I brought my daughter here a few weeks ago to see the butterflies after remembering that my son enjoyed them when he was her age. At the time my son was here (years ago), the admission was free. However, it's now $10 per person. I was a bit daunted by this because I thought $10 just to see the little butterfly greenhouse garden was a bit much... .... then after we exited the garden, we stumbled across an amazing children's outdoor play garden! I did not recall seeing this place before and my daughter was absolutely delighted! We loved it so much that we left to go pick up my son and bring him back the same day. They both spent hours playing in the dirt, with the toy food, climbing the structures, making a water fountain, playing in the tent, and so forth. Definitely worth the $10 per person for them to have that experience. We were also blown away by the fun selection of decor and children's garden toys and accessories inside the shop. The employees were super friendly and nice, too. Great spot. Will definitely be back. This place has also inspired me to consider having a garden. Maybe.

Even though we didn't see many butterflies this time, the visit was still wonderful. The greenhouse is full of beautiful flowers and the landscaping is very well done. It's such a peaceful and relaxing place to walk around. We also bought a lemon tree, which became a lovely gift for our daughter. Highly recommend visiting. This Joann's is a bit off the beaten path, kind of behind some other stores in an old shopping center. It has a huge parking lot and there's always tons of parking. The store itself is feels old and it's sort of crowded. And compared to other locations, their stock isn't nearly as expansive. I crochet, and I would say that their yarn stock is easily a quarter of the size of other Joann's locations. But, I've been able to find things there that I need. The staff are friendly and always eager to help me get the most of all of my digital and physical coupons.

For years I've wanted to purchase a new mattress for our guest bedroom. Finally this summer in…read moreanticipation of occupying that room myself after scheduled knee surgery we made it a priority of getting a comfortable mattress for that room. The mattress we currently had felt something like sleeping on a concrete slab due to its extra firmness. Sleep Outfitters was extremely accommodating with my repeat visits of trying the beds that we were considering. The manager encouraged resting on the different beds. When I asked for her opinion she said beds are a matter of personal opinion and she did not want to sway my choice. She did educate us on the difference between types of mattresses (traditional, memory foam, and hybrid), She also educated us on the available frames and their features. Finally I had my choice down to just two mattresses. At that point she also informed us that purchases have a 120 day trial period and if I really couldn't decide it is best to purchase the lower cost mattress and pay the difference if we decided to change our minds. If we downgraded from the most expensive they would trade it out but not refund the difference in cost. I was pretty confident in my choice and it was a Sterns & Foster Hybrid Mattress with memory foam and coils that was soft but not too soft. When it came time to complete that sale the manager worked with us on the best price she could offer. We knew we were shopping during a sales period so we got that price. In addition since my husband works for the State she was able to apply an additional 10 percent discount. She clearly went over the warranty on the bed. Then the final stage was to schedule a delivery date. We were able to specify a date that worked for us. Delivery went very smooth. The men removed our old mattress and box springs and set up the adjustable base inside the antique bed frame that we have. Then they topped it with the hybrid bed and delivered the spill proof mattress cover. Woohoo, I am happy as can be with our purchase. It is like sleeping on a cloud. We'll be back to buy the exact same mattress for our master bedroom during the week long Black Friday Sale in November.

I'm a fabric junky and needed to find a fabric shop to browse since Hancock Fabric went out of…read morebusiness. Originally I had planned to shop at the Jo-Ann Store in Louisville. Then an appointment brought me to Frankfort so I decided to check out the Frankfort Store. The night before my trip to Frankfort I checked out Joann.com and found I could search for particular key words and see the fabric selections. Wow, I plunked in "Moose" and found the cutest fleece fabric to make a blanket for my grandson. I was able to check how many yards were available in the Frankfort store. Perfect! Then I browsed on-line for fabric that I could use to make bathroom curtains. Then I checked out fabric needed for Halloween costumes. And the list goes on & on. I printed up a variety of coupons for Jo-Ann's to bring with me. The next day I arrived at Jo-Ann's with my list of materials and quantities needed of each. I also brought my tablet in my purse in case I needed to pull up the specific fabric I was looking for. No need. One by one I spotted each fabric. Both the manager and the sales girl were very nice about climbing ladders to get the bolts down off a top shelf. When it came time to measure and cut the fabric I had both of them working on my large order. Because I was organized this process went really smooth. At check out I handed the manager my printed sheet of coupons. She scanned each bar code before ringing up the order and said the computer would figure out the rest. I was very pleased with the whole process and will be back in the future. The store isn't huge but it has a nice variety of fabrics, notions, patterns and crafts.

I am a flight attendant and purchased fabric at this location in anticipation of a trip to Shanghai…read morethat I was scheduled on. I was having two small shirts made but I told the staff I wanted enough material for two MEDIUM shirts so I could make sure I had enough. Fly over there and the tailor says I barely have enough material for one shirt much less two. When I return to Jo-Ann's they admitted that the person who helped me isn't any good but offered me nothing. The staff at this location are not well versed in their trade or in customer service. It's worth the drive to Lexington to avoid this place.
