man- who was very patronizing to my 84 year old mother. Then the new design was approved and materials (per their calculations) were paid for , and delivered about a week later. Well as they were installing, the install guys realized they were going to be a box or two short so my husband drove to lowes for more flooring so that they could continue working. Then, as they were placing the transitions they saw they were going to be a 1/2 a length short, so back to lowes my husband went. Fortunately , Lowes had one piece in stock and the install team were able to complete the project. I am not sure how this would have played out had we not been there as my parents are elderly, but while everyone was pleasant at the store I think the store needs to vet their MEASUREMENT people and teach them how to do the math correctly. So really it's Install: 5 stars Customer service: 3.5 stars Measurement "Guy" : 0 stars and a few wet noodles. read more

Okay...as my profile says, good customer service is the #1 thing I look for. Today, Daniel (one of the store managers) made it a solid 4 star visit BUT, I'm deducting one star due to the reason I had to get him involved in the first place....this review is of the service, not the product. I purchased a riding lawnmower and needed it delivered. Today, was the delivery day. Of course, after the driver left, 3 things stood out.... - gas already in the tank (not much, but some) - the key was in the "on" position - there was grass and muck hung up in the mower deck It appeared that this mower had been used at least once AND the battery was dead. I called the store and talked to Daniel who was more than willing to send me another mower, but it'd have to wait another week and I was already in the mood to cause havoc in the yard. After showing him the pictures of what I was talking about, he deducted another 10% ($130) off of the cost. I'm okay with that vs waiting. The battery was so dead, it wouldn't even try to charge, so I removed it, back up to the store and got a free battery. NOW...like I said, deduct the one star due to this mower should have NEVER showed up at my house like it did. I don't think it's too much to ask that when spending this kinda money on something that "they" give it a good inspection, maybe make sure it starts/runs prior to going through the pain of loading 400lbs on a vehicle and delivering it to a customer. The only reason why I'm writing 4 stars is because of Christina and Daniel who helped us out today. The rest of this was a nightmare. We placed an order for a refrigerator and after the order was placed the order number was changed by the manufacturer, so after an entire MONTH of having no refrigerator, 3 phone calls saying it was coming the 1st, turns out the order wasn't even valid therefore wasn't placed. We were also told we could get 10% with no interest financing. Turns out there was interest applied monthly because of that 10%. We could have just used our military discount had we'd known that, but we were trying to make their jobs easier with placing the order. This credit card company and the warehouse should have informed us of this error, and noticed it, they did neither, after 3 phone calls discussing this. Also we never even received a credit card, we had called 3 times and they said it was coming. When we called today they said they sent it to the address on my ID, which is in CAIFORNIA. Why on earth would I buy an appliance in Florida and have my mailing address in California?? I made it clear to her we had another address here in Florida. I'm beyond disappointed in this company as a whole. This has been an absolute nightmare. On top of it, we've been going broke eating out all the time, yet there was no compensation for this huge ordeal??? Also have to say the people at the credit card company were mostly rude when we called. Once again though, I'd like to give a huge praise to Christina and Daniel who helped us in customer service today. They spent well over an hour working with us, calling the credit card company, and making sure everything was worked out correctly. If it wasn't for that, I'd be completely infuriated right now. Let's establish the fact from the beginning that I do not wear the tool belt in my family, so I am in need of assistance every time I enter into Lowe''s. Like in every great story there is a happy ending. Every time I have gone into this store and asked for help I have received it. Store personnel are happy to walk you over to the place that you need to go to pick up your item and will answer any questions that you have. If they don't know the answer they will find someone who has the answer. That makes it really easy for us non tool belt wearing persons. I have learned an awful lot coming to this location and perhaps with a little more education I will start wearing a tool belt in the near future. I have had to return items and it's always easy to do so. Getting a Lowe's credit card gives you choices and selecting 5% off was not difficult. I feel more knowledgeable these days so I tip my cap to Lowe's and their fine workers. read more

Ordered a fridge to be delivered on Monday. Sunday evening got a robocall saying it would be delivered between 4-8pm on Monday evening. My wife stayed home from work to make sure we got the fridge since we just got our old one out. I got home about 7pm Monday and no call or delivery yet. I called the storm and got an automated delivery status saying it was still set for 4-8pm. At 8:22pm there was no call or delivery yet. I called the store and got the automated delivery status saying it had changed to Wednesday. 2 days without a fridge and no phone call letting us know anything. Approximately 4pm on Tuesday, I received a call where they left a message that they wanted to try to reschedule....24 hours later you call to reschedule? I tried to call the number back repeatedly with no success of reaching anyone. Now I finally spoke to an assistant manager at the store who says it is set up for Friday...Terrible customer service, terrible communcation, and this is now Thursday and we are 3 days with no fridge. We are at a loss of approximately $250 with loss of work Monday and the delivery company called me this afternoon offering me $100 and no more for our trouble. I love the Lowes store and the selection, but WILL NEVER trust them to deliver anything again. Complete nightmare! read more

Huge Lowes warehouse store ... If Lowes carries it then they have it! Unless the supplier is out of stock, love the various selections of hardware home items. Great clearance items to choose From too. Staff are helpful when you can find them available. Garden center is vast, well organized, and abundant in plants, flowers, fruit trees, and veggies - along with everything one needs to make their garden grow. As a warehouse store, there are lots more inventory choices on the floors & isles to select from than regular locations. Enjoy! read more

So, sadly, I was reminded again why I don't like shopping at Lowes. I went in looking for towel bars, shower safety bars, mop rack, and some pvc. I got help with the mop rack--but couldn't find what I was looking for; at least the gentleman who helped me directed me to bathroom area for the towel and safety bars. Not much variety in towel bars, and no safety bars to be found--nor could I find a sales associate to help. I went to the pvc pipes, and generally found what I needed, though I had to take a 10' section of pipe, when I only needed 2'. I went to the register, and was checking out. When I asked about a military discount, the cashier pointed me to another cashier at customer service who could take care of me. I waited in line behind a lady being served; eventually two other people got behind me in the same line. Meanwhile, another "associate" was working on a computer on the customer service counter, and third associate showed up and sat down in front of a third computer. Neither of them said anything to the three of us waiting in line. After several minutes, I took my items back to the first lady and said I didn't want to wait any longer, and left. I went to Home Depot, where using theif app I found everthing I needed quickly (except for the towel bars), and I got my 2' section of pvc, didn't have to take 10'. I quickly checked out, and got my military discount with no problem. I guess I should have gone to Home Depot right away. I ordered a washer and dryer online from Lowe's, the filling store for this order is Fernadina Beach. The washer and dryer were supposed to have been delivered on Wednesday the 25th. I rearranged my schedule and spent the whole day waiting for delivery. At 5:00pm I contacted Spirit Logistics, the delivery company that Lowe's uses only to be told they could not reach the driver who was to make the delivery. I spoke with 3 different people at Spirit only to be told they could not locate the driver but, would get back to me. I never received a return call from anyone at Spirit. I called Lowe's and spoke with the manager who promised to find out what is going on and would call me right back. I never received a return call and within minutes I started receiving emails from Spirit and Lowe's confirming my washer and dryer had been delivered. As it was Thanksgiving the next day I had to wait until Friday to call Lowe's back. Friday morning I called Spirit only to be told their system stated I received the washer and dryer and that I needed to call Lowe's. I spoke with the same manager at the Fernandino store and was told he located my washer and dryer, promising it would be delivered on Saturday the 28th. Again, I rearranged my schedule and waited all day for the delivery which never came. I called Spirit only to be told my washer and dry were not on the delivery truck. I then called the manager at the Fernadina Lowe's and spoke with a different manager this time. He told me my washer and dryer were sitting there at the store along with the delivery paperwork and it had not been loaded on the delivery truck. I told him to cancel my order. He asked that I give him the chance to speak with the manager at Spirit and assured me the washer and dryer would be delivered on Monday the 30th. He said he would have the manager of Spirit call me to assure me that I would receive the delivery. No one from Spirit called nor did the manager at Lowe's call back to confirm he spoke with the manager at Spirit. The lack of customer service, communication, and honesty is appalling. I will never do business with Lowe's again. read more

There is clearly no one at this store that knows what they are doing. I went to buy a grill, have it assembled and delivered. Took a long time to get an associate. Cashier checked me out and gave me an assembly ticket. Asked what this was for...answer: I don't know. She also notated customer pickup, not delivery. Went to customer service and had to get re-checked out. Was told my grill would be delivered Monday between 8-12. Sunday get an e-mail that my delivery would be 12:30-4:30. By 6:30 called the store. Was told my grill wasn't assembled. Got frustrated and cancelled the order. Called corporate to complain about this store's mismanagement. Next day get a call that my grill will be assembled Thursday. Called corporate again. Manager from the store got back to me and told me he would make sure the order gets cancelled and I would never have to deal with it again. Get a call today. Guess what? The grill is on the way. Been trying to get tile installed for weeks now. Paid for materials and installation up front but still no tile and no scheduled installation. One employee says " all set" and then next employee says " oh no, you need to schedule the tile delivery." Next employee you talk to assured you tile will be delivered first thing in the morning and then when you call at 10 to ask where it is, next employee says Lowe's never promises to deliver at a set time. What? Do all these employees get the same training or is it just up to each employee to promise whatever they want? Look elsewhere for tile installation as it seems to me that this place has no control over the process. read more

After meeting with the Lowe's Designer, Pamela Goyette, 2 days ago and telling her we needed the design by today this is what I received. It shows a lack of concern as well as bad business practices. This is the 3rd kitchen we were going to do with Lowe's but at this point you have lost our business unless you can miraculously recover from this terrible service. Today 1/8/16 at 11:34 AM "The kitchen designer I had requested do your design is off today but I am checking with the second designer to see what's been completed on it. Since you will be doing the installation and only purchasing the product from us, I will be turning the project over to kitchen design instead of going through me since I am involved in work that our general contractor performs, which includes installation and demo. Also, I was corrected this morning that since you are doing your own installation, we will not be able to go out and measure initially. We will use the dimensions given to us and only provide the measuring service, and responsibility, when we are installing the product. I apologize for the error in information. The countertop, however, will be priced and after the cabinets are installed someone will come out and template at that time. Again, I apologize for the miscommunication. As soon as I can get with the cabinet designer this morning we will know when the design can be emailed to you. I would like to commend the knowledge and service provided by Maggie Howe, who is a consultant working in the Lowe's Garden Center in Fernandina Beach. She advised me last year on some plants for my garden, and so I returned to visit her again this spring. She is very knowledgeable about the plants in the Garden Center as to their cold hardiness, sun and shade preferences as well as size, so I got several plants. I wanted to get a red banana plant, but it was $70, a bit high for my budget. I left my phone # with her in the event they got more in. She called when they got one in for $30, so I returned and picked one up with the help of Sue, one of the employees in the Garden Center, who found several to my liking so I picked the one I liked best. read more
