The employees are rude and no help at all. When asked question they know nothing and don't even to bother or help. The Lowe's in Frankfort Kentucky isn't knowledgeable or friendly user in any of the departments. They just blow you off. WOW! I see that a guy went to lowes and applied and got denied because he was disabled in Elizabethtown, ky. So I see how Lowes works now! I'm disabled and I haven't even applied with lowes yet and thought about it but if this is how they want to treat people and there customers- I know they are rude and disrespectful, even unknowledgeable. But as of now I will terminate my C/C and my husbands contract with lowes and go elsewhere! Customer service was excellent and helped us get exactly what we were looking for in the winter storm!

This is a much smaller store than some of the Lowe's stores in nearby Lexington. But since I am completely renovating a house in Frankfort, this location is quicker than lexington. While the store is smaller, there have been very few things that I have needed that I didn't find. The biggest issues is they don't always have the specific power tool in stock that I need. The air compressors seem to be low in stock which was an issue when I bought the only one of a specific brand and it didn't work. I ended up taking it back and going to Lowes.com to get it. On the weekend, this place is packed. During the week, I see a group of contractors gabbing about projects over cups of coffee. It is still a small town and every one knows everyone. I've posted one negative review on Google 2 years ago. Time passes and we needed a new refrigerator so I walked into the store, told the nice salesperson what model I wanted, ordered it, paid for it and was given a delivery date. The date came, the delivery person contacted us with the window and we waited home all day. The delivery window ended at 6 pm, no truck. Called store. They contacted their delivery service (Spirit Delivery and Logistics. Remember that name.) We were told "they couldn't get down the driveway and customer didn't answer phone so we left. Truck was too big we will come back tomorrow with a smaller truck." That sucks. We had no missed messages on our phones and they had both numbers and Amazon, fed ex and ups are here every week with tall trucks. Next day around 6 pm we get a call from the Spirit driver. " We are at the end of your driveway but we can't deliver the refrigerator because our truck is too big." I said that was what you said yesterday! I told him I didn't care how he got it up the driveway if he had to carry it on his back! He hung up. I drove down to the road and they drove past me heading toward the highway. I chased him down. We had words in the middle of the road. It was the same driver (he later admitted) but his dispatcher told him to use the same truck even after being advised it won't work. (It would have but the driver refused because he was afraid that if he damaged the truck he would have to pay for it). I asked him to leave the refrigerator in my neighbors garage. They did and left. 4 days later Lowes sent two local employees out and using their dolly and MY TRUCK we got the refrigerator to our house. They carefully moved it in, hooked it up, removed my old refrigerator and took the trash. Great guys. Turns out that this was their job before lowes gave the trucks to spirit delivery and contracted with them as does Home Depot. Summary; we like the refrigerator, the store people are great but as long as they use Spirit I'll never buy another appliance there. If they had not given us a significant discount for all the delivery issues we would have canceled this order. Check spirit reviews nationwide. To start with store manager has no personality nor does most of the cashiers. They had a display of mirrors the big sign read Was 130.00 and the one stuck on the box the size of a matchbox reed sale 64.30 . There is a natural frame and a black frame all in the box mixed together. I picked out two black frame and to my surprise was charged 130.00 each . I went back in to find out that the manager said the black sold better than the natural so he had marked one down and not the other but all still in same box together .I said my peace to the manager I also had 1080 .00 in bath fixture I had just Purchased. So I will be going to Home Depot to purchase the fixtures again and return the others to Lowes!! I have been along time customer but I am done with them and the way they do this to people. Lowes and kitchenaid problems. I had a dishwasher installed two weeks ago that I purchased at Lowe's and it quit last night. It is a top of the line kitchenaid. I called Lowe's to bring it back and they said no because I didn't use my Lowe's card. I looked online and this model has a ton of problems. I called kitchen aid service line took five minutes to go through their automated menu to find out they were closed on the weekend. I won't use my Lowe's card in the future I'll use my Home Depot card and buy a Bosch instead. read more

Staff is pretty friendly, although finding someone to help you with the knowledge to help you is very hard to do here. Had a bathroom put in and paid approximately $10,000, flooring was horrible and workmanship and quality we're the same. Would not recommend for anything other than getting tools or parts for something. read more

This store has most of what I need when I'm fixing something around the house. But, if you are buying paint you may want to do your homework and look for other options. I'm happy with the paint that I've bought here but, good luck getting help. There is usually nobody anywhere around the paint department. And, if there is there is a huge line. If they would staff accordingly this wouldn't be an issue. read more

I am not one to leave reviews, but I feel the need to warn the general public of what to expect when entering this Lowe's. This store is NOT COVID FRIENDLY. I counted 5 employees who were wearing their masks down (only covering their mouth). There were also multiple customers in the store that had no face mask whatsoever. I was taken aback when I was informed by an employee that upper management was in the store so they were being "extra careful" until they left. If that is what being extra careful looks like, I would hate to imagine what this Lowe's looks like without big brother in the room. I heard a customer ask one of the employees to lift their mask over their nose, and afterwards the employee complained to a coworker about "germaphobes". That being said, I did receive amazing service from one employee who was able to do her job flawlessly and provide excellent consultation- all while wearing a mask properly! read more

I have seen some bad reviews on here and I have seen some great ones. I renovated my downstairs and bought a lot of items. I have also gone in probably 2x week for six or seven months now. I have had some really great help from staff who have left their department to walk me all the way to the other side of the store to point out what I was looking for! Some stores will just say oh that's on isle whatever...and send you on your way. I have had tons of help in the tool section finding the right blades for my project (new to wood working), and actually pointed to a less costly item because they were the same quality just one was higher priced. I painted every wall in my house, the paint was great, each of my colors matched the paint chart and I love them. It gets busy so there are times you have to wait for help, most times I go in on "off" times and I have plenty of help! The older gentleman in the electric hand took section knows me onsite and greets me with a " what project are you working on now" always pleasant always helpful and listens to what I need, even if a crazy description I have of the tool because I don't know the name of it! I appreciate the patience they give to a new wood worker!! read more

I can't begin to describe how unhappy I am with this store. I am having a lot of work done to my house and I am having to schedule a bunch of estimates and buy a lot of supplies. They have a bunch of college kid employees that have no idea what they are doing and are very understaffed so it's hard to find any help at all. I scheduled an appointment for estimates to be done on my home and I'm under and time crunch since it's a grant program. Since the employee who didn't know what he was doing scheduled my appointment wrong then I have to wait another week to get any estimates done just shy 1 day of the deadline now. Additionally, they had a door I wanted to buy on sale so I went home to measure and make sure it would fit my house, then called the store since it was close to closing time, not only did no one answer the phone but they sold the door before I could come pick it up. Biggest waste of my time and money ever. I would go somewhere else if i could but this is the only home building supply store in town. If we still had Home Depot this Lowe's store would be in trouble. read more

I shop here a lot and have had some great experiences. This review is solely based on my experience buying a special order door. I called to get an estimate on the cost of a custom sized door. A few days later, a nice gentleman named Barry came out. He said Lowe's would call with an estimate on Monday. They did, and left a voicemail with no return number or extension, just information on the cost and for us to come in and look at door styles to finish the order. If you've ever dealt with Lowe's, you know if you need help, you need an expert in a specific area. For a specialty door, we wanted to make sure we went in when a door specialist could help us. With us working during the day, we were afraid no one could help us properly in the evening hours. We called the store back and asked for the man who had left us the message. The front desk associate seemed like she'd never heard of him or the guy who measured for our door! She left a message for someone to call back. Two days later, no call. Called back again and no one in the milling section would answer. We left a message again with front desk for someone to please call. A few days later called the Lowes '800' number. The rep was not able to reach anyone at Frankfort Lowe's via telephone. She said just to go in to the store, and I explained (again) I wanted to be sure someone knowledgeable would be gone after regular daytime business hours or if I needed to come in during the day. She sent a direct message to a manager to call me. No one called me, ever. We went in to the store later and low and behold...no door specialist there. A nice young lady tried her best to help us and she was really struggling which went on about 15 minutes. I was feeling really uneasy about buying a specialty door at this point. Finally someone who knew about the doors showed up and helped us complete the order. I give Lowe's an F in communication.
